Expectations were medium, Mulligan's output was high! The price to food quality is hard to match. My $9 burger would be $16 in Portland. The burger patty was thick, the sear on it was perfect and the taste was great. Drinks, food and service all hit a 5/5. Not a destination if you "summer in Maine" but it's a delightful neighborhood spot. read more

This place is great. Decent food for a good price. Will go back here when I'm in the area.

Don't be fooled by the usual low prices online. NO MORE. The quality of the food is the same but all prices have more than doubled! Really! That $5.99 steak is now $13.99! Sadly Mulligans is now just a memory for me. I noticed there was no effort to update the online prices so people would be forewarned. read more

Good food nice people. I think the music upstairs is repulsive and loud and it's makes people uncomfortable and want to leave down stairs. That's unfortunate. We've left numbers of time cause of up stairs. We'll be back, but not if the music continues up stairs. Giving a star rating for the service, bartenders, and wait staff. read more

Comfort Food! Good quality good price! My honey and I were feeling tired, cold and lazy to make dinner so we figured we would give Mulligans a try. I got the cup of chowder which ended up being more of a bowl which was a great surprise and added bonus because I was freezing and wanting something warm and delicious to take away the cold and icky feeling that comes with a long day at work and prolonged winter/cold rainy weather. I also got their Shepard's pie special and again was shocked at the portion.... Food coma settling in as I type this. My beau ordered the chicken quesadilla with veggies and the clam cakes. Heads up they no longer buy their clam cakes so you will get 2 (not 3 like it says on the menu) homemade big clam cakes. They tasted quite good. He finished his meal with cheesecake with strawberries and that was great (she said having stolen a few nibbles when he wasn't looking). I got the Mississippi mud cake to go, because I would be rolling out of the pub if I tried to eat anything else. That will be a late night treat or breakfast tomorrow morning! Will update this review once I get the courage and stomach space to try it!! UPDATE: (the next day)... so I managed to not have it for breakfast but it served as my afternoon pick me up... yeh it was gone in 2 minutes.... So moist and light and delicious! Mulligans is now my favorite local spot. read more

If you're looking to order Oysters Rockefeller or Creme Brulee then you'll be very disappointed. Dis' ain't da place fo' dat. However, if you want great bar food, friendly service and an eclectic selection of drink specials then this is the place for you. Also has a room with four billiard tables. Neatly decorated with fun pictures and artwork. Only drawback is that parking can sometimes be a problem. Very cheap prices for food. One of the best bargains in town. read more

I would give it a 5 for service, prices and selection. We all asked for something altered with our dinners and they came out exactly as asked. The 6 in my party said the food was OK or good - so 3.5. In particular, the sweet potato fries (special that night) and onion rings were really good. My husband's fried fish was a big disappointment to him. He said it was hard (vs tender and flakey, which is how he likes it). I had steak and cheese and it was good. We had a comfortable table and could hear each other talk, but gets bonus points since it was a pub kind of place. read more

WOW! I am so disappointed. I have met my brother every week or two at Mulligans in Biddeford. Great food for 1980's prices, NOBODY could beat it. A hamburger platter a couple weeks ago for $8.99!!! Today it was $15.99, WHATTT????!! A seasonal cocktail, OK, I expected it to be $7 or $8, NOT TODAY, $11.99!!!! Crazy prices now, like every other restaurant! This was a 'blue collar' place, where everyday workers could get a quick lunch and a beer for a great price. Not anymore! Prediction: Mulligans will be out of business before the end of 2025, and NO, that nice hotel across the street will NOT it keep it in business. What a loss for Biddeford!! I guess the son can always sell his Dad's property and move on. What a shame. read more

the food isn't the best around, however the pricing, & customer service certainly are. the food however, is not bad by any means! just more your classic home comfort cooking, esp good for college kids in the area who miss home meals. they have a great selection of rotating specials like the Shepard pie on Tuesdays! Bonus tip, ask for curly fries! Not listed on the menu, but are offered! read more

We had big expectations and were very let down. We ordered fish and chips and draught beer. The beer wasn't cold. The fish was previously frozen and had a slight fishy taste. It looked and tasted like something out of the grocery store frozen foods department. The fries were similar to what you would get at Friendlys or Denny's. The ketchup wasn't Heinz and had an odd taste. There was no cole slaw. Our server was very nice but not familiar with the menu, thinking a new hire that received little training. It took a long time to get someone to bring us our check. The prices were very good, we wished the food were better. We really wanted this to be good. read more

