Another nice spot tucked into the mill area. Space for a quiet night or a nook with friends or family. They have bar snacks with some vegan options. Celiacs beware as a shared fryer. Staff friendly and knowledgeable about their product. Try a sample before you decide

Fun brewery in the Pepperell Mill. Good pub food options and a wide assortment of brews. Ciders, wines, and sodas available for non-beer drinkers. They seem focused on local and Maine-sourced ingredients. It's a large space with some games and a mix of seating options, including an outdoor patio. The Mill has a few other breweries and restaurants to check out as well, making for a fun afternoon, especially on a rainy day!

    Damn good beer.

A great brewery with actually damn good food as well. My current favorite is the Daikaju--- yum!! Always get a six pack of it to go, so refreshing. Tons of places to sit and always fun events going on.

We had friends from out of town and had their dog, so gathering with a group of 7 plus a dog and two kids was a a challenge. BB has a great outdoor seating area which accommodated our group. The kids played corn hole and the dog laid in the corner. And of course we found plenty of food options for the group. Plus the local brews and non-alcoholic beverages. It was a great afternoon. Though I imagined when the sun is high that space might get a little hot. The bricks were hot when we first arrived but it cooled off for a perfect early evening setting.

Located in the Biddeford Pepperell Mill, very cool area..with walkable bridges over a water way. This is the first brewery in Biddeford... cool. Our group of four got a table inside, there are some outdoor seating but it was way to cold out for that. Because of covid restrictions we had a server come take our orders. I started out with a flight of miltown, ace, trip and daik. All were very tasty, I ordered a pint of ace after finishing my flight. They did Ofer a few food items, we stuck to just drinks. Bathrooms were interesting, they have to in the taproom. One is a dog themed and one is a cat themed. Lots to checkout in both. There's a small merchandise area with all the normal stuff... tshirts, sweatshirts, hats and glasses. More importantly, there is beer to go.

Update to 5 stars! Food is so good! beers on point. Delicious! 10/10 recommend. I live the ambience here. Relaxing and a good way to wind down after a long week of work.

If you are gonna brew beer in southern Maine you really need to shine... my flight was sub-par and my nachos were burnt . The Charms and Hexes was good. "Here Ale" and Pepperell wasn't good ...

Located in a spacious wing of the historic and huge Laconia Mill in the Biddeford (& Saco), Maine. The former Mill now host to a wide array of business and budding entrepreneurs. I'd say Banded Horn Brewing has transformed from Budding to Business. Their space is part industrial museum with a fun and whimsical atmosphere. Featuring arcade pinball and electronic game machines, ping-pong, and a corn hole pit outside off their sipping deck. We played some pinball, but my Tommy Dazes a were far gone. The sipping deck is an interior courtyard of the Mill lined with tall narrow windows for natural light and ventilation during the Mill Days. I ordered a flight of four 5 ounce'rs to best sample their large line-up of ales and lagers AND not stagger out with Uber Ma. Ma & I actually shared a variety of their the IPA'S (Veridian, Daikaiju, and Smokey and the Banded) and "Eldir" a Smoked Malt Rauchbier. All a pleasant variety of flavors and bloom. Even the smokey malt; at first sip heavy flavor that subsided quickly into a smooth Bier. The staff were fun to chat with and learn more about their craft and the process. Cans? A canning line wasn't obvious, so I asked... ...and, Yes, they actively can every week in another wing and there's a cooler at the Tasting/Filler Counter.

I came here with a friend for a couple drinks before dinner a few weeks back. I had been here several years before, but walking into this space recently, it is completely different than I remembered! Several years ago when I came here, it was very small, the bar was right when you entered, and there was one table to sit at. Fast forward to now, completely different bar, and for the better! The bar is on the far end of the space after you walk in, there are several tall beer kettles on the left as you walk in, several tables in the middle of the space, and board games, arcade games, and a super nintendo hooked up to your right. They had about 7-8 different beer options on tap, and I opted for the Charms & Hexes (sour ale with nectarines and strawberries), and I fell in love. One of the best sours I've had from a local brewery! My friend and I opted to spend some time outside on their outdoor patio. They have cornhole set up outside during the summer and fall months, and several tables set up on the patio for your seating pleasure. I really enjoyed my time here and I will definitely be back to try more of their brews!

