Overall: 4.1/5 [delivery] We ordered on UberEats for the first time and everything was packed nicely. Chicken Karaage ($9.99): Came with 8 pieces and was our least favorite item. The flavor was lackluster and the chicken wasn't crispy even after air frying it at home. You definitely need to dip it in sauce. The one upside is that it has a good chicken to batter ratio. Banh Xeo Tacos ($14.99): Came with 3 crispy tacos, and we chose pork belly and shrimp as our protein. This one still hits and is definitely a go to order here. Beef Teriyaki Bowl ($23.99) + Fried Egg ($1.50): Pricey for a bowl but the beef teriyaki was delicious. The beef was very tender and the teriyaki flavor was spot on. The miso soup was good too.

This place has been on my list for awhile so glad I got to try it out. The menu is a unique blend of Vietnamese, Japanese and a little bit of Thai. We ordered two of the top dishes often mentioned in previous reviews, the creamy udon and tom kha pho. The creamy udon ($16.99) is pretty heavy. After a few bites it almost tastes too rich to eat. I think adding some pickled Japanese inspired veggies would help offset the creaminess. The tom kha pho ($16.99) tastes exactly how it sounds, savory with a hint of creamy coconut and citrus notes. But the chicken itself was pretty bland. I like the two dishes (pho and tom kha) separately but not sure if I like them together. Also ordered the crème brûlée latte (9/10) and the earl grey matcha latte (5/10). I wish the earl grey had a stronger presence. Overall I think it's a place you should try at least once if you want to try Asian dishes with a fusion twist.

Stopped by for dessert and drinks and wow I cannot wait come back to try their food! The place is a hole in the wall but do not be fooled. They are helpful if you have any questions about the menu. The taro blueberry croffle was a good size and so flavorful. The azure latte has a good coconut flavor. They even checked in on us to make sure everything tasted to our liking. This is a hidden gem!

Azure Cafe is such a hidden gem in Austin. It is a true local, family-owned small business, and that really shows in every part of the experience. The food quality is absolutely top-notch, and you can tell the owner puts so much care, thought, and attention into every dish. The menu has a wide variety of options, including lots of creative fusion dishes, and everything we tried was executed beautifully. We were honestly blown away by both the quality and the portion sizes. The drinks and bingsu were also fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable for how much care and quality you get. What made the experience even more special was how friendly and welcoming the owner was. He came out to introduce himself, talked with us about the food, and kindly asked for our thoughts and feedback. You can immediately tell he is passionate about his work and genuinely cares about his customers. That kind of warmth and sincerity makes a huge difference and makes the whole dining experience feel even more personal. This is the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression. We will definitely be coming back again and again to try more of the menu. **To other small, family-owned restaurant owners: this is how it is done right. Really good chicken katsu don. They did the egg, katsu, and onion rice just right. I also liked the pickled veggies a lot. Their miso soup was also really good (came with the katsu don). It has a nice onion aftertaste. Thai tea was perfect. I got half sweetness and it was one of the best Thai teas I've had in Austin. They also have Bingsu shaved ice there. First time I've tried it. The mango was good and the bobos / mochi with it were flavorful. They have big portions I was glad I got a medium size. Service was great. Their a/c was out so they offered 20% off for dine in which was nice and they gave me a free chilled bottle of water which was very thoughtful. They also got the food out very quickly. I'll definitely be back for more katsu and to try out the rest of their menu.

Got it delivered and it travelled okay enough! I'll err on the side of it's better in store. Chicken karaage had good flavor and the fish katsu banh mi was a fun switch up from the usual order. Loved the lychee soda!

The food was amazing! From the soup that came with our Springrito to the incredible sauce, every bite was packed with DELICIOUS flavor.The service was A1 as well. We were driving from Houston to Marble Falls and happened to find this place on Google Maps...so glad we did!This place is definitely a hidden gem, and we'll be stopping by again whenever we're in the area.

Azure is a great little cafe. It's north of 183 on Lamar. If I'm having a hard time deciding on a place to eat, Azure has come up as a possible default option. Their menu is pretty diverse. You go in, place your order on the kiosk, and then enter the table at which you'd like to sit at. They have cool neon signs hanging around on the walls. The bathroom down the hall past the curtains is clean. Once you place your order and sit down, they'll bring over bottled water to you. Your food will then come out after a bit. However, you'll have to grab your own plates, utensils, chopsticks, and napkins from the table. If you need to customize your order, talk with one of the staff members or the chef, and they'll let you know if they can accommodate. For example, noodle types can be swapped for certain dishes to establish a gluten-free version. Some of the dishes I've had before: Spring Rolls -- herbs, shrimp, vermicelli, cucumber, purple cabbage, and crunchy stick. I really like these spring rolls. Tom Kha -- savory broth, nice warm spiciness, plenty of yum. This has been reordered multiple times. Vermicelli Bowl -- assorted veggies, and pickled items, surrounding vermicelli, topped with a meat, eggroll Gyoza -- clearly deep fried so that all the skin puffs and is browned, but it works. Katsu -- rice, curry, panko breaded meat. I've ordered it once, and will probably order again. Karaage Chicken -- light crunch, nice sauce. Shaved Ice -- taro blueberry. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It comes with little gummy jellies. Tea Latte -- the hojicha black sesame one has a good sesame flavor. Sweetness is adjustable. The taro one is also nice. Flavored Sodas -- the strawberry matcha coconut water one (matcha cloud) is a good combination. They also use real in their sodas, e.g. lychee soda

