What a hidden gem! Relaxing rustic atmosphere, great breakfast menu selections, attentive/friendly service & affordable prices....what else can you ask for! My wife and I shared a Dublin Omelette with home fries and rye toast...oh yeah some tasty Bloody Marys too! The corn beef was awesome with portions like you would get on St Patty's Day. For our 1st visit, I give this diner 5 stars and we will certainly be back for breakfast again & probably lunch too. Enjoy!

Biscuit and gravy. Eggs Benedict and corn beef hash.

The breakfast here is filling and delicious. I had the biscuits and gravy and it was pure comfort food. The wife always gets the friends w benefits, errrr eggs benedict and said that they were done perfectly. We also ordered the corn beef to split and it was very succulent. The service was ok and the place definitely needs a host. The seat yourself policy is good for buffets, but not here. Everyone that is waiting for a table is intently staring at you to leave. It completely ruins the ambiance of the place. We had two breakfast entree's and a side of hash with two coffee's and our total was 63.24.

Delish! Grab a seat at the bar or at one of the tables and you won't be disappointed. The waitstaff is friendly and moves people through the restaurant in a timely fashion. The food is farm fresh and savory. Sure to delight your crowd young or old. Don't be alarmed by the line out the door as it is one of the only (and best) breakfast stops in the area.

Amazing brunch spot in Gorham. It can get busy and you just wait in line and get a seat at an open table. No hostess or a place to put your name which is a little different but we just had to wait about 10 Minutes. They have a big inside so the tables flip pretty fast. I had an omelette and it was really good, they seem to have lots of different options and the food was great. They also have specials. I will be back!

First off, this place is amazing. It has taken so long to go here because they are always slammed! There is always a wait. Today we were able to get in!! Our wait was about 15 min. Once a table is clean you seat yourself. Our waitress was prompt, attentive and super friendly. I like to ask staff what their favorite dish is.. she was quick to respond biscuits and gravy... so that is what I ordered. I added it with friend chicken and had my eggs scrambled. it was delicious and very filling! My friend had the crab cake Benny and she said it was delicious! Now let's talk Mimosas! So many flavors to choose from! I started with a tropical Mimosa. It was perfect reminded me of a sunny tropical vacation which was perfect since we had just recovered from a winter storm over the weekend. Then I had their cheesecake Mimosa! Not bad! Out of the two. Tropical was my favorite! Look forward to returning!

The menu at blue pig has some fairy unusual combinations of choices. I was looking for something on the healthy end, so I ended up with the veggie Benedict. The vegetables were good and the eggs cooked to perfection. I liked the grilled English muffin and asked for an extra... That cost me three dollars. although the food is good in my opinion, it's over priced for the amount you get. The music is very loud country music so I took in my AirPods to block it out a bit. (I was alone.). The building is on the street corner downtown, so passing trucks, add extra volume of noise. I think I'd like everything a little quieter... The staff is very friendly and attentive. But $21 for a veggie Bene and an English muffins is pretty steep, IMO.

I am visiting Maine this weekend and found this great place to eat. The blue pig has a very taste bacon and makes a mouth watering breakfast. It is definitely an experience for anyone who is looking to start the day right. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The piggy pictures all around would make you smile.

I've only been to the blue pig once a few years ago and couldn't remember much but enjoyed a breakfast here on a Sunday morning. Seating was painless, the directions leading us to choose any empty/clean table, and we got a nice spot next to the window. The menu is simple with breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. Few staff were masked. The order came out in just 15 or so minutes and I ordered the pastrami Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly and the pastrami, while slightly salty, was not too bad -- they certainly did not skimp. My friend however, ordered some waffles with her regular breakfast with two eggs and those looked a bit light and had a very bland taste, taking the medal for least impressive item on our table. By 9-10ish, there was a line out the door and no empty tables so while we didn't feel rushed, I wouldn't expect to come here and be able to sit around after your meal for too long on the weekends.

    Chicken Benedict........Amazing!!!

We stopped into the diner for breakfast and I wanted to try something different so I tried the fried chicken Benedict. Wow! It was an amazing breakfast. The chicken was crispy and was over a slice of ham and cheese, topped with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce, oh yeah, can't forget the grilled English muffins.

