Service is fast and very helpful and accommodating with any questions you have. I ordered the Jalapeño margarita and it was delicious! I really enjoyed the fresh jalapeño slices in the margarita, i think it added just enough spice. I also love the house salsa that comes to your table immediately upon sitting down. I also opted for the guacamole which is extremely fresh and absolutely worth the added cost. I also opted for the ranchero chicken wings for a small plate and i love the quality of the chicken, even though it's not an authentic mexican dish they still make it shine with the freshest ingredients and cooking them perfectly! This place was amazing! The service was wonderful and so polite and overall just a fun atmosphere. The food, was WOW!! Delicious and for the price and portions were perfect! We have been to several Mexican restaurants, but this one had little twists to all their dishes and we all loved that. My chimichanga wasn't just a wrap, it was a bundle, loved the presentation. Their SALSA, I could eat it and it was awesome! First, I cannot eat spicy and this was not , so I actually got to enjoy my nachos and if there was cilantro in it, I couldn't tell. Biddeford is not an area my wife and I go to that frequently but have had Coco on our radar for some time now. Tonight was the night we finally made it down to check it out. Thankfully we snagged free street parking less than a block away. Maybe it was due to being downstairs in almost a basement but it gave dive bar vibes at first. Which in my mind is not meant as a negative in any way. The walls are covered in beautiful artwork. Brings in that extra character to make it stand out a little bit! They also have the popular instagramable neon light saying "Tequila made me do it". Our server and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive. As soon as we sat we were greeted with chips and salsa that were a great start. No margarita this trip but plan on grabbing some next trip here! Food wise they have all you would expect plus some unique options as well. I got their Burrito Biddo smothered burrito that was a great portion size and tasted delicious. My wife got the carnitas fajitas and wow huge amount of food! She loved the taste and thinks she has found her new favorite local spot to grab carnitas! Maybe next time we will try new food but at the same time maybe not cause our choices were that good! Baja bowl was flavorful with evenly mixed rice, beans, grilled haddock, veggies and cilantros. The asada taco was tasty with tender carne asada and kick from salsa verde and lime. Overall it's a solid Mexican restaurant that is staple around the area. I can see why people come here for Mexican food. It was a good stop for dinner during our trip to Maine. I approve of this location~ I ordered a margarita and an asada bowl. I liked that I was able to customize it, and I asked for no avocado and sour cream(just a personal preference). It was great! Not too big, and a good portion if you come hungry! When you step off the sidewalk, you walk down the stairs into the heart of this colorful retreat. Great music, cool atmosphere and great staff. They have table service, a full bar and watch out because there is a ton of takeout coming out of the kitchen. Once seated, chips and salsa come to the table. If you are GF, these are not safe, fried in the same oil as other fried foods. With that said, good salsa, I am not GF I ordered a street taco, fresh fish tacos and their coco taco. Went to the bar for a drink and some dinner. I'm not a huge tequila girl but the strawberry margarita was really good. I wasn't a fan of the guacamole (tasted too bland) and the chips didn't taste like anything. I ordered the asada bowl for my meal and it was pretty good. Very pleased to have eaten at COCO today! After reading some positive reviews online my partner and I decided to go here for lunch. We were greeted with a friendly server/bartender who seated us and took our order. I had ordered a horchata for a beverage but they were unfortunately out, so I settled for a piña colada. Very tasty, refreshing, and the perfect amount of liquor as it was not overpowering but you knew you got your moneys worth in alcohol. For a starter we were given fresh chips and salsa on the house which was perfectly flavorful with a slight spice. For an appetizer we got the guacamole which was fantastic. The guac was mashed but still a little chunky, very well seasoned, and had a layer of pico de gallo on top. I had always mixed my pico in with the avocados when I make it at home but I will be trying this from now on as it looks pretty and you can choose your guac to pico ratio per bite. For our entrees my partner got two tacos--one grilled shrimp and one chicken street taco. The shrimp taco had a corn tortilla, grilled shrimp, pickled red onions, and some sort of crema. Very delicious. The grilled chicken taco was decent, slightly over cooked, but not bad. Probably wouldn't order again. I got the enchilada de birria which came with rice and beans. The plating was funny as the plate was large with a stripe of beans, a stripe of rice, and enchiladas at the bottom(I wish I had taken a picture but I will try harder from now on) everything was delicious on the plate from the beans to the enchilada. The decor was authentic Mexican feel with the music going and the servers having some fun. The whole vibe was on point. We ordered the free chips and salsa along with a side of guacamole and it was amazingly delicious it was fresh and vibrant with flavor. We then had our main courses at just over 10 dollars in a carnitas bowl and a veggie bowl that was delicious and great. The carnitas bowl had small pieces of diced mango that took the dish to a whole new level along with Mexican rice and black beans. I ordered the Coconut Shrimp, Steak and Pork. They fell apart as soon as I picked them up; the pork one was so greasy, I couldn't finish it. Coconut shrimp was ok, but I'm not a fan of sweet mixed with savory in my tacos. I had walked in about 20 minutes before closing and felt very rushed even though there were other tables still eating. Coco is one of our go-to Mexican joints. It's in a great location in downtown Biddeford across from city hall. Their food is always top notch. We ordered a variety of dishes this time; rolled tacos filled with chicken, a fried fish taco, a carnitas bowl (with a smoky sweet guajillo chile sauce). Plus a bunch of crunchy chips. The staff is always kind at pick up. We've never eaten in, but the decor looks great and it seems very comfy. I did mark them down a bit for forgetting our guacamole order, however. They will come and get you when there is an opening. Loved the subterranean cozy cave feel and the super friendly welcome. I believe the owner served me and a few others at the bar (quieter off hours between lunch & dinner). Their signature huge burrito Al Pastor was packed with juicy marinated pork and minimal rice & bean filler. Salsa was excellent. I wasn't crazy about their premade (but homemade) margarita mix, more sweet than sour for my tastes. And the bar area was a bit sticky, floor and bartop. Menu is pretty typical of what you might find in other Mexican restaurants, but it's good. The burritos are huge and the sauces are tasty. Some of the accoutrements on the plates are just mwh, but the food itself is good. Biggest issue is the service and wait times. I've been with and without younger kids. It's hard for them to wait, but they liked the tri-colored chips when they found a couple in a basket. Overall, pretty standard. Good for a work lunch or to quench that burrito craving. When we discovered a new joint opening down the street in Biddeford we HAD to stop by. Immediately upon entering the vibes are immaculate. You go down a short staircase into a semi narrow hallway with cute decoration and colors. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table. The waitress was cheerful and quickly took our drink orders. I got the mojitarita or somethin and my partner got a watermelon margarita. We ordered and got our food very quickly. I had a burrito. It was huge and pretty cheap! Extremely tasty and honestly presented well. The whole place was "insta-worthy." The best part was the hotsauce. It was a homemade mixture in a clear body and man was it spicy!
