New location is great. Server was attentive and friendly. I had a carnitas bowl and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had a burrito, and she loved it. Fun spot & excellent service. I got the coco margarita (I think that's what it's called). It's pretty big & yummy, I'd get it again. The meal starts with warm chips & salsa. The chips are very good & it's difficult to stop eating them. For my entrée, I got the shrimp tacos. VERY good. The shrimp was fried to perfection with great coconut flavor. I come here super often. I used to go more then once a week because I love it so much! My favorite order is the Burrito Basico with steak, and wow they just make great food. The waiters are always very kind and polite, and make special effort to remember you visit to visit. It's super low key and chill inside the restaurant, and has an authentic feel. Worth the money and time! Cocos is the best! Almost forgot to mention how delicious their complimentary chips and salsa is. It's practically worth eating here for their delicious chips and salsa alone. Most places charge up to 7$ for that quality, but it is reliability delicious and free at cocos! read more

Coco Bar & Grill opened recently in Biddeford, inside the former Los Tapatios space, across the street from City Hall. This cozy Mexican restaurant and bar is situated in a basement space which has the bar & lounge with seating at the bar and table seating to the right and the main dining room with 10 booths and a table. Please use caution on the steps when entering and exiting the restaurant.  I stopped in here recently and was greeted at the door and promptly seated in a booth. The place was moderately busy. The menu offers traditional Mexican fare, desserts and drinks with fair prices. I was eyeing their crafted taco selection and it sort of reminded me of another popular taco place in Kittery with a similar name. I decided to order one Coco Taco ($5.25 plus tax) and a Chimichanga with Steak ($13.95 plus tax) served with choice of two sides (I chose rice and Caesar salad). The server brought out a complementary small bucket of tri color tortilla chips which were crunchy with mild tomato salsa for dipping. My food came out in about 12 minutes after ordering. The Coco Taco was filled breaded shrimp in a light coconut coating, fried to crisp with mango pinneapple sauce, coleslaw, mango pico, pickled onions, scallions and cilantro. The Chimichanga was deep fried crunchy and folded like a dumpling filled with pieces of soft steak. The server poured some hot queso over the Chimichanga while serving it to me. The rice was standard and the salad had crisp lettuce, Caesar dressing and small tortilla strips on top. I did need a to go box for my food, just like the other diners at the other booths since they give you a lot.  Overall, I found excellent Mexican food in Biddeford. Googled Mexican food while shopping in Biddeford and happened to find this place. The atmosphere was cozy and cute. The food was typical of what is usually on a menu. The difference being is that this food was authentically made. The servings were huge and made with fresh ingredients. Drinks were great too. read more

DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE !!! We have been traveling from Northern California and have been so disappointed with the lack of GOOD Mexican food. Cocos was an amazing find. Food was outstanding and the service was on point in ever aspect. The owner actually served us and we complimented him on food and friendly staff. I had the Coco shrimp tacos that were prepared to perfection and the plated delivery was something you don't see at most Mexican restaurants. My wife had the steak tacos that one again were full of favor and plated perfectly. Chips and salsa were kept full which were served warm. I heard through the grapevine that this place was amazing, but wow those words just don't do it justice. If you are looking for delicious, affordable, and plentiful food DO NOT look anywhere else. Everything that I tried was absolutely incredible and I'm already looking forward to getting takeout again. The coconut shrimp taco was loaded with 3 huge coconut shrimp, juicy mango slaw, and several other delicious accompaniments. The Birria quesadilla was one of my favorites and completely loaded up with super tender meat & a delicious green salsa for dipping. I have no idea what the salsa was, but do yourself a favor and order double of it, you will thank me later. Another memorable component of the meal was the most refreshing Shirley temple I have ever had. Hate on it as you may, but that thing was huge and loaded with flavor for only like $3.50. At the end of the day, I give Coco's 5 stars and look forward to the many, many more meals I plan on enjoying here. After having been to Mexico numerous times and lived in California, I have waited to find a Mexican restaurant that does it for me. The space is trendy and cool but still very much connecting to the traditions of Mexico without being cheesy. The SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING! Our server was friendly, the food was fast, all staff continued to check in and clear plates and we were given great recommendations. I even mentioned my mango allergy and our server went back to the kitchen just to verify that no sauce or marinade contained it. Then there was the food. I got the bandera burrito and subbed the meat for their carnitas, and I still dream about it. Came hot and fresh and I could have drank the sauces topping it. My boyfriend doesn't like cheese (crazy, I know) so got one of their 2 hands burritos and loved it. His jalepeno margarita had fresh jalapeño in it and was the perfect level of spice. I wanted a michelada which they don't have on the menu and I appreciated our serving saying "I could make one but it won't be authentic so I don't recommend it" which I SO much appreciate as opposed to something being made poorly. I got the cervezarita instead and as someone who doesn't love margaritas I enjoyed every sip. The only thing I wish I could change about this place is that they would open a location closer to me in Portland. Phenomenal! read more

I want to give Coco a higher rating, but in all honesty I can't. It is so nice to be greeted upon entering. The service is quite good as are the shrimp and wings. However, the bowl I ordered was mostly beans. The taquito was filled with dry chicken. One dish arrived cold. And they were out of an item listed on the menu and the bar offerings are quite limited. But the prices are fair. Go for a drink, their free chips and salsa, and order the wings and shrimp and listen to the fine selection of music. Then you will be happy. read more

She texted me the menu so I could look it over and place my order. A lot of great variety to choose from. The food was ready and when I arrived. The restaurant has fun bright decor. For the food, the ingredients were so fresh and amazing tasting. The fish tacos were particularly good. The churro order was plentiful and served in bite sized strips, easy for sharing.