Shit on a Shingle - gourmet version!
    Kim L.

Two of our friends are definite devotees of The Blue Pig, and we finally were able to join them! What a find! The Bloody Mary's were excellent and the food - wow. Wayne enjoyed the "shit on a shingle" (not sure they call it that on the menu, but you know what we mean!) It was like a gourmet version - to quote Wayne "this isn't what my mom made!". I had, again, Eggs Benedict and the preparation was superb. The hollandaise was not too heavy and not too dense - perfect! As were the home fries. We'll definitely be back.

I never noticed this secret tasty haven tucked in the corner of what I always called the Goodwill plaza amongst the busy Gorham hustle and bustle. I even caught a glimpse of a quick hug shared amongst the staff- letting me know that this establishment was serving just as much love as they were tasty treats. Now me? I tend to go for darker areas, low dim lighting. But this naturally lit space still declared a cozy aura- with the browns, reds, blacks, and subtle pops of color. It wasn't rude, but it also didn't feel especially inviting or friendly. For food, I ordered two Southwestern breakfast sandwich, and honestly, it was really good. The flavors were balanced well, and the egg didn't overpower the sandwich. You could actually taste all the ingredients together, which I appreciated. Even though I didn't try the coffee, the sandwich itself was definitely the highlight of the visit for me. Overall, the food was enjoyable and the cafe was clean, but the atmosphere and customer service didn't really give that cozy hometown cafe feeling that welcomes everyone in. So for me, the butcher cleaver represents something tasty--except for when the shmuckabaloos haven't a clue what they are doing. Fortunately, this tasty little joint, Miller's Market up in Gorham, Maine, knows what they're doing! I'd been cruising the highways, riding the coast of Vacationland for some time now, and somehow, someway, ventured a bit further inland. Once I saw the burnt-orange cleaver in the window, I knew I'd have to give it a try and see if these hullabaloos knew what they were doing. I was greeted with a "Hey, how you'rrrr doin'?" The soft, rolling extension on the r made me feel right at home in Maine. Jeezum crow, you Mainers speak funny. But by golly, you are a lovable bunch of hillbilly farmers and fisherfolk. Anywho, I ordered myself a chicken Caesar wrap--wanting to feel nourished, but not to the point of comatose. Salad in a wrap--a genius way to feel healthy. Mind over matter. "Hand-cut fries or hand-cut chips?" the counter guy asked me. Now, I love a fry, but I'm feeling crunchy in these overcast late-April days. I hesitate, and somehow this mind reader behind the counter could sense it. "I can see you want the chips, but you gotta try these fries. Why don't I give you a little of both?" he says to me. Now I'm looking at him cockeyed--just another Mainer who seems to be able to read a man's soul. Well, I am here now--no turning back. And then my eyes widen when I spot a tasty crème soda in the fridge next to the register. My lucky day. Crème soda--the most underrated of all sodas. What's not to love? Creamy and poppy all in the same bottle. This guy seems nice, and I am in no rush, so I say, "Hey, throw it on my tab. I'm going to be a while. After I eat, I'm going to write something!" I pull up a spot without paying and know that there's no expectation to do so--at least not right away. Good ol' Maine courtesy, as good as this blueberry Jalapeño salsa from Pemberton partners, which I can apparently purchase at Millers Market, where it just ain't sangys it's home goodies too. I open up my futuristic-typewriter and get to work on my latest novel, but can't seem to find a single word. I glance at the menu--buffalo chicken pesto sandwich. Hard tellin', not knowin'. Mainers--brilliant folk when it comes to food. Pesto and buffalo sauce! Never had it, but I need it. That's bound to be tasty--as warm buttah' on lobstah. "Hi, I'll take my butter with lobster, please."--how it should be ordered. Dee-EEE --licious. You Mainers are shaking your heads right now, pesto and buffalo is probably a common thing round these parts, from ya? Nope I ain't and the rest of the country is far behind on the trend of the buffalo/pesto combo, I can promise you that. Then my food is brought out to me. It looks tasty--but the fries have me skeptical.... Find out how it all turned out at https://ryanccurtis.com/blog/timeless-fries-at-millers-market/n19c63
