We usually have good experiences and I went to pick up my takeout food for my fiancé and I and the tender's were okay, they were kinda soggy and mushy and I did call to ask because the other location is different so I was curious. They stated they don't bread the tenders "on site" which I didn't know what that meant. I did also find a hair in my ranch as well...which again I know this is completely out of the norm for this location. Excellent food with a great choice of beer! Very busy place with ample parking. Short wait since we wanted a table but there were plenty of spaces at the bar. This was not the flagship that we visited but we were told it was close by. We had the pan fried dumplings with the haddock bites as one meal. This review is solely for the Gorham Restaurant location. (Not the tasting room in Gorham) Our family pulled in hoping for a wonderful evening dinner. We called and a young lady confirmed dogs were allowed on the patio. As we were walking in a gentleman was stairing as I walked to the front entrance. (Yes there are signs saying no dogs), however, there was a dog on big grass area. I assumed dogs were allowed in certain areas outside. Like almost every other establishment. As we entered he met me at the front hostess stand already shaking his head and bluntly told me before I could say a word "that I walked past several signs saying no dogs allowed" I explained that we called and confirmed and we also saw a dog out on the grass area. overall the experience from this one gentlemen was very rude and the female manger behind him not saying a word was even more shocking. I would recommend that they have a little more respect from their customers as they offered no alternative to get their business. I was told to basically get out. a more professional way would have been ... you can order a to go pizza or meals... and I don't know have a picnic at Shaw acres. Stopped here for lunch, and didn't realize they have a nice outside patio. It was a beautiful day out so it was nice to sit outside. They do coverage from the sun if it's a super hot day. They have a large bar. The server was friendly and prompt. I got a burger (forgot to take a picture) and it was kinda pricey for what it was but it was good. Elevated bar food, the chicken sandwich is better. I'm not a huge beer drinker so I can't comment on that but they have all kinds of drinks and wine. read more

I've been coming to this location since it first opened, specifically for the waffle fries & they no longer have them! It was my absolute favorite menu item! The majority of their food is also frozen, and those two things are why this location gets 3 stars. The service is great, I've never had a problem here! This location was, at one point, the old Gorham train station - and I LOVE that about this place. Although, you might not be able to tell now. It's a handsome building, the interior is modern, warm & inviting. It seems Sebago has acquired a updated approach since my prior review. Lunch was very good .. service was adequate although just short of friendly, she was nice enough and efficient enough. We had the Cowboy quesadilla with cole slaw and a Tuna BLT with onion rings. Both sandwiches were generous and had good flavor. Sebago is really good! I was here with a big group and there was plenty of seating and our waitress was amazing. I would highly recommend getting the buffalo chicken dip and the pretzel sticks to start, and the loaded mashed potato pizza as an entree. I frequent this Sebago due to it's close proximity to my work, and sometimes you just need a quick place to run to for some beers and food... However, having been to a various Sebago locations, this Sebago's atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. The inside is run-down and the booths are grungy, but they do have an outside patio area when the weather is nice out! The food is your typical Sebago options (except for the Kennebunk location which has a variety of flatbreads that are AMAZING), which consists of a variety of pub-styled food with some elevated dishes, and the food always comes out with quality. I have never had a bad food experience at this location, and the service has always been decent. Overall, this is an okay Sebago. It's definitely not my favorite, and I mostly come here out of convenience, though I do want to go to their new location in Gorham, which just might become my new after work staple! read more

