Delicious food and a huge selection for breakfast. We stopped here finally after being told about this place two years ago. The portions are big, so we shared the belly buster for breakfast and added hash browns. We selected the Belgian waffle and it was perfectly cooked. This was by far one of the best breakfast we have enjoyed in a while. The fresh brewed coffee was also delicious. We will definitely cow back when we visit again. read more

Super duper breakfast spot! There were 20-25 people waiting in line when we arrived. We were told it would be a 15min wait, but we were seated in only five minutes. If this place is THAT busy on a Wednesday morning, the rumors may be true. The waitress had coffee on our table as soon as we were seated & took our order. Even being as busty as they were, our meals were on the table in 6-7mins. My Greek omelet was as big as a burrito! It was excellent, as were the home fries & toast. Our party of 4 arrived on a busy Friday, lunch time, but the staff got us seated quickly and drinks (coffee, iced teas, waters) were brought out super fast. Two of us have been eating here for years - as well as ADB prior - so we know the menu and what the food is like. I strayed away from my usuals (eggs benny or the Ruben) and tried the Monte Cristo since I could not pick between sweet and savory on this day. Our food arrived quickly - and two of us in my party noticed a big difference in the homefries (soggy and tasted "off") and sure enough, when we asked they have changed the recipe. This change was not for the better. My sandwich was just ok, I won't order this again. I will stick with my usuals and sub out homefries. First time here. Right off the highway. Cute ambience. Bar inside. We had a great breakfast. The regular home fries had perfect consistency but lacked flavor. I had to add salt and some ketchup. Easy fix by adding salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the kitchen when cooking. My secret is using sazon seasoning mix. Overall, great place to visit. Serves lunch and breakfast. Has a parking lot. We have always been a fan of what was All-Day Breakfast and is now Valerie's Scratch Kitchen. Their updated location is a serious upgrade! The atmosphere is relaxed yet fresh with polished white subway tiles, mixed wood, and warm, friendly colors. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and other staff. Our waitress was great- just the right balance of personality and service. The real star, my friends, is the FOOD. We are fans of breakfast sandwiches and the breakfast panini did NOT disappoint! The sourdough bread serves as the perfect complement to fresh eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat (crispy bacon for hubby, ham for me). The blueberry pancake was absolutely the perfect mix of sweet and savory- and literally took up a whole plate! The portions are substantial. I had high expectations when bringing the family for breakfast this morning. A lot of people have told me Valerie's is great and I needed to try it. This morning was very busy, as expected. I brought my mother, wife and 2 kids and have to say I was quite impressed. To start, they were quick to seat us even with a full house and we didn't have to wait long for drinks and appetizers. (The cider donut balls were a huge hit with my 3yo) [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the atmosphere! Homie, and tastefully decorated making it feel like a nice breakfast spot, yet had plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the special, (apple waffles of some sort) and they were great. My wife got the regular waffles, and noted they were slightly dry however she doesn't use syrup so I take that criticism with a grain of salt . Valerie's kitchen is right off the highway and it was a perfect stop for breakfast! There were three little tables outdoors, perfect as we had our little puppy. The service was rather slow, however it was very crowded. We ordered several dishes to share, including the homemade corned beef hash. I am a sucker for homemade corned beef hash! And my egg white Greek omelette with spinach, tomato, onion and feta was amazing! Huge portion of spinach, which I love! This restaurant definitely hit the spot! read more

Valarie's is a win almost every single time. The only complaint that most people have, is that the place is a bit of an ice box. It's the same crew from All Day Breakfast down in Biddeford. They moved to the spot they are now near the Walmart a few years ago. Their menu is one of the best in Biddeford, and we keep going back, all the time, all the time!! And we will keep going back. There's almost always a wait any given day of the week, and that's for good reason. The inside is newly renovated and has barn chic decor and some unique paintings with various farm animals sitting around a kitchen table with the sign "eat" in between. It's quaint and sweet and the servers and staff are always delightful, efficient and flow well together. It's a restaurant trifecta for sure!! Great food! Great Service! Great Setting !!! read more

Valerie's is one of my favorite places for a great breakfast. Lots of choices on the menu, great pancakes, real maple syrup, good coffee. Sorry to say, I was a little disappointed today. I've become GF, so no pancakes but a Greek omelette with home fries, and sausages. The home fries were barely warm, as were the sausages. The omelette was supposed to have tomatoes in it, there were just 3 small chunks, only discovered with the last 3 bites. Perhaps there is a new cook. It was not too busy, as it was 10 am on a Thursday. Maybe just an off day. The staff is phenomenal, extremely friendly and prompt with more coffee. Very disappointed in our breakfast regarding the home fries. This wasn't the first occurrence. We thought prior it was just an incident. The home fries taste more like a potato diced and warmed up. First time we ever experienced home fries cooked as such. Usually they're fried and don't taste like a baked potato or boiled warmed up after dining. The servers are great as well as nice restaurant. Just we were three and all had the same experience with our order of home fries. Our first visit was this past holiday weekend and, while very busy, service was amazing and the food was ON POINT. We were a party of 5 and everyone got a different breakfast and everyone was 100% pleased with their meal. From waffles to eggs (various ways) to pancakes, home fries, sausage, bacon - all were delicious! We are looking forward to going back. A few things: First the waiter. At the very beginning of our order, I asked if we could split the bill into two checks between the two sets of couples. He said that was fine. At the end of the meal, he gave us one check, said he could split 50/50 but would not split it any other way. Which would've been fine had he expressed right when I asked, since he clearly knew what I meant. He was also very rude to a boy at the table behind us saying "come on Buddy, I don't have time for this, you need to make a choice". Which, I get being frustrated that you're busy, but there's an appropriate way to handle that situation. And mind you, he wasn't there for more than two minutes to take that order. Then the food. I ordered a monte cristo and the French toast was basically bread pudding, it was soggy and undercooked to the point where it was inedible so I only ate the ham and cheese on the inside. My wife got an omelet and there were eggshells in it. We didn't return the food or say anything about it because it wasn't worth it, but all of that together, we just won't be returning. Stopped in today for lunch while in the area for business. I've passed this spot many times and this was the first opportunity I had to pop in. I was greeted with a warm friendly smile and sat at the counter/bar. The ambiance is very welcoming, sort of comfort farmhouse style. Service was very attentive. I could tell that most patrons were locals/regulars. The staff knew everyone by name. I got the chicken pesto panini. It came out on sourdough with side of seasoned fries. Everything was delicious and was enough for 2 meals (I took half home). Seriously couldn't be happier and then the bill...omg...it was very reasonable! Sadly, the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered the corned beef hash Benedict which is my go to at most diners/brunch joints. They gave the option to do canned corned beef or house made with a $5 up charge. I went for the house made and not only did they barely put any hash on it, the meet was under seasoned and the eggs were over cooked(not runny at all but not completely hard boiled kind of like a failed attempt to soft boil). The hollandaise was broken and slightly sweet which threw me off. The home fries were well cooked but did not have any seasoning so I put plenty of Tabasco on them. My girlfriend got the Greek omelette which came with home fries and a plethora of toast options (we chose marble)--the omelette was lackluster but not bad. They put an excessive amount of whole kalamata olives in it which my partner described as "weird and overpowering ". The best thing out of the two dishes was the toast with butter. read more
