Overall great space for families. Every piece of food was well seasoned. The prices are slightly above average for this type of cuisine. The playground was fun for our kids and the staff were great! read more

Go to Baby's they said. It's fantastic they said. I have to say I was very disappointed. Very rarely do I write negatively as I would love to point out the great places rather than put bad experience out. However, I felt compelled to share based on the positive things I have seen about this place vs. my experience. We had a party of 7 and it was consistent with all of us. Hamburger was extremely dry (overcooked and burnt), Mac and cheese was basic, milkshake was comparable to Hardee's and white BBQ was somewhat tasteless. For the price I believe we could have gotten the same quality at Steak n' Shake about 4x over (not a promotion of steak n' shake lol). Overall I would not recommend as a foodie place but a cool place to hang out. 2.5 out 5 in MHO. read more

New Favorite Burger Place! I love a good smash burger and Baby's does it well and looks good doing it. The music is awesome and upbeat. The vibe is casual and comfortable. Outdoor seating is covered and fans make it feel great. The menu is burgers, chicken, sandwiches, sides, shakes, and a decent bar. Our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Baby's Strut burger and tots with a chocolate shake. Everything was amazing! The burger bun was fresh and had great flavor. The burger was spot on with flavorful edges. The chutney, sauce and Gouda worked together really well. Tots were hot, salted, and had a great texture (they were huge). Finally the shake was the perfect chocolate flavor and was the perfect size. Looking forward to trying the broasted chicken sandwich with hot honey sauce. Mmm read more

Update 11/17/19: I gave it another shot just for the boozy milkshakes. Took a group of seven here and my milkshake was wrong twice. Ordered Carmel Apple (seasonal option) with alcohol. I received a non-dairy option the girl next to me ordered. We weren't checked on until about half way through and when I asked about it they apologized and brought me the Carmel Apple one. Great! Only it didn't have the alcohol I ordered in it lol. Then when the server was cashing me out he said "don't worry, I didn't charge you for the second one!". If anything I expected the original one to be comped since I never got what I ordered. Still hoping this place can get it tougher. Removing a star for the time being. So excited for this place to come to the neighborhood and offer something new and refreshing! I would absolutely return for drinks, but food leaves you wanting more. The staff is great, friendly, and generally knowledgeable of the menu items. The decor is amazing and kitschy and so fun. Each of the bathrooms has a different wallpaper that makes for a great selfie backdrop. I went opening weekend and ordered a salad with chicken and figured, "what the hell", I'll try the Talbott Street Fries too since it's a signature item. Both items looked great, but seemed to lack depth of flavor. The cheese sauce and white bbq on the fries were indistinguishable from each other and the pickled jalapeño seemed to be the only thing giving them flavor. The salad was a good size and pretty tasty. The chicken was seasoned well and I enjoyed the cornbread croutons. My friend ordered a smash burger and she reported that it was about a level above steak and shake burgers flavor wise, but a few levels above price point wise. With it being a smash burger and shoestring fries this is where our mind went! They have a great cocktail menu and my friend loved her spiked milkshake. I was really craving a classic margarita and noticed they had all the components. When I asked for one I was told they were unable to do this, which was kind of shocking. You just have to remove the orange juice from the Flazeda, but this was asking too much. This is a great spot for drinks and I did enjoy the Making Herstory on my second time there, but I feel like they can improve on the food. Hopefully will be back soon to try the fried chicken and give it another shot! The neighborhood could use another great read more

Got a few burgers and sides to go the other night. Food was ready quickly and employees were very friendly. Burgers were cooked and done well and the topping were very fresh. Small sides were bigger than expected. Onion rings were crunchy and flavorful, Mac and cheese was absolutely delicious (southerner approved). Fries were fine, but would have probably been better if we hadn't gotten take out and ate them fresh from the fryer. read more

Very tasty burgers and who doesn't love a milkshake! Add booze and it's even better! The fries are very tasty and the onion rings are good too. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the price! It is definitely expensive but if your splurging, it's worth it! read more

