What a fun menu!! The cocktails and names were amazing. The loaded fries are enough to share for 2. The queso on the fries was better than any queso Ive had. I wish I had a bowl of chips for this queso! I tried the Bam burger which was good but I think I will do a build your own next time. I wanted more to my burger! A milkshake will also be on my tab for next time. Next visit, ill update my review because Im sure it will deserve all 5 stars. Left it at 4 since I ordered a smaller burger read more

Baby's quite possibly might have the best burger in Indy. Try the white barbecue sauce.... You won't regret it. Also you have to get a milkshake. Your meal isn't complete without it. In addition to their delicious food, their restaurant is adorable. And I love that they have ample parking in the lot next door and on the street. No excuses to not try Baby's :) read more

Well this was a delightful last minute lunch decision. I have to admit, it was the charming facade, neon signs and location that drew me in. I was so excited to see another addition to the 22nd St. corridor. I most often find myself biking to the area for meetings at Teas Me Cafe. For starters, the vibe of Baby's is retro, quirky and one-of-a-kind in the downtown area. From the pink neon signs to the fun wallpaper in the bathrooms, you can't help but smile from the overall look of this eatery. Second, they have boozy milkshakes. Not just any ole' milkshakes though... you guys, I am going to be blabbering about their vegan key lime milkshake for weeks. I honestly left and thought to myself, hmm..would I be overdoing it if I went back tonight and ordered another? A few more reasons I'll be back in a hurry: the patio is dog-friendly and the fried chicken is mighty delicious. Our server was very friendly and sweet and the lunch turnaround time was impressive - especially for a new business. Need I say more? read more

I heard such great things and so wanted to love this place, yet I left somewhat disappointed. Let me say that the interior is fabulous, a wonderful decorating job. Kudos to the design team. Same goes for the outdoor seating... great space. Waitstaff was great. Friendly and attentive. Spot on there. Cocktails on draft? Yes please. Makes for a really speedy delivery on your drink. I tried the 'Bye Felicia'. It was good and as mentioned very speedy. A bit tart for my taste, so if I do come back I'll try another drink instead. My problem: the food. It looks awesome, unfortunately looks can be deceiving. I had the single with the garden and mayo... hmm... I generally like smash burgers, but this was more like ... I don't know... words fail me. It looked so delicious, but it was void of any taste. This is why I ordered a rather plain burger, to see if it's done right. Once you smother a burger with all kinds of things you can't taste the actual burger anymore. Maybe that is why their house burger comes with a ton of toppings? The burger was dry, the bun was dry, both were tasteless, but looked great. Same with the fries. I had them loaded Talbot Style. Sounded great, looked delicious... other than the pickled jalapenos, which are tasty by the way, they left something to be desired. The portion is small, the fries not crisp, what cheese and sauce comes with it seems to be just a small spoonful in the middle. The bacon is nice and sufficient for the amount of fries you get. Will I be back? Maybe to try the chicken and a different cocktail, but I am really in no hurry to return. read more

Big fan of this new burger and shake joint on Talbott Street! The hubs and I ordered the large salad to split, a grilled chicken sandwich, veggie patty, fries, and all the sauces our hearts wanted - cheese, honey mustard, dazzle, white bbq, bbq, and ketchup - ALL made in house and all so fantastic in their own way. The salad and sandwiches were so, so good. The fries were phenomenal - skinny and perfectly crisp for the dipping! We ordered cherry cokes and fully embraced the super cute decor which made us feel like we were in a retro diner and I should be wearing a poodle skirt and he a letterman's jacket. We ate on the patio which they said will be opened three seasons. They're getting heaters and clear siding for the cooler fall days. We'll be back for sure! read more

The food is horrible. It's giving frozen to fried to customer. Nothing is homemade tasting. Basic basic food. Gross. The esthetic is really cute it's just the food is dumpster juice. I spent $110 for one adult & 3 kids. We got milkshakes & chicken tenders and fries. TRASH. I got the vegan chicken nuggets , they weren't homemade , the ceaser salad dressing nasty. Ranch dressing tasted like they put cucumbers in it, trash. The sauce to dip the onion rings tasted weird. They need to stop experimenting with the sauces. read more