The whole time we were there he stalked around without smiling once. Im sure he is GREAT to work for. I am willing to bet all the employees feel the exact same way about this guy. Had my 11month old and they wouldnt let us use a high chair at the booths. It half blocked the path... well any spot you use it would block a path so why have them? Or whyd they stuff tables too close to eachother. The waitress was nice, but we were completely rushed out of there. We clearly were not welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. We had quite the adventure getting here - our other two picks that were closer to home ended up being closed for the evening, and we came into Sebago Brewing as our third stop. The place was nearly empty, which meant our service was on point. Our waitress was kind and had a good sense of humor and was very attentive to our minimal needs. We ordered up some local brews from their surprisingly short brew menu. My wife ordered the Reuben with sweet potato fries. She said the fries were the "best she's ever had" - I think mostly due to the fact that they were cut like steak fries, her favorite. The Reuben was near the bottom of the list of Reuben's she's had. It was too heavy on the beef, which was dry and tasteless, and the dressing was scarce. I had the chicken strips off the app menu. I'm sad to report that they were dry and grossly crunchy/over breaded. My beer came in handy to choke those bad boys down! Our friend had the lobster and Brie flatbread from the app menu and she was pretty disgusted by the amount of aioli on top. My wife and I thought it was delicious though, so it may have been a personal taste dislike rather than a problem of the food. Overall, I'd probably be back for happy hour for cheap beer, but the food wasn't really anything to write home about, nor would I be likely to try the items we ordered again. read more

The waitress delivered them, I commented about how they were not the ones they served the past how many years and that when we were told they "changed". No biggy, but how about informing your customer of a staple item changing when they are ordering? Not when it's delivered.... Let's talk about my sebago lunch date for a sec here, mmmmk? One beautiful but chilly Saturday Matt and I were wandering Gorham and he said, "isn't there a sebago around here" and I said, "indeed!" As I furiously pulled open my app (because google maps.... No thanks). And low and behold we were seemingly on top of the place. It's easy to miss if you aren't searching for it. (Bigger sign, perhaps?) We jogged in from the cold and were seated immediately in the coolest tiny dining room. This place is a freaking spec! But it felt comfortable! Shock, I tell you. The menu is delightful and I had the best black bean burger ever served to me from a carnivore. The sweet potato fries were crisp! Not soggy! They were the texture of a more solid fry(this is important). I do wish the burger "patty" was a little smaller, and here's why: it's really mushy. It was splooshing out all over my hand around the bun and lettuce. Not pretty. I looked like I was making sculptures with the thing. Overall good space, good service, good food. Ummm... so this place is awesome. I typically avoid Greater Portland's brewpubs. Because, I don't know, they kind of all seem the same: it's where you go for beer and chicken fingers if you don't want to go to a chain restaurant. Now, I understand that this sentence is a gross mass generalization, but that was my thinking. See that word "was"? My friends and I came to Sebago after several days of intense volunteerism. We were tired. We were indecisive. We just needed a space where we could relax and spread out. This ended up being the PERFECT place to do that - our server was accommodating, friendly, and on top of every little thing without ever seeming invasive! Now... **On The Subject Of Drinks** Beer's not really my thing right now, so I asked if they could make me an "extra dirty - absolutely filthy if possible - vodka martini straight-up" (I admit, I played with the idea of drinking it on the rocks, but I recently read somewhere that only octogenarian men do this, so I temporarily held off...). The server came back with a huge martini glass and said, "the bartender drinks her martinis the same way and was impressed - you're a girl who knows what you like!" Now I don't know if the latter part of this statement is true, but it made me feel pretty awesome since I just started drinking martinis about a month ago. Anyway... the drink was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious (perfect balance of vermouth, vodka, and olive juice - how come I can never replicate this at home?). It was so good, I ordered a second (admittedly: I dumped this one into my plastic glass of ice and drank it through a straw - no shame here, because it was delicious). And the best part? I was only charged for two vodkas... at $5.50 a piece (a whopping $11 total for two of the best martinis I've ever had) this makes it one of the best deals in all of Maine. All. Of. Maine. **On The Subject of Food** The food was also really, really delicious. Again - something I wasn't expecting, since I haven't eaten at a brewpub in years (hard to do so when you're a vegetarian) - so I was delightfully surprised. The jumbo pretzels (which come in a trio with IPA Mustard) were... yeah, jumbo. They were also warm, doughy, perfectly salty, and totally the ideal bar food. The spinach and artichoke dip was something I could see myself eating with a spoon with late at night while binge watching something horrible on Netflix. Meaning it was perfection in a crock. Cheesy, melty, gooey, flavorful, and the toasted pita was the perfect delivery vessel to my mouth (though I wish there had been maybe one or two more pieces, because we still had quite a bit of dip leftover). Spinach and artichoke dip is spinach and artichoke dip everywhere... right? Wrong.
