A must stop if you made it Midway. Cheese is very good. Great ice cream too. The garlic cheese spread is well worth it, oh soo good. Very nice family runs the farm.

Great little cheese shop and if your lucky enough to get there when it's not busy get in and do your picking of your favorites because it's small inside and inevitably as soon as you pull up three more cars pull in after you. They have great sandwiches, ice cream and a refrigerator full of various different cheeses as well as other condiments and things in the middle of the store. There is seating outside and they are right next to the farm so the cows are on the other side of the fence. Great experience come check them out and buy some local cheese, grab some ice cream or a sandwich or both!

Cow bags they sell, so cute!

We had some time before our train, so we drove around Midway and came across this amazing shop! Outside you can view the cows and they also have a fruit area. Inside is an ice cream shop with other amazing treats. They also have cheese samples for you to try. We purchased balsamic vinegar, rubarb jam, chocolate fudge, granola, and caramels to bring home. Everything is delicious! There's table seating outside and a few fun things for the kids. The line for the ice cream was long and there were four young people working, but only one was scooping. I felt sorry for her. Three of them were just talking behind the register and drinking soda. We both ordered the cosmic blast (huckleberry with chocolate chunks) in a waffle cone. I highly recommend! On our next visit, I'd love to take a cheese making class.

Around Halloween every single year, they have a bunch of activities for kids.

I grew up coming to this farm as a young child. They didn't open the restaurant till I don't know how many years ago. I get most of my cheese from this place. It's amazing. I drive from Draper, Utah all the time to eat it. They have really good grilled cheese sandwiches and amazing ice cream. My three children anytime I am in the area demand that we stop by there and get ice cream. You really can't go wrong with any of the cheeses that they have. They have an assortment of 10 to 20 different cheeses at any given time. Something that is really nice about this cheese is that it doesn't go bad fast. It's a very very, very long time. Highly recommended five out of five stars. Special note; they always have activities around the holidays for kids. They also have tours of the facility and cheese making classes quite frequently. I've done the Tours a few times as my kids are obsessed with it. I did the cheesemaking class one time with my wife and it was a lot of fun.

Bring your little ones, and some quarters, the merry go round will keep them occupied while you browse for homemade cheese, caramels, jams, salsa, pickles and more. Local honey and other delectable items. Gifts for all ages are readily available. Plenty of parking too. In a country store atmosphere it's family friendly. Service is down home friendly and staffed by locals who are knowledgeable in local lore. The drive through Midway is picturesque. You'll want to spend much more time in the area. Make the trip! Buy some of Leslie's Handmade Caramels you'll be glad you did.

I HAVE to rave about the huckleberry icecream!!!!!! I'm from Arizona and we don't have ice cream like this. It was soooooooo good!!!!!

I had an amazing time here at Heber Valley Artisan Cheese!! I'm visiting in from California and wanted to do something fun and this definitely was just that. Their dairy farm tour was super interesting! You get to ride a tractor, interact with the calves, see the main barn and ladies, and learn lots about dairy farming processes. My tour guide was Mckay and he is so admirably passionate about his job as a dairy farmer and the cows; it was beyond easy to listen to him talk and answer questions. Something to note is that it's a dairy farm tour, not a petting zoo or anything like that. It's going to be farm-like. There is dirt and mud and it obviously won't smell of peaches and roses. Regardless, I urge anyone who gets the opportunity to go, to go and learn about dairy farming and the trade. As for the store; it was wonderful! The store is well-kept and the workers are sociable and helpful. At the store they sell loads of house-made, award-winning cheese, gallons of milk from their farm, and a variety of local goods. I'd also say everything they sell and the tours/experiences are super affordable! I left the store with a couple wedges of cheese, local raw honey, and a scoop of Aggie's ice cream! Thank you so much Heber Valley Artisan Cheese, Kohler Family, and Mckay!!! EDIT: I ended up going back and picking up more cheese to bring back home to give to my family and friends in California!!! My current favorite cheese they have is Snake Creek Fresh and the Mustard Herb!! I completely recommend trying their fresh house-made dairy products!

What a cute place. Stopped by while driving in the area. Cute store. Fresh cheeses and ice cream were very tasty. The grilled cheese on sourdough was perfect. Bread was buttery and had a nice crunch. The young man working was extremely nice. Stop by if you're in the area. You won't regret it.

On a hot day when riding the motorcycles over Guardsman's Pass, this is our must-stop place. The ice-cream is perfectly sweet and creamy... really delivers on that craving! They can get pretty busy with long lines at the checkout and ice-cream counter, so do plan on spending more than a few minutes there, but they do have a decent amount of seating outside. On a pleasant day, this is a great place to relax for a bit! They also have cheeses, snacks, nicknacks, and various other items as well.

If you make it to The Pearly Gates of Heaven, I'm pretty sure it will smell like the inside of Heber Valley Artisan Cheese. This gift shop/lunch counter/ ice cream shop/ cheese shop is a pure delight! Take your time and look around at the dozens of cheeses... you will find something that makes your mouth water!!! They have some samples out to try as well ( love that). They prepare custom party platters as well. They have a soup and sandwich counter where you can get ... what else? A grilled cheese and soup dejour. The young gentleman working the counter was the friendliest, most polite and engaging person we met on our trip to Utah. He told us of several area attractions. We left with a bag of artisan cheese, and even though it was cold and snowy, we had to try an ice cream cone!!! Note.... Seating is outdoors only.