Stopped in to Baby's on a Friday night and it was packed! The check-in line was out the door. We waited about 15 minutes to put our name in, and another 20 or so to be seated. It had only been open 2 weeks, so I was expecting slower service. It also appeared like they were training multiple staff members, which is totally understandable so I am not knocking them for that. However, this burger joint missed the mark for me. The inside is very brightly decorated. According to the website it used to be a drag club, and it very much still has a vibrant, colorful atmosphere. The menu is pretty basic (see photos) with build your own burgers, chicken or veggie patties. They also have a house selected "Strut burger" which has two patties, gouda cheese, pickles, bacon, mango chutney, and dazzle sauce, which is their take on a thousand island-type sauce. The price for the burgers is relatively reasonable, however, the sides are a-la-cart and an additional $4. I ordered the Strut burger with fries and my friend got a build your own burger with a chocolate milkshake. The food was pretty good, but just typical greasy bar food. The ketchup, which I presume was house made, had a sweetness to it and was almost the consistency of a jam. I was not a fan. Another thing I found odd was that they do not offer a vanilla milkshake. The only flavors are chocolate, strawberry and a "curious" flavor which this month happened to be fruity pebbles. Lastly, the food took quite a while to come out ~45 minutes, which for a burger joint seems a bit too long. I understand it is brand new, so I'm hoping some of the kinks get worked out as time goes on. I would suggest coming in for lunch sometime during the week to avoid larger crowds and longer waits. read more

I'm surprised I haven't done a review on Baby's yet! This is one of my favorite laid-back spots in Indy! It's nestled in Fall Creek Place on Talbott and 25th. It's the perfect neighborhood restaurant. Not only is Baby's super trendy and welcoming, but their food and drinks are so good! I feel like a lot of restaurants don't realize how impactful good fries can be, and Baby's fries never disappoint. This was my first time getting a drink other than a milkshake, but I would definitely recommend their drinks! Everything was great and they definitely weren't skimping on the alcohol This is a neighborhood staple and I always love taking a trip to Baby's! You can't go wrong here. read more

AMAZING NEW LOCAL SPOT! You must check this place out! I got double burger with mango chutney, onions, smoked Gouda and a side of fries. It was DELISH!! They looked amazing and had some fantastic flavors. Baby's will definitely be a regular spot in our rotation for lunch and dinner! read more

My sister and I went here for their monthly drag brunch and had an absolute blast. Tickets were on eventbrite and I was told to buy them quick because they sell out. The environment was super fun and the serving staff was prompt and super nice. The restaurant has a flirty aesthetic and is super cute. They do a set menu for brunch, so we got loaded fries for an app, chicken and waffles for the main course, then they had a Gallery Pastry Bar macaroon for dessert. Overall, the food was just okay. Traditional diner food with a twist. The loaded fries weren't very "loaded". Not a lot of toppings for the number fries. The chicken and waffles were good though! The waffles even had that sugary crunch coating that traditional Belgian waffles have. They had several different cocktail options and even had some on draft. The drinks were great and very pretty. It kinda feels like their drink quality and food quality don't necessarily match up. Our brunch was $40 per person and we only had one drink. I am planning to go back for a boozy milkshake and to try some of their other food, but overall higher cost for not great quality. read more

We came in today and were seated right away, and served cokes, but then it's like we became invisible. We waited over 25 minutes from this point before I flagged a different server down and said I would like to order food. It then took over 40 minutes for the food to arrive, 2 burgers and 2 mac and cheese. They apologized about the wait time but it was just too much wasted time. Burger was just ok. The server was friendly. Won't be coming back. read more

Amazing place, great food and my kid had fun on the little platforms they have! Great idea for a family fun restaurant

We were seated as soon as we walked in. Our service was okay we had to ask for things quite a few times. The food is only okay but it came out very fast!!. The outside patio is nice they had great music playing. The location is perfect. The person accompanying me ordered a boozy milkshake but didn't said it was too sweet. My rosè was perfect. The overall alcohol selection is good. The fries and cheese sauce are good! The ketchup seems to be actual tomatoes? not really a fan. This place is new so i'm sure they're still working out kinks. I hope it's still rocking in 9mos and would like to come back then to try it and see what changes they make! I would come back before then if friends wanted to grab a bite or drink. I spent $22 for my meal. read more

Nice little place with lots of burgers and drink choices. Several different beers and shots to wash down that mediocre burger. I'm not real sure what all the hype is but obviously someone does. My burgers was completely over cooked and dry as it could be. The menu gives a list of all these toppings and it does say that some are at a cost but doesn't say which ones. So basically if you add cheese, bacon, jalapeños and sauce you get charged for each. Maybe that is the new thing. If so I will stick with the old. My $11 burger was bumped up to $13.50. Damn. $13.50 for the smash burger I was served is outrageous. My fries were pretty good but not enuff to offset my burger. Other than that my service was great and the place super cool. read more

