Scallops in Lobster Sauce! That is 90% of what you need to know about this place. The Scallops in Lobster Sauce is the best dang dish I've eaten all year. I don't know what kind of witchcraft they use to make those little babies so tender and sweet and buttery, and that creamy lobster sauce so absolutely irresistible, and I don't think it's my right to know. But they are a gift from the humble kitchen of 390 Main Street and I will praise them as I should! Ok - if you need to know more... We tried this place for the first time yesterday and upon taking a seat at the bar, I thought it felt a bit dive-y and really not sure what to expect. The staff is nice enough. There's definitely a good-old-boys-club vibe here. The menu is paper and looooong. But! One bite of those scallops and I totally got it. I understood the whole place and while it's not fine dining, it fits the price point and the promise of excellent seafood. We also tried the clam cakes - tasty, super crispy exterior and tender inside. Tasty tartar to accompany. The coconut shrimp was fun and sweet and crispy. It was recommended to us to return for the seafood chowder which I'm very excited for! Its a cute little spot worth the visit for the food alone.

We have a camp in maine at USM and then after the camp we go eat lobster here usually 3-4 people and its is amazing! This time we had 3 people and we all had the "twin lobster" which is 2 lobster (one is posted below). The food and service was amazing and the food came fast my brother didn't know how to eat to the waitress helped him! The ambiance is extreme nice!

This is the wall the table was attached to.. it was filthy. I did bring it to the waitresses attention so it can be cleaned

There is a lot to choose from on the menu. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The food was ok. My photo is of the wall next to the table.. it was filthy and I did bring it to the waitresses attention . It makes me wonder how clean the kitchen is. Just saying. I won't be back , there's too many other great seafood restaurants around.

Good steak with 8 dry green beans and potato.

Good Maine food, salad bar, solid drinks, and friendly staff service. The bar area is a great spot for local hangouts with lots of monitors for sports broadcast and is almost always full - while the restaurant maintains a family atmosphere. Favorite spot for the older local crowd as well. Good food, decent price. Tonight we had seafood: braised scallop Caesar salad and bake stuffed salmon. Both very flavorful and delicious. Friendly staff and local folks abound. If you're in town and are looking for a good home-style dinner or lunch ... THIS is the place!

Steamers - A blue ceramic plate contains steamed clams with open shells, showing the cooked meat inside. The shells are varied in size and color, with some shells having darkened tips. Small pieces of chopped herbs are sprinkled around the clams, and the plate is placed on a surface with a blurred background. The presentation suggests a seafood dish, likely served at a restaurant or casual dining setting.

Food was fantastic. Staff was great. Lobster Mac and cheese was amazing. Highly recommend them for great food at a good price.

We booked a reservation and mentioned it being an anniversary for reasoning and they had a note at our table when we got sat down. It was a great little touch service wise that we appreciated. Which service wise our server was extremely friendly and explained specials and checked on us the right amount. Food and drink wise we started off with some cocktails to kick off our celebrating. My wife got the Blueberries & Bubbly which was blueberry infused Tito's and Prosecco with lemon and basil simple. It was a tasty drink, while I got their Strawberry-Jalapeño Margarita that was decent. It was quite strong booze wise and had a good strawberry flavor but lacked the heat I expected and had more of a pepper vegetal flavor. I would likely grab a different drink next time. We also got complimentary bread with olive oil, it was good. Then appetizer wise we wanted their Tomato & Basil Bruschetta that was fantastic! Lastly entree wise we were both wanting some pasta and settled on my wife getting Rigatoni Bolognese and me Gnocchi Mac & Cheese. The bolognese had a hearty sauce with a lot of depth of flavor thanks to beef and sausage and smoked bacon. The entree size was perfect amount for my wife. My gnocchi mac had a lot of crispy pork belly that was the second star of the dish after the well cooked gnocchi. I would say I'm not the average person portion wise so my words may not speak for many but I do wish the entree size portion for my dish was larger. Then to finish of our night we grabbed their peach and blueberry crisp for dessert. It was tasty with vanilla ice cream served beside it but both my wife and I wished it had more crumble or crisp to it. Overall though great dinner and we will keep this spot in mind for future meals. Worth checking out if you want a nice meal close to Portland but not in Portland.

At…read morefirst, I was put off by the atrocious parking, but what else could I expect in down town? This place definitely gives "butcher" and "market" vibes, which was expected. Indoor seating was lacking, and the menu wasn't huge...but trust me, the variety was just enough to satisfy just about anyone. I ordered the smash burger, which was messy, greasy and absolutely fantastic. I got the turkey club for my kids to split (and this thing was HUGE) they didn't finish it . My wife got the Cesar wrap, and she was beyond happy with it. She even brought half back home with us. I strangely suggest going on a nice day and sitting outside, it was wonderful. (Pro-tip; if going during peak lunch, expect a wait on the food. We went into Azul Tequila and got an appetizer to go so we could eat this while waiting for our sandwiches. Honestly, it's the best of both worlds)

