Server greeted us with a friendly welcome and seated us right away. Our server came over and asked if we have ever been here before. We explained this was our first time and she went through the history of the brewery, the types of drinks we can order and the day's specials. My wife order her drink and a cauliflower steak with broccoli. I order their equivalent of a black and tan and pierogis with bratwurst. All were delicious. Beautiful open air dining and pleasant music playing. Czech inspired lagers and menu. We will be back.

Friendly staff, great beer, food, and community events... what's there not to love?! Every time I go to Sacred Profane, I love it more than the last time. They have perfected the art of Czech beer. Although they only have a light and a dark lager -- with a few variations of each, by adding more foam, mixing them, etc -- they really have mastered these two beers. Less is more at Sacred Profane, and you can tell the team behind the magic has focused on quality over quantity. The venue itself is one of my favorites. It's cozy and welcoming, with outdoor seating during the warmer months. The staff is always so amicable and helpful. If you're a beer drinker, you have to visit Sacred Profane. I can't wait for the Portland location!

Such a cool brewery in Biddeford. We were at a nearby brewery, Lucky Pigeon and the staff recommended we stop here and try their beer and get a Allen's and milk. We walked over and absolutely loved the great vibe at this welcoming industrial brewery. A few large communal tables inside, seating outside with open garage doors... beautiful day with a warm breeze to complement the cold beer. Shiny copper lukr tabs hanging above the bar for their two beers, pale and a dark larger. I started with their pale larger, full mug with three fingers of foam... so delicious and rich with flavor. Tried their Allen's and milk... dark foam and a shot of ACB... wow a mug of pure joy. These lovely people know exactly what they are doing! Staff was so cool and welcoming, their motto is cold larger and warm hearts and it fits perfectly! Love their values and their beer. Brewer Brienne was so nice and talked with us. Also enjoyed a shot ... great birthday celebration. I am such a fan of this place, that the following day we stopped back for more beer and a few cases to take back to NY. This is a must stop whenever we are in town!

Pretzel with smoked gouda cheese dip and mustard.

They don't have a lot of beers but what they have the do very well. The Czech Pils and Dark are incredible and served the way they were meant to be. The pretzel was one of the best we ever had and the smoked gouda cheese dip was amazing.Highly recommend a stop of yours in the area

I was in the area for work, and looking for a quick drink between meetings. I actually saw Sacred Profane on Instagram and was really excited to try it out! This little spot packs a big punch. Their beer selection is awesome (they are all seriously good) and I love the signature foam on each one. Don't sleep on their snacks - they are top notch! We tried the pimento cheese dip and fries and loved them both. The service was great, and the windows were open as it was a gorgeous day out. I can't wait to come back again next time I am in the area!

This place is absolutely adorable! It's going to be an awesome addition to the up and coming trendy Biddeford. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day and as we were seated we were told, the food outside is not the same as inside. We could only order snacks and nothing more. Very strange since the whole wall is open to the outside so it's basically the outside. Our waitress greeted us and asked our order, not offering any information about the restaurant or brewery or asking if we'd been there before. I asked for a quick rundown since I was from out of town and wanted to make sure we ordered the best locally made items. I'd recommend this place to anyone who asked, but I'd also recommend that they serve the entire menu to the entire restaurant.

Good vibes, average food, creamy beers. The crab Rangoons on special were off in flavor but the pimento dip was decent. The beers were dreamy and creamy goodness.

The beers are delicious. Full stop. The pale lager is the perfect beer. I could drink it forever and ever. I love the aesthetics of the brewery. Very clean look. We ate before we got there, not knowing they have food. We did stay a while and got the Spinach and artichoke dip, it was awesome. The rest of the food menu looked good too. As for beers on draft they only have 2 beers. Pale and dark lagers. But to be honest, that's all they need. They had a few canned beers as well as a few wine options, so it's not just for lager lovers. I'd the brewery was any closer to my house than a 4 hour drive and a ferry ride, I'd probably be going here every weekend.

Visited and was so happy to find a parking spot right out front! They also had a lot of open seats until we left, then it was slammed. The downstairs is small and filled up really fast. Both lagers are very good, I suggest trying both. They did not have food which was disappointing because we were very hungry. However the beers held us over! The staff was all super friendly, chatty and welcoming. It had a very nice neighborhood joint vibe. I will definitely return and look forward to the food menu debut.