What a baller place! Baby's is the new ultimate hang out. With a nice seating area and patio outside when the weather is warm, and a cool hip interior for the winter months. We stopped in here Saturday night. It was definitely busier than I thought it would be. Greeted and sat very quickly. The burgers were really good. I liked the draft cocktails. Good selection of drinks. Great service. The sides are the same as any other place. I would definitely eat here again. The pricing is the same for all the other places in the area so expect to pay $50 for 2 burgers, 2 sides, and a drink. read more

Great atmosphere but terrible service/food. I'm not usually the type of people to complain but today was rough. Waited 45 mins for shakes.. waited AN HOUR AND A HALF for food... watched every other table that arrived after us get their food... checked on our food multiple times "it's next"... finally get the food and every single thing is cold.... At that point we couldn't ask for anything heated up or remade because "the kitchen is already closing".... This was their second chance from us and sadly the last for a long time. Our food probably would have tasted good had it been at least warm.. I know that lots of places are understaffed, I get it but damn man. :( read more

I'd been hopeful to attend their drag brunch, but I haven't had a chance yet. I went for dinner and found the food tasty and there were ample options. The patio is great and worth a bit of a wait, and the service was swift. Their loaded fries are great but they put too much of the sauce for my liking; just ask for it on the side if you would rather control the drench-factor. :) read more

This will be my go too for milkshakes for sure Lots of options and The vegan key lime pie today was heavenly. Burgers are smashed and you can pick your topping and Chicken is either fried or grilled if you watching that waist line Salad are big and bold grab the Talbots fries it's a perfect side . Also the atmosphere is fun and wholesome . Everyone is welcome and everyone was there the patio is covered which is a perfect in the sun read more

Yay! Baby's added veggie burgers, smash burgers at that! Super excited about this new addition. Baby's is the perfect spot and great addition to the neighborhood, it is kid friendly, dog friendly, has outdoor seating, unique cocktails, milkshakes, smash burgers, shoestring fries, great servers, their own parking lot and music playing. My sisters rave about this place so tonight we got takeout! They ordered the salads with fried and grilled chicken and loved it large portions! They also love the fries they sweat by them! I got a single smash burger with cheese and caramelized onion. I'm be honest the burger had no flavor whatsoever all I could taste of the caramelized onion it was as if there were no beef patty at all taste wise. We also got some homemade chocolate chip cookies and they weren't anything special same thing I can make with a pre made mix to be honest. Wishing for better in the future if I decide to give them another try. Honestly rather have a 5 Guys burger and taste the meat and enjoy the burger. read more

Great food, but I am disappointed that they transitioned from table service to counter service. I enjoyed interacting with the staff, but that is more limited now. Try their milkshakes, new flavors each month! read more

Disappointing. Food was pretty mediocre. I ordered a burger and the bun was just pulled out of a bag. Not toasted or warmed. Burger was super greasy. Rest of the table had similar experience. Tater tots were recommended and again, nothing special. Beers just served in a can. Chilled glass would be nice. Also was kinda pricey for what we got. On the plus side, very nice patio seating and good live entertainment. Cool atmosphere. Got seated right away. And food service was prompt. Not really enough to warrant a return visit I'm afraid. read more

Food was great! So much space in the restaurant. We were able to wait outside on some turf (great waiting space and great for kids). We waited about 30 minutes- not too bad for opening night, plus it being a Friday night. Unfortunately, we had to wait over an hour for our food. However, the food was good and I want to give Baby's a little grace for it being opening night!! Our server, Austin, was well-humored, organized, efficient and attentive. The food was good. For my husband, toddler and I, we payed about $50 which isn't too shabby for three people at a cute new restaurant. I liked that there were unique options for burger toppings and most of them were free (re:caramelized onions). I'll be going back!! read more