Seeing less than stellar reviews for Mulligans confuses me. It's consistently stayed as one of the most affordable restaurants in town. Cheap drinks and great food. I had the best cheeseburger soup of my life here as a special. The grilled chicken with a variety of sauces to choose from is delicious. I always add the peppers and onions on top. The mashed and gravy is great too. I know that there are probably some items that some consider subpar, but I honestly haven't had one yet. I really, genuinely love Mulligans. read more

Was standing at the door for 10 minutes before anyone even came over to us. Once seated took another 10 minutes for the server to ask what we wanted for a drink and another 5 before we got our drinks. Enviroments alright but wouldnt come here expecting quick service. read more

My grandfather used to have a saying about certain restaurants he liked. They all had one common thread- "Good food, cheap"! Well, Mulligan's is top of that list! My husband and I spent $40 (not including tip) on two drinks each and dinner: The portions are ample, and the amount of options for just good old comfort food are aplenty. If you're looking for decent comfort food, good service, and more than reasonable prices, this is a great place to take the family without breaking the bank! read more

Great food. Great clientele. Great service. Order the pulled pork sandwich. You won't be disappointed. We loved this place. It's everything you need for a solid place to eat good bar food in a relaxing environment. The waitress was so nice and accommodating to us with children. Service was 10/10. I mean it's bar food but sometimes that all you need in life. Bar food satisfies the soul. read more

Local flavor. Fresh fish. Friendly atmosphere. DAMN good prices. 5 stars. My family has been coming here since the '90s and I always liked it when we headed here, but didn't realize the gem it was until my husband and I moved up here in February. The food is consistently good...and when I say good, I mean GET THE FISH AND CHIPS cuz damn, they're good. So are the onion rings, goodness gracious. Everything is fresh, hot and precisely seasoned. It's a great place to bring friends from out of town, too - because they'll immediately feel like a local and the prices cannot be beat. I love that right on the menus they let you know that their prices are built out to be incredibly low, to to the point where they don't do take out. They literally suggest for you to support other local businesses if you're looking for takeout because their menu isn't priced to support that type of business. I know there was a bit of an uproar when they recently increased prices by $1 per item, which I think is silly - as you can still get a HUGE haddock sandwich at lunch with a FULL plate of fries and tartar sauce for $5.50. That's freaking unheard of! The atmosphere is dope, too. A chill bar, brick interior and gorgeous signage from local businesses which are either no longer in business or have upgraded to newer signage. It's a great homage to the hardworking locals which frequent this great spot. We're proud to now call ourselves locals, and will continue to support Mulligans with our dollars. read more

Disappointed. Ordered the new fried chicken sandwich, and this is what I got. Saw the prices and figured I should give it a shot. The chicken sandwich was grilled. We had been there for an hour and a half without getting our food. Wouldn't recommend. Fried chicken sandwich was comparable to McDonalds. Love this place. A staple of Biddeford. Great food, Great people. I just have one question. How is it possible....that you don't have pickles. No Pickles. No pickles. Not even pickled onions. What's going on here. I feel a conspiracy against tanginess in this establishment. Again, love the food, but don't want to have to bring purse pickles. Thank you. read more

Been eating here for 20 years and it stays the best value for a quality meal, large portion, and friendly service. Thank you all.

You certainly cannot beat the prices here. I needed a quick lunch and decided to swing on by and give it a try. This may have been faster than a fast food restaurant but with better quality of course. I went with their chicken fried steak and right up my alley! It is a little hole in the wall and when driving up or by it looks like it may be closed. Do not worry, it is not. read more

Mulligan's has become a regular lunch spot for me when I'm eating with other people and the reasons are price and consistency. If I go on Wednesday, I'll probably get the pasta & meatballs special for $2.50. That's not a typo, it's enough lunch to fill me up for less than three dollars. Other times I'll decide that money is no object and spend less than $5 for the chicken parm, pulled pork sandwich, or the Friday fish special. They also have locally brewed beer for the Banded Horn brewery, just a few blocks away. I've been to Mulligan's for dinner a few times and it's the same menu and prices. But the lunch crowd seems a little more festive and that's what I know the best. As for the quality of the food, it's better than you'd think from the prices. I'm not a fan of the ribs and the prime rib isn't going to make you think you're in Ruth's Chris, but I've found a number of things that I think they do well and I wouldn't hesitate to eat there at least once or twice a week. Service is also good and the place seems reasonably clean. The atmosphere is sort of like that of a big bar/restaurant that wants to be busy before the bar crowd shows up. I don't know if that's really true but it describes the decor and the feel of the place. I don't know if there's much here for vegetarians, you'd have to ask. If you're a local, you've probably been to Mulligans. If you're a tourist in the area wondering where to go for lunch on a rainy day, you'll want to try Mulligan's. read more
