We saw the wait staff reaching into a big metal bowl to dish up the fries for the order with her bare hands. We had just watched her walk in to the kitchen with a different order so no she didn't wash her hands at all. The staff cooking also didn't have gloves and touched food and non food related items repeatedly. Unfortunately the wait area is literally right next to the kitchen and there isn't a door so seeing inside is very easy. We chose not to eat here after this. Wow the burgers here are good. Like really good. Patties were thick too. Like all good burgers it's a little pink inside and very juicy. Id recommend getting a large fry and sharing with your partner. It's cheaper than 2 small fries and you get more as well. The service is a little slow and feels like there understaffed. We have been looking for a new favorite burger place in Provo, and this is it! The burgers we had (the Stoneman and Grumpy Claire's) were big, juicy, and delicious, cooked just right. The fries come plain so you can add your choice of seasonings on the table, but we liked them with the provided fry sauce the best. The raspberry milkshake was yummy! The staff were friendly and the music was good but not too loud (a relief, these days). This place is a little challenging to find--park in the back and come in the back door (get it?) of a hatchet-throwing place (apparently that's a thing) and up the stairs to the dining area--but it's worth looking for. Although I waited almost 45 minutes for my meal and came close to walking out, I'm glad I didn't because the food tasted really good. So currently sitting in the restaurant. It has now been over an hour wait in this journey, close to an hour and a half. To add misery to hunger we have a 4 year old constantly saying "I'm hungry. I'm hungry." Yes. You can start to feel my anguish. There is still a large party in front of us waiting even longer. Who knows when this will end. In addition, they never once told us it would be this long of a wait which would have been nice to know with a toddler and a baby. It would also have been appreciated for them to come visit our table during this extended stay... I mean at least one refill would be nice. Or at least an apology. But maybe that's asking too much. Then when we got up to ask how much longer since we've been waiting for 1.5 hours they of course said "everyone has been waiting that long." Cool. Cool. Cool. Thanks for understanding. Food is usually good here but I may not even get to taste it. Definitely needs some improvement or at least some more staff. My recommendation would only come here if you're ok having your next birthday here. Addendum 1: my daughter has become so hungry she has started to eat the table. Addendum 2: there was one lovely blonde woman who saved this place one star. She came and asked us if we had gotten our food yet. This was 15 mins after we were told by someone else they would check. A friend of mine introduced me to this place when I first moved to Provo. It is really a hidden gem as it is located on the upstairs of the hatchet throwing place. We were warmly welcome and we could even choose where we wanted to sit. Shortly, we ordered our burgers and large fries. The burgers came first and I was very impressed! The burger is made to order and FRESH. The beef is very juicy and flavorful and the veggies on it are fresh too. This knocks In N Out and Culver's out of the park! The fries came and they are AMAZING! There are 4 seasonings you can choose from to have with the fries, mine were Cajun. The large fries come in a massive quantity, so be warned. Those with their in-house sauce are amazing. It is pricey to eat there, but it's worth it! If you haven't been there, do it! You'll love it! Yes, they say that food will take a while to prepare with a small kitchen, but they didn't warn that the rest of the service would be just as bad. We showed up and waited a few minutes to be seated upstairs. 20 minutes to get a menu and water. Another 20 minutes to take our order. And about 75 minutes to get our burgers. And that's after we went up to the front desk and asked for an ETA on our food. Apparently our food had been ready for a little while they said and the burgers and fries were pretty cold. Tried this place for the first time, and after our first bites my husband and I both looked at each other and just said, "This was a GREAT choice." We got the Stoneman Burger and the Tokyo Taxi Driver burger. Both were SOOOO GOOD. The Tokyo burger had wasabi mayo which somehow had all the flavor and none of the heat, which we liked. The Cajun fries were delicious. The salted French fries were a little too salty for me, but hey it's in the name that they are salty. The kids loved them. And they offered mini kid burgers, which were the perfect size for my 5 and 2 year olds. The service was amazing and so friendly, and the location was very clean. DEFINITELY check out their bakery. To start my review, I want it to be known that we called in our order to-go. I will not be able to comment much on service, ambience or restaurant experience. I have been curious about this place for a while now. Knowing that it shares a space with Heber Hatchets I wondered how that would work. I knew that the food had to be good as they opened during covid lockdown and are still kicking. I ordered the Stoneman burger and it was amazing. First couple bites were salty but I either grew numb to it or the salt was unevenly applied. Juicy hamburger meat, onion, mushroom, bacon, BBQ sauce and guac combined in such a way to make me want ten of them. An order of salted waffle rounded out a great meal. The fries were nothing to write home about. My wife ordered the Frank and Charlie burger with cajun fries. She described the experience as a Philly cheesesteak hamburger. The amount of toppings could not be contained by a mere mortal bun. The cajun fries were thoroughly coated borderline excessive. But that shouldn't detract from the overall review. One day, I would like to throw some hatchets and enjoy another burger at the locale. But my three year old being a three year old and flying hatchets still being dangerous, I might have to settle for the to-go experience for the foreseeable future. read more

I ordered the stoneman burger because it sounded like my favorite burger (guacamole bacon) and my girlfriend's favorite burger (mushroom swiss) had a baby. The burger was huge, the meat was incredibly juicy and flavorful, the onions were soft and sweet, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. This is a pretty good burger place. I am always pumped about new burger places, especially in DT Provo. I ordered the Old World Burger. While we waited, we were brought Ice cold water in these large metal mugs that matched the vibe really well. The burger as a whole was a little on the smaller side. The half-pound patty felt out of place when compared to the bun and overall size of the whole burger. The bun was top quality, didn't absorb any liquids, and contained everything really well. The beef was well cooked and the mushroom and cheeses were the right mix of melted and crunchy. The mustard that comes on this burger was WAY overpowering. It was the only flavor I could taste which was a bummer because the other toppings have such good flavor of their own. Because of this, I didn't enjoy this burger but I can tell it is well made. I do plan on coming back and trying a different option. The fries are awesome and the service is excellent. read more
