    Fly was inside my coffee
    Wanda A.

I've been to this bakery a few times, the first time I had a very pleasant lady who was super nice to me but the last threes times, including today I had the same lady serve me. She always seems to have an attitude when I'm there, never smiles or even bother to look at me when I'm ordering. I don't know if is because of the color of my skin but to me it seems like it bother's her to serve me. Today I told myself that I will never return because of that lady, as I was driving away I open my coffee to let it cool off because and I find a dead fly swimming in my coffee. A coincidence, I don't know either way it's gross and I will never go back again!

    Stale!!!!! Donuts

Drove a whole 12 min because I was craving donuts. I went almost closing. I brought all 7 of the plum filling donuts that was left in the shelf. I came home to eat stale donuts. Disappointed!

Bread. Not flakey babka. Come on! Not good. Lazy.

The babka here is terrible! Will post a photo for you all to see...it is just a loaf bred with a little chocolate inside. No swirls. Not flakey. Not buttery. Compare my photo to every photo on google search. I made a surprise emergency stop when I saw the name because I love babka...it should have been a sign when I asked the lady who worked there if the Babka was amazing for its namesake. She said "sure." That was an overstatement. The apple turnover wasn't great either, but I would at least give that 3 stars. The aesthetic was very cute. That's the best I've got to say. BUT THE BABKA! It is called the babka shop! Go anywhere in south Williamsburg...just don't come here.

hands down, best donut in 20 years.....still warm... incredible

best bread in the hood, hands down. they can keep the babka and i will keep the donuts. best donuts in 10 years.

Very cute spot. I couldn't find anywhere to get a latte in Maspeth but then I stumbled across this place. It has really good coffee and they bake all of their pastries on site. I will be back here for sure.

In the middle of all the conversations, I grabbed my drinks and accidentally left my pastries on the counter. I didn't realize it until much later! I quickly sent them a DM, and they responded right away, telling me to come back the next day for fresh replacements. That level of kindness and customer service is rare these days. The team at Kora Bakery has always been amazinghumble, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. I've been supporting them since their pop-up days, and experiences like this are exactly why I'll continue to do so. Beyond the delicious baked goods, it's the people behind the bakery that make it such a special place. Well, that said I did try their new pastry which is spam and cheese and delicious. Reminds me of Hawaii. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity. Wishing you continued successyou've earned a customer for life! #korafortheculture

I've been wanting to come here for a while as I also wanted to explore the Sunnyside neighborhood…read more I would say the best thing to get is the ube donut as well as the salted egg babka. I was sadly not a fan of the spam and egg croissant or the flan donut. The flan was too dense and thick for our liking, and I wasn't a fan of the sticky coating of the spam and egg croissant. Has potential, but needs a bit of improvement with execution - the flan could be lighter, ube cookie softer, and the spam and egg croissant could've been just crispy and buttery on the outside. 4/5

He was patient with me and my niece trying to decide which delicious doughnut we would want. I got the Iced Glazed Vanilla coffee and it was delicious. Hot chocolate for the kids were good, but since its "real" hot chocolate they thought it tasted weird. Only because its not processed and has real chocolate in it haha. We decided to get the tres Leche, strawberry, blackout, and red velvet. Strawberry one tasted like a Pocky stick, delicious! Tres Leche was a second fave amongst the kids, and then the blackout. Full of flavor and right amount of sweetness. The red velvet was the least favorite as it didn't give much red velvet flavor and was lacking something we couldn't put our finger on it. Overall really good doughnuts and can't wait to try others. The place is in a fancy looking lobby building and across the college. We went on the weekend so it was not as busy during that time. Its a great spot to pick up something.

It was interesting, as I don't think I've ever had a sourdoughnut before. I ended up ordering the brooklyn blackout chocolate donut, which was good, although not quite as indulgent as I was hoping. Prices are no longer shown on the fridges (paying cash is cheaper) They switched the selections of cakes and cupcakes to the other side from the individual cookies and other pastries. DO NOT GET THE CUPCAKES, it taste like the supermarket cupcakes from stop and shop, walmart, or shop rite. It tastes like hint of cleaning supply, fake sweetness gritty textured icing. Try the cannoli, though the casing doesnt look like it's homemade. Apparently their filling is and they fill it per order which helps retain the crunch of the casing. We have tried a few cakes: strawberry shorcake, oreo cake, and chocolate mousse cake which is not bad for its price.