Ahh, the sign of a butchers cleaver. I am not sure what this provokes in most people, but as I've…read moresaid before, Stephen King gives me the heebie-jeebies. So for me, the butcher cleaver represents something tasty--except for when the shmuckabaloos haven't a clue what they are doing. Fortunately, this tasty little joint, Miller's Market up in Gorham, Maine, knows what they're doing! I'd been cruising the highways, riding the coast of Vacationland for some time now, and somehow, someway, ventured a bit further inland. Once I saw the burnt-orange cleaver in the window, I knew I'd have to give it a try and see if these hullabaloos knew what they were doing. I was greeted with a "Hey, how you'rrrr doin'?" The soft, rolling extension on the r made me feel right at home in Maine. Jeezum crow, you Mainers speak funny. But by golly, you are a lovable bunch of hillbilly farmers and fisherfolk. Anywho, I ordered myself a chicken Caesar wrap--wanting to feel nourished, but not to the point of comatose. Salad in a wrap--a genius way to feel healthy. Mind over matter. "Hand-cut fries or hand-cut chips?" the counter guy asked me. Now, I love a fry, but I'm feeling crunchy in these overcast late-April days. I hesitate, and somehow this mind reader behind the counter could sense it. "I can see you want the chips, but you gotta try these fries. Why don't I give you a little of both?" he says to me. Now I'm looking at him cockeyed--just another Mainer who seems to be able to read a man's soul. Well, I am here now--no turning back. And then my eyes widen when I spot a tasty crème soda in the fridge next to the register. My lucky day. Crème soda--the most underrated of all sodas. What's not to love? Creamy and poppy all in the same bottle. This guy seems nice, and I am in no rush, so I say, "Hey, throw it on my tab. I'm going to be a while. After I eat, I'm going to write something!" I pull up a spot without paying and know that there's no expectation to do so--at least not right away. Good ol' Maine courtesy, as good as this blueberry Jalapeño salsa from Pemberton partners, which I can apparently purchase at Millers Market, where it just ain't sangys it's home goodies too. I open up my futuristic-typewriter and get to work on my latest novel, but can't seem to find a single word. I glance at the menu--buffalo chicken pesto sandwich. Hard tellin', not knowin'. Mainers--brilliant folk when it comes to food. Pesto and buffalo sauce! Never had it, but I need it. That's bound to be tasty--as warm buttah' on lobstah. "Hi, I'll take my butter with lobster, please."--how it should be ordered. Dee-EEE --licious. You Mainers are shaking your heads right now, pesto and buffalo is probably a common thing round these parts, from ya? Nope I ain't and the rest of the country is far behind on the trend of the buffalo/pesto combo, I can promise you that. Then my food is brought out to me. It looks tasty--but the fries have me skeptical.... Find out how it all turned out at https://ryanccurtis.com/blog/timeless-fries-at-millers-market/n19c63

I called ahead to see if they would put us on the wait list over the phone. They would not. We arrived, and it was a cold day, and luckily they have space inside, with some benches and chairs, to sit while you wait. There is no host taking names. It is seat yourself in the honor system...meaning...you must pay attention to what party arrived before you, and then watch for open tables or bar stools, and seat yourself at the appropriate time without cutting other parties who were there before yours. Since this is a bit uncommon, I can see how this might cause some anxiety for people...I was thinking...will others cut in front of my party? We were a party if 3 and 3 bar stools opened up so we decide to sit at the bar. The whole restaurant definitely has a "bar/tavern" kind of ambiance to it. It does not feel like a "diner". It has a great vibe...very relaxed, neighborhood kind of a feel. The menu includes both breakfast items and lunch items...which was perfect for our party. The menu has several classic southern dishes like country fried steak with sausage gravy, chicken and pork waffles with a choice of maple syrups, and biscuits and gravy. The menu also has traditional breakfast items like egg sandwiches, and other such items. The menu includes classic brunch cocktails, a selection of beers, and several mocktails. I tried the chicken and waffles with the hot maple syrup. It was perfect. The fried chicken was crisp and in smaller size pieces which I liked. The waffles were crisp on the outside and soft on the insides, and the best part was the syrup...it was spicy and sweet and perfect! My friend tried the country fried steak with sausage gravy and biscuits. It was delicious! It was classic in every way...white gravy, but tender steak, nice biscuits. My other friend tried the steak tip sandwich. The blue pig sauce on it was delicious (very savory), and the peppers and onions were chopped into small pieces...but the steak tips were not cut up...which made it difficult to bite through the steak tips. I would have cut up the steak tips and put them back into the sandwich...but it wasn't my sandwich. The sandwich came with spiced curly fries. The fries were VERY good. The service was friendly and fast. We will definitely go back.

Chips were warm and salsa was good. After we ordered, the food came out quick - shockingly so. Both my chicken tamale and Chile relleno were smothered in this amazing red sauce with nice chile flavor. The relleno had a very satisfying cheese pull and reminded me of what I used to get in Southern California. The chicken in the tamale was a little dry, but I used the red sauce to solve that problem real quick. The dish that I was a little disappointed in was the birria taco - the consomme was very oily and didn't have that depth of flavor that you expect from this dish. There also wasn't nearly enough cheese. The braised beef inside was very very tender and tasty, though. The Pollo Sinaloense - a thinly pounded and breaded chicken breast topped with chorizo and cheese - was unique and delicious, and nicely balanced with a little salad and Spanish rice.
