    Molten Cake
    Bethany W.

Hot take: I think this place is overrated and looks/feels boujee....but doesn't show it in the food and service. They started opening late so we came for some lava cake. They just put the spoons directly on the table and gave us the cakes still in the tin inside a ramekin. When I came years ago, I swear they used to serve ice cream with the molten cakes and they would be out on a plate. Either way....not the greatest experience. And we almost got charged more than what the cost was on the menus.

We came here for my sister's birthday and booked the afternoon tea party--it was so cute! We each got to choose our own tea, and the chef brought out a beautiful spread of finger sandwiches, biscuits, and little desserts. Everything was so delicious and thoughtfully done. The girls who served us were all so sweet, helpful with any questions, and gave us great suggestions. Such a fun and delightful experience!

Spanakopita - A white plate holds a grilled sandwich with grill marks, accompanied by a small bowl of yellow soup topped with shredded cheese and chives, and a side salad with mixed greens and cherry tomatoes. The meal is served on a white marble table, with a silver spoon nearby and a small white pumpkin in the corner.

Such a cute little place to have a tea party at in downtown Provo. Stopped by bc I saw on TikTok somebody mentioned that they have locally made artisan chocolate- and I always like to bring little sweet treats home as pasalubong (souvenirs/gifts) for friends and family! They have samples of the chocolate by the cashier so try it before you buy it! The toffee was so good, but too bulky for me to take home but we tried the chocolate with the cacao bitters and spice (forgot the name but it's part of the university series) and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was! I love that they have different chocolate highlighting different places in Utah. The server/cashier Abby was so nice and friendly, gave some great recommendations for the chocolates and just an all around great server. Next time I come here I'd love to check out the tea experience since everyone around us was getting it- it looked delicious! I imagine coming here during the holidays or a special occasion is a great treat

I love Taste! It's a really cute place that's perfect for dates and tea parties. I took a tour of their chocolate factory, and they explained the entire process of making chocolate. It was pretty interesting. I'm a huge fan of bean-to-bar chocolate and they have chocolates from all over the world available at their store. Their hot cocoa was delicious; very rich in flavor. I tasted some of their chocolates, and my favorite was Mt. Timpanogos, which has honeycomb in it. While I enjoyed my time there, I felt their experiences and desserts were overpriced, hence the 4-star.

Good place for chocolate tasting and tea or chocolate drinks. I liked the brownie and the ambience.

There were things I liked, and things I loved. Love the decor and the balsamic vinegar. Liked the food. They boast about having exceptional hot chocolate. I was not impressed. Not only have I made better, they used fake whip cream giving an oily mouth feel. The taste of the chocolate was ok. The salad that came with the samich was bitter, but the balsamic dressing had me eating it anyway. The "soup" tasted like tea. It was ...odd. They ask you to tip before you get your food, like a fast food place. Which is difficult to do.

What a beautiful environment to have a tea party with friends. Everything that was served to us was beautifully displayed and tasted great. I went back with my mother. Reserve your day and time online so they can prepare ahead. The colors snd decor reminded me of Paris France.

I've been here twice in the last week. My niece and I stopped in for some dessert last week and I saw that they had a food menu as well. We tried out the dessert and joined some last spots for the chocolate tasting and factory tour. The employees were informative and fun! We had a great time. The dessert, chocolate and even vinegar samples were amazing. My friend and I returned later in the week and I loved our experience. The food, presentation and employees were once again fabulous. The ambiance is fantastic and the decor is so tasteful. (Pun totally intended).

Afternoon, tea! So exciting! I got the ginger, mint tea and my friend got the Coco. We started with an assortment of sandwiches, then moved onto the scones with jam and mascarpone and ended with an assortment of delectable desserts. We sat at the front table next to the window. The sun was shining and it was a terrific spot. Afterwords, it's nice to look at all the different items you can purchase and take home. I got a few fun things and I had to get a piece of the devil's food cake with raspberry custard. Last time I got the coconut cake to take home, and I tried it with the raspberry vinegar. Super yummy! You have to make reservations in advance for afternoon tea. It was my friend's first time having afternoon tea and she enjoyed it immensely we both did she made reservations for the next weekend for her daughters birthday. I will definitely be back there are still so many different things I want to try.

This review is for the chocolate tasting experience! Such a posh and classy date night or experience with friends! We got to tour the chocolate making factory and learned all about how their chocolate is made from the bean to the bar! Our hostess was kind and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions well. After the little tour and explanation, we sat down to our tasting experience. It was all laid out beautifully and our hostess instructed us on how to properly taste the chocolates to get the full experience. She then explained the origins and complexities of each chocolate variety. We had little note cards to take notes and water to cleanse the palette. They also include some drinking vinegars for the more adventurous foodies. The fancy Nutella they gave us was TO DIE FOR. After the event we got to browse their selection of chocolates and purchased a few at a discounted rate. We loved this experience and would love to do it again another night! It's definitely a fabulous upscale experience that any chocolate lover or foodie would enjoy!

First time trying this place. Very unique and a little fancy atmosphere. They don't have high chairs at all. They have a smaller menu. We tried every sandwich. My favorite sandwich was the spanakopita. We also each got their season soup which was white cheddar cauliflower and it was absolutely delicious. We tried the scones which weren't even really scones, they were more like biscuits. We also tried the molten cake and the s'mores dessert. The molten cake was good and moist but didn't have any chocolate that oozed out like molten cakes usually have. The s'mores dessert was so dang good though and it was unique. My 2 favorite things we got was the soup and the s'mores dessert.

