Got a fried talapia with rice and avocado salad and it was delicious. The whole fish was deep fried and was delicious. The avocado salad had fresh guac and I simply just love this birthday meal for myself. My family said the margaritas here are good as well. Definitely will return and next time try their tacos de birria. Service was equally great and someone came out and said my fried fish will take longer thus the whole table meals would come out later too so everyone can be served together. Personally next time if I get the fish again , I'll let them know that I don't mind waiting while my family eats first. I can always munch on their delicious complimentary nachos and home made salsa. I knew it would take longer for my fish to come out but an employee came out to let us know which to me is exceptional service!

We've heard great things about the take out food here, so we had to stop in and try it. Atmosphere is friendly, festive and musical. Menu's are out front and you can sit anywhere. Once your ready go up, order, and they will bring over the goods. I had the taco combo. Excellent food, great service and a good time. Make sure you try this place out.

Great Mexican place in Gorham. They have a large bar, large dinking room and then also a counter where you can quickly order take out (kind of like Chipotle). Their margaritas are amazing! I got a coronarita and it was really good. Also their food is really great too, decent prices with great quality food. You get chips and salsa to start. I will be back for sure!

Great local spot! Staff could be a bit more helpful regarding ordering and the menu. They just handed us a menu. You order at the counter. The food is delicious and I love the decor.

We went for dinner last night and had the enchiladas supremas, street tacos and azulejo burrito. The burrito was lukewarm at best and underwhelming in ingredients. Tacos with ground beef were dryer than a bucket of sand. The enchiladas looked cool with the sauces matching the Mexican flag. The enchiladas were lukewarm as well. I probably should've said something, but working in the industry for 20 years I knew it wouldn't have mattered. Azul is very clean inside and the service wasn't bad, but overall it's just a overpriced chipotle without parking in downtown Gorham.

Ahh, the sign of a butchers cleaver. I am not sure what this provokes in most people, but as I've…read moresaid before, Stephen King gives me the heebie-jeebies. So for me, the butcher cleaver represents something tasty--except for when the shmuckabaloos haven't a clue what they are doing. Fortunately, this tasty little joint, Miller's Market up in Gorham, Maine, knows what they're doing! I'd been cruising the highways, riding the coast of Vacationland for some time now, and somehow, someway, ventured a bit further inland. Once I saw the burnt-orange cleaver in the window, I knew I'd have to give it a try and see if these hullabaloos knew what they were doing. I was greeted with a "Hey, how you'rrrr doin'?" The soft, rolling extension on the r made me feel right at home in Maine. Jeezum crow, you Mainers speak funny. But by golly, you are a lovable bunch of hillbilly farmers and fisherfolk. Anywho, I ordered myself a chicken Caesar wrap--wanting to feel nourished, but not to the point of comatose. Salad in a wrap--a genius way to feel healthy. Mind over matter. "Hand-cut fries or hand-cut chips?" the counter guy asked me. Now, I love a fry, but I'm feeling crunchy in these overcast late-April days. I hesitate, and somehow this mind reader behind the counter could sense it. "I can see you want the chips, but you gotta try these fries. Why don't I give you a little of both?" he says to me. Now I'm looking at him cockeyed--just another Mainer who seems to be able to read a man's soul. Well, I am here now--no turning back. And then my eyes widen when I spot a tasty crème soda in the fridge next to the register. My lucky day. Crème soda--the most underrated of all sodas. What's not to love? Creamy and poppy all in the same bottle. This guy seems nice, and I am in no rush, so I say, "Hey, throw it on my tab. I'm going to be a while. After I eat, I'm going to write something!" I pull up a spot without paying and know that there's no expectation to do so--at least not right away. Good ol' Maine courtesy, as good as this blueberry Jalapeño salsa from Pemberton partners, which I can apparently purchase at Millers Market, where it just ain't sangys it's home goodies too. I open up my futuristic-typewriter and get to work on my latest novel, but can't seem to find a single word. I glance at the menu--buffalo chicken pesto sandwich. Hard tellin', not knowin'. Mainers--brilliant folk when it comes to food. Pesto and buffalo sauce! Never had it, but I need it. That's bound to be tasty--as warm buttah' on lobstah. "Hi, I'll take my butter with lobster, please."--how it should be ordered. Dee-EEE --licious. You Mainers are shaking your heads right now, pesto and buffalo is probably a common thing round these parts, from ya? Nope I ain't and the rest of the country is far behind on the trend of the buffalo/pesto combo, I can promise you that. Then my food is brought out to me. It looks tasty--but the fries have me skeptical.... Find out how it all turned out at https://ryanccurtis.com/blog/timeless-fries-at-millers-market/n19c63

At…read morefirst, I was put off by the atrocious parking, but what else could I expect in down town? This place definitely gives "butcher" and "market" vibes, which was expected. Indoor seating was lacking, and the menu wasn't huge...but trust me, the variety was just enough to satisfy just about anyone. I ordered the smash burger, which was messy, greasy and absolutely fantastic. I got the turkey club for my kids to split (and this thing was HUGE) they didn't finish it . My wife got the Cesar wrap, and she was beyond happy with it. She even brought half back home with us. I strangely suggest going on a nice day and sitting outside, it was wonderful. (Pro-tip; if going during peak lunch, expect a wait on the food. We went into Azul Tequila and got an appetizer to go so we could eat this while waiting for our sandwiches. Honestly, it's the best of both worlds)

This is my second visit to Junction Bowl…read more I just popped in after a full day at work for Apps and a Brew. I was able to get a spot out front, plenty of street parking with no fees, and walked right in. Staff is friendly and prompt. I was able to just mozy up to the bar. Bar tender was prompt, took my order and I had a frosty drink in less than a minute. Ordered fried pickles and they were out in about three sips of my Pumpkinhead. They have a huge variety of draft, cans and plenty of alcohol to choose from. This includes, cider and GF options from lucky pigeon. The fried pickles are crispy, and the dip enhances the taste of the fried pickles. The full bar has seating on three sides and there are TVs everywhere you look. We are in the same room as the bowling lanes and there are twelve of them. There is seating in a separate room if you want. All in all a friendly, comfortable place to sit and rest your feet. Despite not being overly busy it took the waitress forever to greet us. After she took our order she said she would get us plates but never did. The wait was ridiculously long and some other woman threw a plate of skins on the table and immediately walked away. No plates. One tiny sour cream for two people. We tried to wave our waitress and this other woman down but they were too involved in personal conversation and going back into the kitchen. I had to go to the host and ask her if she could bring us plates and get our waitress, but then I noticed the plates on the shelf and was able to self serve. The hostess was able to get us the sour cream. I'm not a monster so I still tipped 20% but I low key wish the tip went to the hostess instead.

There is a really nice vibe to Roots. I always like visiting them for lunch. My only criticism was the time I had the Club Sandwich (not going vegan that day) ... Maybe it was the coffee, maybe it was the addition of sugar free vanilla, but I didn't drink it. The ceilings are extremely high. They most definitely should have some noise-dampening panels or something to make it a bit quieter in there. There was a family there when I went that was treating this small coffee shop as a daycare, which made my experience even more disappointing. The screams were echoing throughout the cafe, and I ended up sitting outside for peace and fresh air. The outside seating area is nice. Overall, not a great first experience for me, but maybe their food is better than the coffee?