Went today for lunch. Granted, it was very busy when I ordered takeout, so I hung out at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful when recommending items from the menu. Menu has burgers, both beef and veggie patties. There are also salads and chicken. There were a few different sides (fries, mac n cheese, veggies) It took a little longer than I expected for the burger and side of veggies to come out from the kitchen, but it was really delicious once it arrived. The burger was cooked to perfection, and it was flavorful. Veggies were not over cooked and seasoned well. The interior decor was clean, bright, and fun, and it seemed like a good place to return to with friends for a boozy milkshake. Outside has a really lovely patio, so it's definitely worth another visit! Also, they have a kids menu, which is really great since the surrounding neighborhood has lots of families :) read more

The food is very mediocre, fries are basic... overpriced shakes with limited choices. I paid $30 to counter-order 1 kids' meal a chicken sandwich and a milkshake. Baby's did not disappoint! Had a late dinner on a Saturday with friends. The waitress explained the burger and the patty sizes. We each opted for 2 patties. My husband and I split the Tart Caramel Apple milkshake (no alcohol) and it was delicious! Next time we'll each get our own! Can't wait to go back! read more

So first of all, not sure if Babys has changed ownership but we had a very different experience from what we are used to. It has probably been around 3 months since we've been and a lot seemed to have changed. Firstly, you are no longer greeted at either door which is fine but you aren't really sure unless you read the small sign that was there. Maybe a suggestion is just a big sign saying open seating? So we found a table that was dirty cause it hadn't been cleaned. And that comes on to the lack of staff or very different group of staff (and much less!) to our previous visits. We loved coming and being welcomed by a super diverse group of people and get their recommendations on drinks and food. Now it is a case of having to grab your own menu and go up to the bar and order. It just feels different. We ordered a small onion rings and to burgers. We sat there for approx 45 mins to an hour waiting to our food, again very different to our food that usual comes out in like 15 mins. Us and many tables around us were just looking around as food came out of the kitchen. Our food finally came and had seemingly been sitting for a while cause the once melted cheese was getting hard. Food was okay, again all our previous visits we looked at each other and are like omg best burger ever. We arrived at around 6:25 and had a show starting at 8, so will all the waiting could not enjoy any of it. This isnt bashing Babys because for the past 6 years we've lived here it has been our go to burger place, because of the great food and WONDERFUL staff not to mention to countless Drag Brunches my wife has been too. Id love to know if this was a one off or some changes were happening but just didn't feel the same. read more

My first trip to Baby's won't be my last. I had the strut burger. Lots going on there. The chutney, smoked Gouda and slightly sweet but spicy sauce wakes up your taste buds. The fries are good but eat them fast. The Mac & Cheese is creamy deliciousness and cornbread is great but my hands down favorite was the sriracha broccoli slaw. Save some room for a shake. The space is perfect for all ages and the staff is super friendly. Go often! read more

I am unsure of who made the executive decision to say it was child/kid friendly, it is not. It is however, dog friendly. All the play/climb toys are for dogs, not children. Nothing about this place says children, over half the inside is a bar, that IS NOT child friendly. The staff was horrible. Not one person asked how we were our of we were having a good night or anything. My 2 year old granddaughter and I were together. The last said, how many? Literally, that was it. I said two and she went outside. It is almost 90 at 8pm with a two year old but yeah let's sit in the heat. She can't back to all of we needed anything and I asked for a to go box and the bill. She can't back no bill and said, I can take your payment right now. #1 you see me still eating and helping my granddaughter. #2 I asked for a bill, do you think I'm just going to blindly hand you my card? #3 No question as to if I need anything, dessert, let me know when you're ready. #4 I had to say, I asked for my bill. I want my physical bill before I pay you anything. Then she just stood there. Take this money so I can get the hell away from your establishment. The food was horrible, burnt hamburgers, and watered down coke. Never again. read more