Barreled Souls Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Saco, Maine in July 2014. It was founded…read moreby childhood friends Chris Schofield and Matthew Mills. The two met in elementary school and have been friends ever since. After turning 21, Schofield received a homebrewing kit from his father and started homebrewing. In 2003, he got a job working as the assistant brewer at Federal Jack's brewpub in Kennebunkport. Later, Schofield was hired as the lead brewing consultant for the design and development of the Railroad Seafood Station Restaurant and Brewpub. Meanwhile, Mills worked in the hospitality industry and managed a number of bars and restaurants. He developed a reputation for pairing food, wine, and beer selections with his customers' tastes, interests, and budgets. Mills even opened his own high-end retail wine company. Finally the two friends decided to collaborate and open their own brewery. They opened their modest brewery in the basement of a law office. Unlike other breweries, 100% of Barreled Souls' beer undergoes primary fermentation in oak barrels as opposed to stainless steel tanks. This fermentation system is based off of the Burton Union system, which was a method of fermenting beer developed in England in the 1800's. Although they have a relatively small operation, Barreled Souls has earned a reputation for producing some of the best beers in Maine. I visited Barreled Souls with my older son this summer while my I was spending the week in Maine with my family. Barreled Souls had been on my brewery bucket list for a while. I was surprised to see what a small operation they were, but that was fine with me as I usually prefer smaller breweries. I initially ordered a taster flight which featured "Purple Rain" (Fruited Sour), "No Clean Cups" (Double IPA), "The Mind Flayer" (Imperial Stout), and "Knob Creek Extended BA Nebula" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine). Every single beer that I sampled was fantastic! The brewery also has their own food truck dubbed "Barreled Souls Burger". I enjoyed their delicious "Bold Brunch" (quarter pound patty topped w/ hash browns, bacon, cheddar cheese & a fried egg) while my son enjoyed the "Tachos" (loaded cheesy tots topped w/ taco beef, jalapeños, onions, black olives, served w/ sour cream & salsa). I was so impressed with the beer that I ordered a second flight that featured "Speakeasy Red Sangria" (Red Wine Barrel-Aged Gose), "The Pineapple Upside Down" (Triple New England IPA), "Vecna" (Imperial Fruited Sour), and "Banana Bread at Work Dude" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Barleywine; collab w/ Abomination Brewing). I was equally impressed with these beers, and I love all of the "Stranger Things" references in the beer names. Before leaving, I purchased a bottle of "Strawberry Jam Stay Puft" (Imperial Stout) to take home. I had an excellent experience at Barreled Souls and I highly recommend them to all serious craft beer aficionados!

This morning, my wife and I finally planned to go check out their space for the first time. What more could you truly ask for than a cafe/coffee shop meets bookstore meets beer bar! My wife is more of an avid reader than I am so she enjoyed the book aspect more. They have a large menu of offerings drink wise with everything you'd expect from a coffee shop. I do wish they did a rotating seasonal special drink menu, as places usually have one or more great sounding drinks on those. Both my wife and I settled on an iced blueberry latte. Overall it had hints of blueberry and tasted more like milk than anything. Would not be rushing back for it specifically that's for sure. Food wise they have some in-house baked goods as well as bagels from Rose Foods and corssiants from Little Spruce Baking. My wife got a plain bagel with cream cheese while I grabbed a chocolate croissant. I did mess up by not requesting it be warmed up but it was still delicious! Will be finding more spots that have goodies from Little Spruce. The bagel was also tasty. Book wise my wife enjoyed browsing but did not find any books she needed to grab. She did enjoy reading a couple chapters of her current book while we sat by the large windows (good spot for world watching outside). We enjoyed our visit but have other spots we would be happier to visit again.

Important to note: they allow dogs. And while we LOVE dogs (we couldn't resist petting the ones running around), I can see how this policy might not be for everyone. For what? I have no idea -- there was no live music or anything like that during the hour we spent there. As for the drinks, the beer was... fine. I had the IPA, and while I didn't love it, I'd probably drink it again. The highlight was the pizza. It was phenomenal and made up for some of the other lows.