This totally unassuming Vietnamese joint has some of the best banh mi in Austin. Owned by a husband and wife duo, you can tell that they love why they do. We love the sandwiches, and the drinks--the tiramisu Vietnamese coffee and the mango refresher, YUM--are KILLER. Also, don't miss the bingsu for desert! Located in a little office park/strip mall, Azure may not look like much from the outside, but the food is well worth your time and money.

We visited this restaurant on a Friday evening, and it's found in a shopping plaza. You self-order at the kiosk to either dine-in or do take-out. We ate at the restaurant and it was nice and clean. The food is good, but nothing spectacular or unique. The chicken karage was delicious! Nice crunch with a yummy dipping sauce. I was expecting the grilled pork bahn mi to be the closest thing to a traditional bahn mi sandwich - mine didn't come with any pate. It was pretty basic and didn't seem worth the cost. The beef teriyaki plate was well prepared and came with a salad with a variety of flavors. Caution: price listed for this on the online website differs from the price on the kiosk. I was happy with the food overall, but thought the prices were on the higher side. I think other restaurants do a better job on food with more affordable pricing. Additionally, this is a very self-service restaurant. You order your own food, grab your own utensils and condiments, and can bus your own table. Great place for a quick meal!

Very good experience. The food is a tad bit more expensive than your normal lunch place but the quality is very good and the attention to detail is solid. I got the fiery chicken bowl and the katsu udon. The fiery chicken bowl is a 10/10 BUT also very very spicy. They used cut up thai chilis or something because it's a heat that sneaks up quickly. It's also beautifully plated and put together. Katsu udon was solid, very great fry on the meat and the udon itself had some lemon zest which was a phenomenal ideal because it helped make the meal more interesting and decreased the flavor fatigue I usually get with katsu udon. This is definitely a place I would return back to because I want to try their drinks and desserts. I also think the food is so good I would bring people from out of town here. Not necessarily the best place to study because there aren't many outlets and all the outlets are used by their neon signs but I asked to unplug one temporarily and they let me sooo...

Looking for healthy food, I found Azure on Yelp! I was so happy to have found healthy Asian food in Austin! Walking into the restaurant, it is clean and unassuming. I ordered from the kiosk and was super happy with my som tum because it was fresh and tasty with extra chips on the side which was a nice touch! Came for the creamy udon--and wow, I've honestly never had anything like it before. Rich, comforting, and unforgettable. The ambience is incredibly homey and welcoming, the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. And the desserts... absolutely amazing. The mango bingsu was pure magic--it felt like eating a snowflake. One bite instantly took me back to being a kid, standing outside trying to catch snowflakes on my tongue as they melt in your mouth. Light, delicate, and nostalgic in the best way. The croffle was exceptional--crispy, caramel and whip cream, and perfectly done. AMAZING food, vibes, and service! We've only been here a handful of times (so far) and honestly I can't recommend this spot enough. Everything is absolutely delicious - they cook with love and you can taste it 10000%. We've had the chicken katsu, chicken teriyaki, Tom yum kha pho, chicken yaki udon, miso soup, gyoza, and tofu spring rolls - every single thing came out fresh and hot and made to order. Their drinks are great, the desserts are out of this world, again 10/10 across the board. The owners/chefs have created a wonderful little restaurant and are the nicest people. Mike has come out to check in about the food and chat with us every time we've eaten there - this place just feels like old Austin and everyone should go eat there and support them, you'll thank me! read more

I ordered a grilled chicken bahn mi which was light, fresh, and absolutely delightful. There wasn't any heavy thick mayo sauces, just a light house sauce that was incredible. I also had an earl grey tea (light sweet) which was perfect and floral. The owner was very nice and offered a complimentary bottle of water, he clearly is very passionate about his food. I will be back. This is the perfect place for lunch or a casual dinner. read more

