Not bad for 2 people!
Raven Fan V.

Comfort Food! Good quality good price! My honey and I were feeling tired, cold and lazy to make dinner so we figured we would give Mulligans a try. I got the cup of chowder which ended up being more of a bowl which was a great surprise and added bonus because I was freezing and wanting something warm and delicious to take away the cold and icky feeling that comes with a long day at work and prolonged winter/cold rainy weather. I also got their Shepard's pie special and again was shocked at the portion.... Food coma settling in as I type this. My beau ordered the chicken quesadilla with veggies and the clam cakes. Heads up they no longer buy their clam cakes so you will get 2 (not 3 like it says on the menu) homemade big clam cakes. They tasted quite good. He finished his meal with cheesecake with strawberries and that was great (she said having stolen a few nibbles when he wasn't looking). I got the Mississippi mud cake to go, because I would be rolling out of the pub if I tried to eat anything else. That will be a late night treat or breakfast tomorrow morning! Will update this review once I get the courage and stomach space to try it!! UPDATE: (the next day)... so I managed to not have it for breakfast but it served as my afternoon pick me up... yeh it was gone in 2 minutes.... So moist and light and delicious! Mulligans is now my favorite local spot.

Billiard Room

If you're looking to order Oysters Rockefeller or Creme Brulee then you'll be very disappointed. Dis' ain't da place fo' dat. However, if you want great bar food, friendly service and an eclectic selection of drink specials then this is the place for you. Also has a room with four billiard tables. Neatly decorated with fun pictures and artwork. Only drawback is that parking can sometimes be a problem. Very cheap prices for food. One of the best bargains in town.

All this for $5.50? Yep.

The bread is out of this world and is perfect for making french toast. The bread is challah bread from a local bakery. Every component of this french toast is perfect. The outside of the bread has a nice crust while the inside is warm and custardy but not too soggy. The butter and syrup are really good as well and they do not skimp. Bacon - 10/10 It is possibly the best bacon I have ever had. It might have been it was cooked to perfection that day or we were just at the right place at the right time. To me this is saying a lot because we all eat and have had a ton of bacon in our lives. I mean of course the bacon was good but it's not that simple. It was crispy while parts of it were still tender with a great chew. It also had a great smoke flavor. Most bacons say, "smoked." This bacon actually had a smokey flavor with wasn't artificial and paired so well with the coffee and sweet breakfast items. Pancakes - 9.4 The cook and tenderness of the pancake was fantastic. Again, the butter they serve is great and pairs well with the pancakes. The only hang up we had is the pancakes have a lemon flavor we weren't expecting. It didn't ruin the pancake however, we wished the lemon flavor wasn't there. Coffee - 10/10 The coffee is ground second prior to being brewed. It's not just your typical diner or breakfast spot coffee. Outside of a drink containing espresso, this was maybe the best cup of coffee we had at a restaurant. There was something different about this coffee as well. Maybe the atmosphere, the service, the weather and the food actually being amazing contributed to how great everything was. This place will definitely be added to the top 15-20 places I have visited so far.

Everything we had was delicious and the service was a good balance of a hustling diner staff that takes time when needed to remain friendly and personable. I still don't know how they kept the large piece of fried chicken as juicy as they did... I'll be baffled by that for a long time.

My favorite part is that it still feels part of the mill system while having an updated aesthetic. It doesn't feel out of place - it feels right IN place. I normally come here to have a beer or two with a friend & catch up when I'm in the area, I enjoy their beers & they usually have one or two new drinkable things kicking around on their menu - I have yet to try a beer I haven't enjoyed. They have a fairly decent menu but I typically stick to pretty common mainstays - I've never had a bad experience. Service is always friendly & attentive.

We had to park at the lot near the mill buildings and water and walk a pretty good distance to get to the restaurant but I guess I could use a few steps. Walked in it was very loud where they wanted to seat us under the canopy where there were some unruly bar patrons so they brought us to a quieter area. We sat for a long while before being greeted by our server. But we still wanted to give it a shot. We ordered poutine with portobello mushrooms and the three tables around us got their full meals before we got our appetizer. Then, she took our main course order and like the app, the food took forever and we are usually very patient. The server was super nice but just was very slow and the fries in the poutine were cold. The main course was a root salad that my wife thought was pretty good with turnips and vinaigrette. I had clam chowder and calamari/shrimp dish ... I paid almost 20 bucks for the calamari and got about 5 pieces and 4 small shrimp and the chowder had no flavor. We then asked for a box to put her salad in and the waitress forgot. Until she realized as she was dropping off the check. I don't think we will be back .. maybe just for the outdoor patio ambiance but, not the food.

The pictures of the pizza don't do it justice…read more My Wife and I love tomato pie. We are always looking for pizza spots with a tomato pie when we're traveling. This is the second best tomato pie we have ever had. I know the crust looks burnt, it was overdone. However, everything else about this tomato pie was superb. The flavor and freshness of the tomatoes were excellent. The consistency and natural sweetness of tomatoes with the seasonings they use was a great combo. I would suggest getting the tomato pie. We really wanted to try a cheese pie however, we didn't have the room and Peng's only served whole pizzas. The caesar salad was really fresh and the amount of cheese they serve atop should be appreciated by anyone who visits. It was a really nice accompaniment to the pizza. Miso and brown butter chocolate chip cookie! I think that says enough. The cookie was really good with crunchy edges and a chewy middle. I wish they would have heated it up in the oven prior to serving it. Maybe they would upon request, not sure. We ordered the pizza in person, we didn't call ahead. The pizza was cooked to order and we were served within minutes. The service wasn't just fast but the guy working behind the counter was friendly. We spoke to him for minutes during our meal about where we were from and local things to see and tryout .

We were able to park right out front of the store front. Before we got off of the Pike, we ordered 2 pizzas.....one cheese and one veggie. When my wife was finished ordering and before she was told how long it would be before pick-up, the clerk told her the total price ($53.22). When I heard the price, I almost went off the road but I would find out later that it was well worth every cent! I went in to watch the process, which I love to do. It was a pretty busy Sat evening, for sure. Only one size of pizza....all large. Pizza orders of 8, 4 and 5 were pumping out the kitchen! Three workers and one register clerk made up the staff. There are 4 small tables and chairs if you want to eat-in, as well. When our order finally came out, I was a bit hesitant. I am a fan of lightly cooked and no bubbles. The pizza, when it was being cut, looked charred up a bit and had a bubble or two. As I walked to the car, I was not very confident that things would turn out the way they did. When we each started to eat the pizza, we were both thrilled with everything.....crust, cheese, overall taste and cook-style! The veggie was "delicious" and the cheese pizza was in the Louie's class (Woburn, MA). Boy, were we happy! The price was a little high but very well worth it. You get what you pay for! Soda: no Pepsi/no Coke (see pic) Parking: on Main Street...seemed easy Price: a little high...but worth it Ambience: nice little spot Will I be back?: When in Biddeford....sure Stars: 5 (I took a bunch of pictures...but it is a long story)