Grilled cheese. Old school style. Legit

Alright, on your first visit here you are going to get lost unless you heed my warning and follow…read morethese instructions: When you exit off 89 at the light, turn right toward Best Western. Just south are some strips of businesses. Search for the karate studio and art academy, then take a left to go behind them and there's Beehive! I swear, they are trying to hide from someone, and even having visited two years ago, I still couldn't find 'em when I stopped by a few weeks back! Inside, it's an itsy lil' store offering wedges of their cheese by the pound and cheese curds. They also have a few varieties of excellent cheeses not made in house and local Creminelli salami, plus Chocolot candies. They carry a decent selection of Savannah Bee Company bath and body products, and a bit of their own branded merchandise. A variety of local stores sell Beehive Cheese, but it's still fun to stop here as you have access to all their goodies, most importantly, a variety of dreamy cheese curds. I just tried Fully Loaded for the first time: a delightful cheese fortified with High West's Double Rye Whiskey, and wow! That is a new favorite (and I truly adore all their cheeses). It's a little bit sweet, with such an intriguing flavor, and everyone I shared it with remarked that it was especially delicious. Chocolot (based in Ogden!) makes some excellent and beautiful artisan truffles. At Beehive, they also had some of their toffee, peppermint bark, and chocolate covered cinnamon bears. I really adore this brand, and it can be difficult to track down, so make sure to snatch up a box (chocolates are $2 a piece, available either as a set of three of six). The truffles vary in each package, and are not marked, but you can find a flavor key on their website: https://chocolot.com/pages/flavors. 4 stars for the shop, which could use a little excitement as it's a tad utilitarian, but 5 strong stars for their most exceptional cheese! They are a little out of the way, but I always forget how close they are to Ogden. Make the time to stop here if anywhere close by.

We passed this stall, and I spot "Mac & Cheese" in their signage. The other place was typical airport pricing. Beecher's had 16 oz for ~$12. That seemed like a good deal, and other reviews sounded good enough it was worth the chance. I did a quick takeout order via their kiosk, and someone greeted me still. It's nice to have that bit of human interaction, even when you go with the quick/tech option. The Mac and Cheese hit the spot and filled both me and my boyfriend to tie us over through our flight. Staff were friendly and fast getting us food. There's plenty of open seating nearby to choose from.

I had a 2 hour layover on a recent trip to SLC airport and stumbled upon Beecher's handmade cheese…read more It was located on a quieter side of the terminal. I noticed that they had a sign next to the menu stating that they had the best Mac and cheese Ever. That pique my curiosity instantly. I even asked the guy behind the counter of this discovery and he explained that they use a certain cheese to make their offerings. My overall experience here at Beecher's handmade cheese at SLC airport lasted about 20 minutes. Once the dude explained how the cheese was the best thing ever, I decided to try it out as my breakfast of the day. I also decided to try out the mac and cheese to satisfy my curiosity. World's best is certainly a big claim, but as it turns out, it could have been better. I ended up taking the meal onto the plane and had it on my flight to CLT. I had the mac and cheese first and thought that the cheese wasn't melted all the way thru. Or was it supposed to be not melted? Not sure about that, but I guess my expectation was melted American cheese and not some obscure brand. It was a gritty type of cheese and while it was expertly prepared, it was not melted. It was mixed but not melted. I also ordered the kim cheese melt, which was very good and tasty. Kim chee and melted cheese was blissful. The overall experience here at the Bleecher's Handmade Cheese store in the SLC airport terminal was quite interesting. I ordered from the online kiosk, which was cool and communicated my order to the chef. After 10 minutes of waiting around for my order, I got it in a to go container and headed back to my departure gate. While expectations for the mac & cheese could have been better, I thought that the kim chee melt was above average. It was definitely delicious for sure. Here at SLC airport, you can find good wholesome food at airport prices. It wasn't too terrible of prices, but it was a good meal. I wished that the mac and cheese wasn't so grainy, but it was prepared okay. Just wished it was actually heated and melted versus mixed in via a blender. With that in mind, if you want something alternative to standard burger and fries at the airport, consider Beecher's Homemade Cheese at your next layover at SLC airport. You might find your hidden gem here. While the mac and cheese was decidedly okay, I found that the kim chee melt was perfection. Beecher's Homemade Cheese store is located in the Salt Lake City airport - Terminal A. I had to walk from A38 all the way to A1. Not a bad walk though. Then all the way back to A38 where my gate was. Like many businesses out there, they accept major credit cards. They will tell you to order from the online kiosk where you can process the credit card charges. The only ways you can find this restaurant is if you have some business in the SLC airport, whether you are traveling through SLC airport or work with the airlines or the airport itself. Otherwise, you don't have to be here. Still, there's parking outside the airport for anyone and everyone to park here before entering or exiting the terminal. While it was a good meal, too bad my expectations for the cheese could have been better. If you are ever in the area, consider coming over to Terminal A for your slice of heaven. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. Not the best cheese, but it was worth trying out. Support local! B+