This place is a hidden gem! Everything was fantastic, I can't wait to come back and try more. I started out with the azure latte, which was a velvety coconut drink. I really enjoyed this drink, it was creamy and lightly sweetened. For our appetizer, we shared the Banh Xeo Tacos because we saw they were popular. We were not disappointed, I loved the crunchy taco and fresh vegetables with the pork belly and the sauce. The taco shells are not like your normal shells, these were thicker and crunchier. For our entrees, I had the katsu curry and my boyfriend had the creamy udon. This was the best katsu curry I've ever had, the chicken was crispy and perfectly fried and the curry was sweet and savory. Even though my katsu curry was amazing, I really loved my boyfriend's dish. The creamy udon was my favorite thing here. The noodles were thick and the sauce was creamy and spicy. Again, the chicken was crispy and delicious. For dessert, we had the blueberry taro bingsu. This was my first time trying bingsu, and it was enjoyable. It wasn't overtly sweet, and it was refreshing in a way. I loved how fresh it was! Would recommend this restaurant to everyone read more

This was a great find. A little hidden gem. Quiet and quick place to go have either a lunch or dessert. I think this is a good place for an informal dinner as well. We got snacks. My kids loved the croffle, fruit sodas, and chicken karage. If you have never had a Croffle before, this is a must try. A croissant shaped waffle in one. So crispy and soft at the same time. Really good to try. I got ube coffee. This is truly hard to get right. But they did. The ube foam was nice texture and the coffee was perfect strength. We will definitely come back. Azure Cafe is a newer spot in Austin, and it's quickly becoming one of my go-to places. Their drinks are a must-try for sure. I've had both the Ube Latte and the Crème Brulee Latte, and both were excellent. The crème brulee version features rich Vietnamese coffee with a smooth, sweet brulee foam that balances everything out really well. The Chicken Karaage was another highlight; super crispy on the outside, tender inside, and paired with a garlic dipping sauce that complements it perfectly. The Chicken Katsu Banh Mi was a fun fusion; crunchy katsu, fresh pickled veggies, and a spicy mayo like sauce. Plus, it comes with a free miso soup, which was a nice bonus. read more

Super cute cafe with delicious food. Came in earlier today with family and the service was great. There's an option to order by touch screen which I used and really liked. The food came out fast and the servers were very good about making sure we enjoyed things. We had the Chicken Katsu Curry, Chicken Katsu Don, The Fish Katsu Banh Mi, Miso soup, the Blueberry Ube Bingsu and a Vietnamese coffee. All of the Katsu dishes were amazing. Honestly everything was great. I highly recommend the Fish Katsu Banh Mi. And the Bingsu was incredible. So so good. Love this place. read more

While looking for a coffee shop, I saw Azure on the map! After looking into it, I knew if I stopped for just a coffee I would have major FOMO for not getting something to eat there. My boyfriend and I were on a foodie trip in Austin and planned out every breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the week. We sacrificed a restaurant to check this place out and SO GLAD WE DID! Sophia behind the register was so sweet and attentive, asked if it was our first time in and explained all the deals they had going on. We got a bunch to try thanks to the bento box lunch special. The miso soup was insanely flavorful. Made sure to grab my iced coffee on the way out and got the Azure Coffee, its got a coconut blue secret cold foam that was so good it might ruin all other cold foams for me. This little hole in the wall is going to be the next "it" place for Austin. Don't gate keep it! Let's give them the success they deserve. Such a delicious hidden gem! If you love Japanese/ Vietnamese food you will love this place. The chicken katsu curry is amazing, the best Japanese curry I have had. The drink menu is very broad, highly recommend the pumpkin spice matcha latte! And the best sweet treat is a croffle, such a genius creation. The owners are the sweetest people and give such friendly and personal customer service! Overall such a great environment and phenomenal food!!! read more

Stopped in this small cafe and had a great lunch. The bahn mi was so yummy. We had the Fried Egg Dip Bahn Mi and the Grilled Chicken Bahn Mi. Ended up using the dipping sauce for both because it was so delicious. Make a point to try this place. You won't be sorry. Service was great as well. They care abt what they are doing. read more

We love that there are so many vegetarian options! We tried the Enoki banh mi, never had anything like it before. The mushrooms gave it a juicy "meaty" texture and umani flavor. It was so good! Tofu yaki udon was also very flavorful and portions were large. Matcha/Earl grey latte was not too sweet. My kids loved the blueberry/taro croffle! I tried some of my friend's biscoff croffle (excellent). Delicious food, friendly service. Definitely coming back! read more

I've been here twice so far and both times, I loved my dish. I tried the Chicken Katsu the first time and you have to try this dish! It is crunchy and amazing. The second time around I had the Pho and also loved it! and I can't wait to come back to try something else on the menu. The staff here are friendly and attentive. Order at the screen and the food comes out quick. Their matcha was sooooo good I got the early grey matcha. The creamy udon noodles were very tasty and so was everything else tbh no complaints. Bathroom was clean. Kid friendly great service and there's parking. One of my fave spots we went to while visiting Austin. read more