I stopped by here this past Saturday with my wife for some afternoon drinks. Banded Brewing is located in an old warehouse which is cool unto itself. As I was walking down the hall to get there I could hear table tennis being played and as I walked in I could see the table. Besides that they had a row of pinball machines and some other shooter style video games. As I was walking out I also noticed an area that had SNES on a huge TV and then they had a bunch of merchandise for sale too. There was a bar as well as ample seating and they had giant windows along one whole side so that you could see their brewing equipment. Just in case that wasn't cool enough they also have an outdoor seating area with cornhole, a deck and string lights that is in the courtyard of the old factory. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Banded Brewing a flight consists of 4 beers of your choosing and I went with the Greenwarden (spruce tip ale), Charms & Hexes (sour beer with Maine blueberries), Veridian (IPA) and Daikaiju (DIPA). The first beer I tried was the Greenwarden which had some of that piney flavor near the finish. It's a nice and clean beer although the more I drank of it, the less likely I think I would be to order it again. Up second was Charms & Hexes and you definitely get the punch of sour right from the start and it continues through the finish. I enjoyed it but found myself trying to find the promised Maine blueberries. Third was Veridian which was a juicy ipa with large amounts of citrus in the beginning and then some hops at the finish but not too much. Last but certainly not least was Daikaiju which was a seriously smooth ipa that really hid its 8.7% alcohol well. The only part that really let me know it's a strong IPA was at the end of the finish where I got a huge hoppy flavor. Out of the bunch I would have to say that the Veridian and Daikaiju were my favorite two. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Banded Brewing has a really cool space with lots to do and their beers are good too!

Located in an old warehouse with a fun casual vibe. Great place to hang with friends and play some games, and good beer to boot! Greenwarden replaces the atoms hops with Maine spruce tips, and that undertone of evergreen is noticeable - would be awesome around a campfire! I am all for a good porter, though, and this one - norweld - does not disappoint. Rich, dark and creamy. You can smell the notes of chocolate. I may have found my Guinness replacement! Enjoy the Ride! Biker

Not my favorite beer and like most breweries lately, they are just drinking halls. I miss when these places were more intimate.

The two met in elementary school and have been friends ever since. After turning 21, Schofield received a homebrewing kit from his father and started homebrewing. In 2003, he got a job working as the assistant brewer at Federal Jack's brewpub in Kennebunkport. Later, Schofield was hired as the lead brewing consultant for the design and development of the Railroad Seafood Station Restaurant and Brewpub. Meanwhile, Mills worked in the hospitality industry and managed a number of bars and restaurants. He developed a reputation for pairing food, wine, and beer selections with his customers' tastes, interests, and budgets. Mills even opened his own high-end retail wine company. Finally the two friends decided to collaborate and open their own brewery. They opened their modest brewery in the basement of a law office. Unlike other breweries, 100% of Barreled Souls' beer undergoes primary fermentation in oak barrels as opposed to stainless steel tanks. This fermentation system is based off of the Burton Union system, which was a method of fermenting beer developed in England in the 1800's. Although they have a relatively small operation, Barreled Souls has earned a reputation for producing some of the best beers in Maine. I visited Barreled Souls with my older son this summer while my I was spending the week in Maine with my family. Barreled Souls had been on my brewery bucket list for a while. I was surprised to see what a small operation they were, but that was fine with me as I usually prefer smaller breweries. I initially ordered a taster flight which featured "Purple Rain" (Fruited Sour), "No Clean Cups" (Double IPA), "The Mind Flayer" (Imperial Stout), and "Knob Creek Extended BA Nebula" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine). Every single beer that I sampled was fantastic! The brewery also has their own food truck dubbed "Barreled Souls Burger". I enjoyed their delicious "Bold Brunch" (quarter pound patty topped w/ hash browns, bacon, cheddar cheese & a fried egg) while my son enjoyed the "Tachos" (loaded cheesy tots topped w/ taco beef, jalapeños, onions, black olives, served w/ sour cream & salsa). I was so impressed with the beer that I ordered a second flight that featured "Speakeasy Red Sangria" (Red Wine Barrel-Aged Gose), "The Pineapple Upside Down" (Triple New England IPA), "Vecna" (Imperial Fruited Sour), and "Banana Bread at Work Dude" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine; collab w/ Abomination Brewing). I was equally impressed with these beers, and I love all of the "Stranger Things" references in the beer names. Before leaving, I purchased a bottle of "Strawberry Jam Stay Puft" (Imperial Stout) to take home. I had an excellent experience at Barreled Souls and I highly recommend them to all serious craft beer aficionados!

My wife is more of an avid reader than I am so she enjoyed the book aspect more. They have a large menu of offerings drink wise with everything you'd expect from a coffee shop. I do wish they did a rotating seasonal special drink menu, as places usually have one or more great sounding drinks on those. Both my wife and I settled on an iced blueberry latte. Overall it had hints of blueberry and tasted more like milk than anything. Would not be rushing back for it specifically that's for sure. Food wise they have some in-house baked goods as well as bagels from Rose Foods and corssiants from Little Spruce Baking. My wife got a plain bagel with cream cheese while I grabbed a chocolate croissant. I did mess up by not requesting it be warmed up but it was still delicious! Will be finding more spots that have goodies from Little Spruce. The bagel was also tasty. Book wise my wife enjoyed browsing but did not find any books she needed to grab. She did enjoy reading a couple chapters of her current book while we sat by the large windows (good spot for world watching outside). We enjoyed our visit but have other spots we would be happier to visit again.

For what? I have no idea -- there was no live music or anything like that during the hour we spent there. As for the drinks, the beer was... fine. I had the IPA, and while I didn't love it, I'd probably drink it again. The highlight was the pizza. It was phenomenal and made up for some of the other lows.