Rating (maximum points = 5) Value for money: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Food Quality: 5 Customer Service: 3 Look and Feel (Ambiance): 5 Thank you, Come Again?: 5 Did you know that Provo offers one of the most affordable afternoon tea sessions? If you didn't and you're an afternoon tea fan I would highly recommend taking a trip to Taste 117. It was roughly $28 a person. Highly affordable and they have tasty selections. At the Grand America Hotel in downtown SLC, the starting price is $40 a person. I've been to the Grand America four times for afternoon tea and their menu has not changed and gotten stale. Taste 117 absolutley satisfied my urge for something fresh. Please note that it's recommended to go on their website to reserve a spot. On the website it's possible to also pre-pay. Drinks: I went with the classic Black Tea and my partner isn't a big tea fan. We ended up getting a Cacao Tea (comes with a French press). Both were equally delicious. Savory: classic cucumber sandwich, roast beef sandwich, turkey strawberry puff pastry, and blackberry compote with goat cheese on a blini pancake. Recommendation to add some sort of au jus dipping sauce for the roast beef. It got a little dry after the second bite. Sweet and Savory: Buttery Scones with Raspberry jam and clotted cream. I'm salivating just thinking about it. The scone was soft on the inside and a bit crisp on the edge. Reminded me a bit of a the pie crust from a Marie calendar's Pot Pie. Sweet: Three chocolate items were offered. 1/ Devils Food Cupcake (chocolate cake with spiced whipped cream), 2/ Brownie (decadent dark chocolate brownie), 3/ Blackberry shortcake and cream (this was cream and refreshing). Recommendation to change up the sweet variety. By the time my party ate the desserts, they all felt one note. Chocolate Brownie, fresh fruit tart, and some sort of custard base pudding would be a good trio. Overall, I can't wait to return and bring in my friends and family. The only issue we had was that there weren't many customers in the restaurant and so the staff was focused on cleaning and being in the back room. There were a few times where we needed to go search for the staff when we needed something or we were left completely alone in the store front. This poses a security risk for the staff or the customers. Recommendation to check on your customers even when it's slow. Never ever leave the front unattended. Would you go? Let me know. We spent most of the time in the van and when we did stop at the locations, we weren't able to go inside to tour any of them or even use a bathroom at them, we just stood in the driveways to learn about them. I admire her passion for teaching, but we cannot for the life of us figure out how our $3000 was spent. The wine was limited to an ounce every time, and whenever we asked for a second "glass" the lady pouring would say "well we want to make sure everyone gets some!" - the "snacks" were two tiny pieces of cheese inside of a ziplock baggie and there is no place to use any restroom throughout the course of the entire tour... mainly because the tour takes place only in a van and standing in driveways. For $3000, a nice suggestion would've been a charcuterie spread INSIDE of one of the locations with some tastings and every person at that price should at the very least have been able to go home with a bottle of wine from the tour. I give her credit for starting up a creative business in an extremely competitive tourist city, but I can't in good faith allow anyone else to pay so much money to go into this expecting a luxury experience, and end up getting yelled at by a bus driver and having to sneak around an old hospital just to pee. I really liked her as a person and hope she can take this advice and use it to work on creating a better experience for all.

I noticed that they had a sign next to the menu stating that they had the best Mac and cheese Ever. That pique my curiosity instantly. I even asked the guy behind the counter of this discovery and he explained that they use a certain cheese to make their offerings. My overall experience here at Beecher's handmade cheese at SLC airport lasted about 20 minutes. Once the dude explained how the cheese was the best thing ever, I decided to try it out as my breakfast of the day. I also decided to try out the mac and cheese to satisfy my curiosity. World's best is certainly a big claim, but as it turns out, it could have been better. I ended up taking the meal onto the plane and had it on my flight to CLT. I had the mac and cheese first and thought that the cheese wasn't melted all the way thru. Or was it supposed to be not melted? Not sure about that, but I guess my expectation was melted American cheese and not some obscure brand. It was a gritty type of cheese and while it was expertly prepared, it was not melted. It was mixed but not melted. I also ordered the kim cheese melt, which was very good and tasty. Kim chee and melted cheese was blissful. The overall experience here at the Bleecher's Handmade Cheese store in the SLC airport terminal was quite interesting. I ordered from the online kiosk, which was cool and communicated my order to the chef. After 10 minutes of waiting around for my order, I got it in a to go container and headed back to my departure gate. While expectations for the mac & cheese could have been better, I thought that the kim chee melt was above average. It was definitely delicious for sure. Here at SLC airport, you can find good wholesome food at airport prices. It wasn't too terrible of prices, but it was a good meal. I wished that the mac and cheese wasn't so grainy, but it was prepared okay. Just wished it was actually heated and melted versus mixed in via a blender. With that in mind, if you want something alternative to standard burger and fries at the airport, consider Beecher's Homemade Cheese at your next layover at SLC airport. You might find your hidden gem here. While the mac and cheese was decidedly okay, I found that the kim chee melt was perfection. Beecher's Homemade Cheese store is located in the Salt Lake City airport - Terminal A. I had to walk from A38 all the way to A1. Not a bad walk though. Then all the way back to A38 where my gate was. Like many businesses out there, they accept major credit cards. They will tell you to order from the online kiosk where you can process the credit card charges. The only ways you can find this restaurant is if you have some business in the SLC airport, whether you are traveling through SLC airport or work with the airlines or the airport itself. Otherwise, you don't have to be here. Still, there's parking outside the airport for anyone and everyone to park here before entering or exiting the terminal. While it was a good meal, too bad my expectations for the cheese could have been better. If you are ever in the area, consider coming over to Terminal A for your slice of heaven. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Not the best cheese, but it was worth trying out. Support local! B+

I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