Tried the Chicken Karage with the Miso Soup for the side and it was amazing. We also ordered the Biscoff Croffle and Strawberry Bingsu and both were perfectly sweet, not too sweet. Definitely recommend coming here for authentic Vietnamese food. the drinks are also on point, lychee soda was super refreshing!!! read more

Of course, the real test is the food, and judging from the lunch I had there today, this place should be a winner. My friend and I shared a tea leaf salad as appetizer, and it lives up to the best I had in Myanmar. We both tried variations on the Shan noodle entree, dry (as opposed to a soup-based version) and both the chicken and pork types were delicious, with a wonderful complexity of flavors and textures. So far, the only concession I noticed to American tastes was in the portion size. The entrées were huge, which is OK by me, as I am already looking forward to dinner and maybe breakfast! The service was very friendly, and we got to chat with mom, the genius behind these great flavors, and she is as wonderful as the food she cooks. If you're familiar with Burmese food, you're in for a treat. If you're not, give it a try - - because I selfishly hope that this restaurant will be around for a good while.

I enjoyed the pork cracklings and side veggies that came with all the dishes. I would definitely come back for the Shan noodles again and try other rice dishes. Staff were incredibly kind and attentive. This place is a cute mom and pop restaurant, definitely go and support them.

The uber eats driver sat there for at least 15-20 minutes until finally they informed him that the spicy yellowtail I wanted just "wasn't ready"- no idea why, and so I had to substitute a spicy salmon roll. It took almost an hour and 45 minutes from time of order placed to get the food 15 minutes away. The restaurant did nothing to compensate for the extremely long prep time or item change. It didn't really matter what the rolls were, because they dont have enough fish in them to taste like anything. All three rolls tasted exactly the same (I had a salmon avo, tuna avo, and a spicy salmon). The fish in the rolls was about the size of a an index finger fingernail, if that. You get larger, fresher fish pieces in HEB sushi. Plus, multiple pieces of avocado were severely under ripe and hard. They tried to compensate for almost no roll filling by having a crap ton of rice on the outside- the problem is whoever rolls these rolls doesn't know what they're doing. So all that heavy rice did was make every piece i picked up fall apart. The spicy salmon was not spicy. The bento box was...fine. In the uber eats description it says it comes with 5 pieces of veggie tempura. We did not get that. The edamame was fine, wish it was salted, and the rolls were tasteless. THe salad was SWIMMING in dressing and unedible. The gyoza and spring roll were miniature. I perused some reviews and it seems like ramen in their strong point and I saw similar feedback on the sushi- so if you order from here I'd stick with soup. But I can't see myself ordering from here again.

Azure Cafe is a brand new space born from the search for the old Tam Deli. In a place where one can be, Chef Ek My Lo and family have remodeled the restaurant and brought new life to the traditionally cozy spot at 8222 North Lamar Blvd. I'm always in the area, so I was lucky enough to try several dishes from them after their soft opening on April 26. The creative and delicious Asian fusion dishes offered are the ones I've had the most fun customizing: The gyoza (pot stickers) are amazing, served with a special sauce made by the chef. The miso soup is extra rich, served with fresh tofu and seaweed, which is among the best I've had. Their banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) is amazing, I've tried the teriyaki and beef teriyaki, but they have several chuck steaks. And you can add a side of fries for $3. Also try the delicious rice bowl with vegetables and chicken katsu. The menu has a second menu that will have me coming back several times to try the plates, noodle soups and bowls, sides, healthy drinks and desserts. Incredible cozy hidden gem! Everything is fresh and the attention to detail is apparent - meat never has any fat or gristly bits, vegetables are cut to appropriate size and cooked perfectly, never mushy like some places. Food is not overly oily and the sauces, marinades and dressings are all made in house. That's not even getting into the incredible Thai teas and homemade desserts, as well as the exceptional customer service (remembered us and gave us a free mango bingsu on our second visit, a first time treat for both of us we'll be having again). If we lived closer I'd be there eating right now instead of writing this review, so go get some yaki udon and tell chef Mike that Cole sent you! read more

Azure is absolutely amazing! The food here is always spot on. I especially love the creamy udon and chicken katsu- it's one of my absolute favorites - and the fish katsu is super delicious too. Their homemade sodas, refreshing bingsu, and crispy croffles are must-tries. I've been back several times and honestly can't get enough. It's definitely one of my favorite places for Vietnamese and Japanese-inspired food! read more

Azure feels like a hidden gem just north of the 99 Ranch plaza. I've tried several of their drinks, croffles, and savory entrees, and everything has been a hit. The flavors are well-balanced, and the quality is consistently impressive. It's a great spot to discover something new and enjoy a delicious meal or treat in a cozy setting.