I want this place to survive for the neighborhood but they do need to decide who they are... they closed for a few weeks to remodel (a while back). The big difference to us was the changed model to counter service. Ok this is fine but not at this price point and food quality. The chicken tenders were reminiscent of Tyson frozen options at Kroger. If they want to go lean on the service, quality and being family friendly... maybe adjust across the board? We have tried to make it work twice and we just can't justify the expense considering it all. A better burger, fries, service and price point can be found up the street at Five Guys. read more

I'm so perplexed. Baby's used to be one of my.favorite restaurants in Indy but went recently and had a terrible experience. Did yall change the food or suppliers? If you love a crispy edged burger, with a buttery bun and a variety of toppings (go for the sautéed onions and red onion) and sauces (the YUM sauce is where it's at!) then go to Baby's. The service was okay. The food wasn't that great and there weren't many options on the menu. I probably won't come back.

Such a fun pink environment with the tastiest of burgers. Will definitely come back her again. Such a picturesque venue filled with burgers that pack a punch and AMAZING Talbott street fries that were not pictured. As soon as your arrive, staff takes your temperature and then you are free to choose where you would like to sit. Their cocktail menu is extensive! I wish there were a few more milkshake options, but they keep you on your toes with rotating milkshakes and apps weekly. I got the double baby strut and customized it with caramelized onions and bbq sauce which was delicious, but what really solidified it for me where the talbott fries -- so yummy, crisp, and not too heavy for cheesy bacon fries! I can't wait to go back and customize more burgers and enjoy this place some more. I came to Indiana for a very short trip to get tattooed by one of my favorite artists! I'm always super stoked to go anywhere and find good vegan food. Although, when I looked on yelp for vegan food in Indiana.... my pickings seemed very slim. I panicked. Would a Taurus queen like myself have to settle for salads? No. I would not allow this to happen. And neither would Baby's. Baby's is a burger joint that has meat and vegan options and they are super LGBTQ+ friendly. I felt right at home here and SAFE! I came here two days in a row and all the staff was super helpful and personable. I didn't get anyone's name except the bartender's--Spazz! They were so wonderful and nice. I really enjoyed dining here if nothing else, for the wonderful staff and cute atmosphere! It's very pink and fun, we love to see that. Now, onto the food. The burgers served here are super customizable. Both times I had a veggie burger with onion, pickle, tomato, lettuce, vegan cheese, and Dazzle Sauce (their vegan sauce!) and it was delicious both times! Their veggie burger is a sweet potato and bean based burger, it was super refreshing to me to not have to eat another Beyond or Impossible burger! I really enjoyed the patty and the bun was AMAZING! Their fries are also good, they are seasoned well however everything is served a la carte so you have to order them separately. The vegan fried mushrooms are delicious, not slimy, and their vegan ranch is killer too! OH, did I mention they have SPIKED vegan shakes??? Whew. I ordered the strawberry shake without booze my first visit and the Espresso shake (seasonal) with whipped cream vodka the second visit. Both were so insanely delicious. They have like 20 different shake flavors so there is definitely something for everyone here! What can I say. I'm pretty sad I am on the other side of the country and will have to wait a while to go back to Baby's. Overall, 5/5, it was a wonderful experience! read more

What a CUTE restaurant! This was my first time at Baby's and it did not disappoint. They offer gluten free buns for a $2.50 up charge (I did smash my bun before taking a picture - oops!) and it was a decent gluten free bun. Pretty standard for gfree. The White BBQ Sauce (which is a creamy horseradish sauce) was very good although I do wish they had more sauce. Updating my review since I hadn't been to Baby's in a while. This time around, my friend ordered carry-out online earlier in the day and was able to select the time that I would be there to pick it up for us. I got the chicken tenders and fries basket which comes with 4 huge tenders, a large order of skinny fries and ketchup and honey mustard for dipping. Baby's has a wide variety of sauce selection so I also got the sassy sauce to try. I added a strawberry milkshake because their shakes get rave reviews. The pick-up process was seamless. They were getting the shakes made right at 6:30 which I appreciated. They didn't make them way ahead and let them sit and melt. Thank you!! The food was delicious. The chicken tenders were moist and the breading had great seasoning and flavor. The sassy sauce had a tang and the honey mustard was good as well. The fries still had crunch and didn't get soggy in the takeout bag. The shake was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. I'm not in this area often but I'll make it a point to come back because the food is great! read more