First off, I was really impressed by the COVID procedures at Baby's. They take the temperature of all guests. Also they have ample seating outdoors with QR code menus. Smash burgers are the new favorite thing and Baby's is definitely the place to get them. I got their house burger called " strut burger." I wasn't a fan of the mango chutney (little too sweet for me/ overall had a good flavor ) but the burger was still 10/10. The gouda with the bacon was the perfect combo. The decor is really cute and the patio space is a really enjoyable. Our server Erin was super friendly and guided us through the menu . Brought the whole family here and had a wonderful time! Inviting and colorful, enjoyable for all ages. The power had just gone out, and they were working so hard to get things back online and warmed up. Friendly, accommodating, wonderful staff who explained our lunch wait would increase due to the outage. We were invested- had to try out their creations! Our monthly retiree group went for lunch at Baby's. This was our first visit but not our last. The food and service were great. We had 10 people and the service was great. I had the tenderloin sandwich and an order of fried mushrooms which I can highly recommend. Definitely listen to the waitress when she says you can share the mushrooms. The atmosphere and decor was great too. There was plenty of parking with a parking lot on Talbott side. This is definitely on our return list. read more

If you're looking for delicious burgers & fried chicken, this is the place!!! My boyfriend and I dined out on the patio, which was very spacious and super cute. We got the Talbot Street fries - loaded fries with cheese sauce, jalapeños, and bacon. He had the Baby's Strut Burger - pickles, mango chutney, and dazzle sauce. I made my own smash burger - lettuce, tomato, pickles, bacon, mayo, and Bam! sauce. I also got their special of the month milkshake - peaches & cream. read more

Baby's is becoming our go-to spot when a burger or milkshake craving hits. Their burgers are delicious and I'm not sure I could pick a favorite between the Strut burger and the Bam burger. They have a bunch of great sides also; the onion rings and mac & cheese are my favorites! Due to COVID, they recently enclosed and heated their patio for more spaced out seating. They also make takeout a breeze with online ordering and a pick-up counter. I can't wait until summer because their patio and outdoor space are fabulous. My husband and I went in for a last minute dinner. It was pretty quiet and there was plenty of open seating. We sat out in their covered, heated patio. It was very nice. I had their Strut burger with a side Caesar salad and my husband had their broasted chicken sandwich. My burger was absolutely amazing ! I had a bite of my husband's chicken sandwich and it was delicious, also. The reason I am giving a 3 star review is because as we loved the fact dogs are allowed to come into the restaurant, we witnessed our server/bartender pet the dog that was in the building, and watched as she did not wash or even sanitize her hands afterwards. She visited other tables and went back behind the bar and not once did she clean her hands. Luckily, she did not bring our food out to us, but I'm not sure sure whose food she may have touched. We were pretty disappointed about that, considering they have sanitizer set up in multiple places. We hope this is not a reoccurrence that happens. We would love to go back once the weather is warm again, but we hope this doesn't happen again. All in all, I think it's worth a try! read more

Baby's might be the new spot for me. The atmosphere is awesome. They indoor and outdoor decor is very well done. They have an outdoor dining area for when the weather is warm along with its big indoor seating area. For the winter, they have a tented outdoor area with lots of heat lamps. The staff was great and our waiter was very attentive to us. I ordered a single burger with caramelized onions, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and their Sunday sauce which apparently is their take on chikfila sauce (love the name). The burger was great and they gave me a bunch of fries to go with it! I also ordered a Mule for a drink and it was also very good. Overall, it was a great meal. Baby's burgers gets a three from me. Atmosphere: My experience here piqued with the atmosphere of the restaurant. It has a cool 50s retro diner feel. Food: As far as food, their burger patty was relatively thin and was comparable to a Steak 'n Shake burger. The sauce was tasty, but was overall lack luster for the price point. I did not order fries, but a friend did so I tried some. They were under salted and didn't seem fresh. They were also thin fries, which I have a personal distaste for. Overall, not terrible but it wouldn't be my first choice for a good burger in Indy. read more
