I wish this was closer to Portland. Then again, I don't wish that at all, as the snobby city-folk would probably destroy the charm of this place. It is a relaxed and unassuming vibe. Everyone seemed to be locals/regulars. The fish market is on the left side, and the dining area on the right. They let me know to just sit anywhere, and yes, they do table service. The haddock sandwich is outstanding. The fish was fresh, of quality, and still moist. The bun is nothing to scoff at, as they use quality bread from a proper bakery and not a factory. It makes a difference! Pay with cash and get a whopping 4% discount.

Oyster were amazing! We also ordered the Haddock, Coconut shrimp, and clam chowder. Overall 10/10

Amazing! 10/10 Great food, service, and ambience. Best part were the raw oysters. Would visit again

We ventured out in the cold to take Wayne's dad out for haddock. The menu options are quite extensive, and lots of combinations available. The fried haddock & shrimp were super fresh, lightly breaded and a generous portion. The fries were good, the onion rings and clam cake seemed like frozen - would probably not order again. On the way out we noticed the pre-packaged stuff - so will look more at that next time. Service was friendly & efficient. I thought the use of plastic utensils seemed a bit off, and the place was chilly, but will go again.

Everything. Food was terrible. They were out of almost every beer on the menu. I would not recommend this place to anybody.

I've had several items on the menu . This time I had the haddock sandwich with coleslaw and a cup of clam chowder. The chowder is thick , creamy and delicious. She ordered the clam basket with fries and coleslaw for the paltry sum of $38.00. Seriously? What are the clams made of? Gold? Diamonds? She also had dessert. Cheesecake for $9.00. In my opinion, these prices are "highway robbery". I've lived in Windham for years, and because Bob's is the only seafood restaurant in town, they get away with charging "tourist prices". 10-05-24 Review Remember the seminal television series "Cheers," where everyone knows your name, and they're always glad you came? That's a complete 180 in contrast to Bob's. They couldn't care less about who you are and why you're there. My server tonight was Haley. Her focus was on taking selfies of herself and being coy with the boys. As her customer, she shows zero interest. It was like she couldn't wait for her shift to end. That said, Bob's fare is mediocre and overpriced. I won't be back. Two thumbs down.

It's a very casual spot, so it's an excellent spot for a midday treat. The oyster list is very extensive, and it's hard to pick. But the staff are able to make excellent recommendations. When in doubt, just ask! They brought us 3 different species that were excellent. 5/5. The brown butter lobster roll was the star of the show. The only issue I had with it was that the actual roll (not the lobster) seemed a little undercooked. So it was a bit gooey. But not too gooey that the dish wasn't enjoyable. I wish it was a little bigger given the price as compared to other local lobster rolls. Still was delicious. A solid 4/5.

We sat at the bar and got to see all the action and it was quite a performance to watch all the oysters getting shucked. The sauces (horseradish ice and red onion ice in particular) really amplified the flavor of the various oysters and really helped make it a great experience. We got there pretty early but still had a bit of a wait but I'd say it was worth it. We also had a lobster roll which was different from what you're used to but it was good. The team working there was on top of things and I imagine during high season this place must be absolutely nuts. Definitely worth a visit.

Let's start with the cocktails, because they truly deserve top billing. I always order the seasonal espresso martini, and somehow it just keeps getting better. Whoever is behind that bar knows exactly what they're doing. The fish and chips? You cannot go wrong. Perfectly crisp batter, flaky fish, and fries that hold their own. It's one of those dishes you order once and then find yourself thinking about days later. That said, everything we've tried over multiple visits has been consistently excellent. It's the kind of menu where you feel safe branching out because you know it's going to deliver. The space itself adds to the whole experience. The architecture is beautiful, with warm wood tones and big windows that bring in natural light and make the river views part of the meal.