Haven't been in a few months so my family decided to stop by for some amazing burgers. Sadly, the food has gone completely downhill. My toddlers burger patty was burnt completely black. My bun was also charred black around the edges as well. My hubby's fries were actually good. We couldn't taste the white bbq sauce but was told it was mixed into the cheese. Lastly I wanted their house margarita that I always get. Sadly this time it was soo much ice, the drink was finished in three sips. Even in 90 degree weather I had a cup full of ice left over after. We absolutely love the family atmosphere and amazing customer service of this place. Hoping they will turn it around soon. read more

I have tried to love Baby's every time I've visited because they seem like such an accepting place, but no amount of acceptance can really help their poor management/food quality. It used to be a sit down order with a server but they have changed that within the last year. You now order at the bar and grab a table. I do not mind this setup except they raised their prices SO MUCH in the last year. Yes, inflation... but your burgers are not nearly as thick as Kumas and they are charging nearly the same. With the new setup their overhead costs should have come down some as they do not need nearly people on staff so I feel like the price increase is a little out of hand. I wasn't going to update my review because I want local places to succeed and when Baby's first opened it was really great. But it's no longer the same place and I really feel like they are taking advantage of the community now. I have attended three different drag brunches here within the last 12 months. Every time the food is so low quality that no one actually enjoys their meal and the drinks like the coffee is cold and gross. They are charging $25 a person for a "three course" meal but they have made it so easy on themselves that the quality is horrible. They are serving coffee in paper cups so they can pour it ahead of time which causes it to cool down, their waffles are clearly frozen, the chicken they serve is a chicken patty over fried so you can knock it on the table without breaking it, the first course is an appetizer that you split with your table so if you have a large table y'all are barely getting anything, and their dessert is basically a Costco bulk brownie they are buying by the sheet. Their totally cost person person is way under $10 dollars so they are price gauging every time their host drag brunch. The drag performance is very up in the air based on the queens but the layout is terrible for a drag show. The area is split into two sections so you're not seeing the entire show no matter where you're sitting. This really doesn't bother me because while the Queen is on the other side performing I would visit with friends. Except the sound is always turned up as loud as possible and you can't hear any thing the person next you is saying. Pat Yo Weave hosts every time and she already has a loud a voice so like can we chill it on the volume... it isn't necessary. Maybe they don't want anyone discussing the meal because it's that awful. Overall the place is just going downhill. Poor management, greedy owners, and shortcuts will be the downfall of this place. CHEERS! read more

My wife wanted to try this place for Mother's Day 2021, so we headed South from Broad Ripple to the Near Northside in a cold drizzle with two teen daughters in tow. None the less, despite the cries of staying in their warm & comfy beds, the escapade was more than worth it! We were familiar with the neighborhood as the Shoefly across the street has been a favorite before & after spot for dinners and/or drinks for IPSCFI events at the IPSCFI20 & Arsenal Tech campuses. Unfortunately doesn't look like Shoefly survived the COVID-19 pandemic. But Baby's sure has. Set as an old-fashioned diner or soda shop, the Art-Deco decor and bright pastel colors give you energy and fun as soon as you pull up front. The expansive covered patio and outdoor play-area served as a nice laid back spot for a drizzly, damp Mother's Day afternoon. Food & service were great and I highly recommend the broasted chicken, the rolls and the Mac n Cheese. Coffee and shakes were great too! My three ladies all got burgers and onion rings and the quiet munching with no whining meant everyone was happy. Mom finished with her own Vanilla Shake and everyone left happy! A successful Mother's Day lunch / brunch with two teen daughters orchestrated! He shoots, he scores! We will be back! And I have to think the patio with lights on a summer night and good weather will even get better! read more

We decided to go to Baby's because of previous reviews, and they did not disappoint. We ended up going on their 2nd anniversary, so there were many specials going on. Their shakes were $2 off, along with some of their specialty burgers. The outside patio area and pergola was filled with people and the hostess was very welcoming. They have lots of parking next to the restaurant. I had never seen a theme like Baby's before, it was so unique to experience. Our waitress suggested all the fan favorites to us, so we had to try them. We got the chili cheese fries, the Bam! Burger, Baby's Strut Burger, and two milkshakes. For 2 people, the price was around $50, so it wasn't on the cheap end, but it was worth it for the experience. We were not disappointed by our visit and will be back soon. This place is a must try for everyone, from the service to the food, it was all amazing. For a small menu, they had lots of flavor!
