My husband and I were born and raised in Miami Florida, but we moved to Vermont about 3 years ago. In our experience, this place certainly has authentic Salvadorian cuisine. The staff there were very warm and friendly. Thank you for reminding us of home!

Pupusas Revuelta

Something has changed here ?! New owners ? Employees ? Tgere used to be a guy who order tgere for like a decade ! Where did he go ? It's not the same without him . The food was ok today , better than the last time .its hard to take a phone order if you do not speak English . Got a side order of beans the charged me for beans and rice , good thing I was paying attention. $4 each for pupusas is real steep . The pupusas are not consistent.they also run a church here so if that suits you have mass and a pupusa !

Burrito

Stopped by for take out last night. It was my first time ordering from there. I got a burrito bowl with chicken and my friend got the burrito. I was super happy with my bowl and liked how it came with chips although, I would probably order an extra bag bc there weren't enough for me. Additionally, I would also go ahead and get the chips and salsa because I think the bowl would be a lot better with some on there. With that being said, it's affordable, quick and laid back there. Can't wait to return and try that whole fish!

Tamale y pupusa con frijoles

I LOVE TAMALES soooo much, but the SO (who's Guatemalan), just WON'T MAKE THEM ENOUGH! So somehow Tu Casa popped up on my radar while browsing, and I looked at their menu, saw $2 tamales, and said, yup we're going there. And so I drag the SO there to eat some food from the neighboring lands on a day where we have to rush to go somewhere else right away after eating...oops! The Cocina people seem to mostly be in the back so we didn't meet with any workers in the beginning. One of the ladies came out and let us know we could seat ourselves anywhere in the small but humble dining area...probably big enough for about 20-30 people. The menu is of a good size. I immediately start looking for tamales and low and behold, the first item on the menu is the golden tamale for $2. We went directly up to the window to order -- 1 tamale, 1 pupusa con frijoles, y 1 burrito. Our order came out about 10 or 15 minutes later. My tamale was fantastic, but I realized I like my tamale masa to be slightly grainier than their version was. Not that it was bad by any means, but it was a lot smoother in texture than my personal preference. The pupusa was perfect and everything I expected, served with delicious sauces. The SO's burrito was giant! It was about the size of two baby heads and filled with rice, refried beans, and chicken. Unfortunately, he wasn't a super fan of the burrito -- it wasn't pan fried on the bottom and wasn't as flavorful as he was hoping, so overall it wasn't to his preference, but still not bad. As for me, I was super satisfied. Finding a $2 tamale is already so good and if that means coming here to get it, I don't care about his burrito!

I had not been here in a really long time ... so happy I returned. Tucked away on Washington Ave the person taking the order was great and the food was absolutely wonderful. Dining room I ok. Was nice enough day we sat outside and they brought our food out to us. Delicious vegetarian wrap. The chicken , rice and beans was excellent the Steak and rice was so good . The food looks just like the pictures on the menu . Definitely going back the prices was great and food and service were excellent.

Carne Asada with avocado

Delicious Food, great fast service. I love their carne asada, fried fish, and always top it off with a fruit smoothie!

Plato Monanero Order Of Three Enchiladas Pupusas De Queso Y Loroco

Don't be fooled by the appearance! This divey restaurant has great flavors and character as well as delicious food. The portions are generous, the service is fast and friendly and maybe you'll try something new! The Plato Montenegro was delicious and I loved the generous amount of avocado. I liked the flavors of the trio of enchiladas but my partner wanted more food at the end of the meal.

Updated review for the Salterito food truck in the parking lot of Allspeed on Brighton Ave. The…read morecarnitas burrito and Three Amigos tacos (1 chicken, 1 pork, 1 steak) tasted very good! I could've done without the lettuce in the burrito, and I did remove 1 star because it was falling apart when I got home and I ended up having to use my own (store bought) tortilla, which was disappointing after paying $17 for a burrito. Even so, everything was super flavorful! Tacos would be my recommendation to others. I also very much appreciate that the food is all authentic and handmade, they had picnic tables in the shade for seating, and the chef was welcoming and happy to explain the menu options.

I have heard great things and was really hoping they had pupusas available on the truck... but no such luck. Only tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. That's ok because the very kind gentleman on the truck made the 3 Amigos sound really good! It's one pork, one beef, and one chicken taco on homemade tortillas with the standard fixings - onion, cilantro, guac, and salsa. I will say that the homemade tortillas are very good, though different than most I've had. They are soft to the point of almost being creamy? Very very rich, reminded me of the base of a sope. The meats were absolutely delicious and grilled and full of flavor. I loved both the pork and the beef, though the fattiness could've used an extra lime or two. I took one bite of the chicken taco and got a couple little bones, so I didn't eat the rest of that one. The sauces were good, though I was told one of the sauces was VERY VERY hot and I didn't detect a lot of spiciness from it. I think overall, I could've used double garnish, double lime, and a lot of extra heat. There are no prices on the board so I was thinking three tacos would come to like $10 - $12. Turns out they are $20 before tax, holy moley. I admit that my expectations were high before I even took a bite, because that price point is a little crazy. I am super curious about the brick and mortar because I'm sure it's a different experience with the food truck. These tacos were definitely tasty enough to do some more research!

Sorry thats a 50 cent upcharge. Also let's be clear no where on the menu does it say anything about an upcharge. I'm surprised they didn't start counting out my beans and charge me per bean. The music is so loud in there that even if they did tell me it was an upcharge, I would have to be an expert lip reader to understand. This place operates under the guise of a cheap easy spot. It's none of those things. Literally go anywhere else. Also service was impressively slow for a restaurant where everything is already prepared. It's like they engineered this place to be the worst experience possible. I also want to add it's legit like a cave in there. Sort of wet and dark. Very icky. I once again state the food was subpar. Also the queso tasted like milk. What am I a kitten ?

Maps on iPhone did not bring me to the exact location so I called their number and no one ever answered said box was full multiple times .
