Citra DDH Oh-J from Lone Pine Brewing.

Delved into Lone Pine Brewing once again specifically at this location. This time out Steve and I had the Citra DDH Oh-J which is a double IPA. This was a pretty good one to be sure. It had the flavor features of citrus, juicy, hoppy and orange. It was also what you could call mouthcoating as you drink it which enhances the "big" flavor with this particular IPA. An enjoyable experience trying out this brewery's beer once again!

Great place to hang and chill over Lone Pine beers and food! I stopped by the outdoor Lone Pine Brewing Beer Garden recently for beer and plenty of food located just north of the busier OOB area on East Grand Ave across from Brown St. The Beer Garden offers outdoor patio and picnic table seating, a beer & food stand offering 8 Lone Pine Brewery beers on tap, a few canned wines & cocktails plus this location offers food too. The food offerings include 4 kinds of lobster rolls, beer garden hot dogs, crab melts, salads, chowder, kettle chips, and uncrustables PB&J for the kids. I ordered the Time & Temp American Lager ($7 plus tax for 16 oz), a Crab Melt Basket ($17 plus tax) and a Kimchi Dogs Basket ($12 plus tax). My food was ready in about 10 minutes after ordering, they sent me a text when to pickup my food. The portions of food were a good amount and each of the baskets included crunchy salted kettle potato chips. The Crab Melt had a soft crab salad on buttered toast bread with Gouda, gruyere, & fontina cheese sauce for dipping. The 2 Kimchi Dogs were topped with spiced kimchi and Sriracha aioli sauce on thick toasted New England style hot dog buns. The crunchy kettle chips and the food were great with my beer. Overall, a great chill vibe here on a very warm sunny spring afternoon. After eating, I took a quick walk to the beach across the street.

The pizza was awesome and the flight of IPAs was tasty. The Blackberry Basil smash was one of the best cocktails I've ever had. We didn't go outside on the deck due to weather but it looks accommodating and definitely a place to visit.

Holy wow! The Lemon & Dill Lobster Roll was the best I ever had. The flavor was amazing. Nothing overpowering, just right. The chips were a little over cooked. My husband had hot dogs. He said they were ok (he wasn't expecting red dogs). The drinks were just ok. I'd definitely come back for the lobster roll.

I have been going to the Portland location since they opened and am very excited for their new location just steps from my favorite beach. Very nice facility with a big outside area and a beautiful tasting room. And of course they have my favorite beer. Portland Pale Ale, on tap and to go! This place also has some of the best pizza in town. The pepperoni pie is amazing!

Amazing atmosphere. Cider in front of the fire on a chilly OOB evening. The portion of chowder was very generous.

There's something telling about a place the moment you walk in, and here, it isn't subtle. You're…read moremet with the lingering scent of beer soaked into the floor from nights that were clearly busier than anyone could properly manage. Now, most people would interpret that as neglect. But that's not quite right. It's evidence. Evidence that this is a place that has been tested, repeatedly, and continues to operate under pressure. And strangely enough, that inspires a certain confidence. You know, almost immediately, the drinks are going to be done properly. I ordered something simple. chicken fingers with buffalo sauce and bleu cheese. Nothing remarkable, and that's precisely the point. They weren't trying to reinvent anything. They were just... competent. And competence, especially in an environment that borders on chaos, is not trivial. It's reliability. It's order, holding its ground. The service reflected that same tension. Reese, the bartender, was clearly under strain. busy to the point where most people would start to fracture, but she didn't. She held the line. And if you've spent enough time in this industry, you know that's not easy to do. There's something almost admirable about watching someone maintain composure when everything around them is loud, demanding, and slightly out of control. And that's really the essence of the place. It's loud... almost aggressively so. Packed. Borderline unruly. At one point, there was a couple engaged in what was clearly a volatile argument... infidelity, perhaps? but the noise swallowed the details. It didn't matter. The specifics were irrelevant. What you were witnessing was raw human behavior, unfiltered, playing out in real time. And oddly enough, it fit perfectly. This is not a place for quiet reflection or carefully structured conversation. It's a place where order and chaos collide and neither one fully wins. But if you're the kind of person who can tolerate that, or even enjoy it... there's something undeniably compelling about it. If you want quiet, look elsewhere. But if you're willing to step into something louder, messier, and far more alive, then this place offers exactly that. It's not refined. It's not restrained. It's something closer to a modern day bacchanal. And for better or worse, that's the point.

They offer live music and it's perfect for watching Thursday fireworks. I've been to this places many times over the years. They have indoor seating but outdoor on the deck is definitely best if you're here for the beach + sun vibes! I've had their lobster alfredo as well as a lobster dinner, and they have a full bar available. Cocktails are tasty/sweet but probably on the weaker side, and definitely overpriced. Service is pretty standard - assuming a lot of seasonal staff just back for the peak months. I went most recently over the 4th of July weekend and enjoyed another evening on the pier with my sister.
