This place is right across the street from where I live. Guess it's time I review them I've patronized Fishermen's Catch a couple of times, mostly because it's convenient. They offer their lobster rolls on special at least once a year for a few days so that is what I wait for. Lobster rolls are pretty good but could use a tad more flavor. They used to be $35 but now it's $38. Would I pay that for a lobster roll with chips? I think not. I brought my mom here on a separate occasion and she did enjoy her steamed lobster. That time I got their haddock sandwich which came with a side of fries. The fries were crispy and tasty. Service is usually pretty quick even when there is a little bit of a line. They only have outside dining which could get hectic because it is off of 302. Overall, they do a solid job but they are on the expensive side. read more

Great little side of the road stop for a tourist like me who wanted to get a lobster roll while visiting Maine. I picked it mainly because it was on our driving route but was pleasantly surprised by the super nice staff and the good food. They have the main patio, where we were able to sit because we had stopped for a late lunch around 2:30 PM. They also had a tent across the parking lot with several picnic tables to accommodate during busy times. I can't speak to the authenticity of the lobster roll since I'm an out-of-towner, but I was very pleased with my buttered lobster roll and clam strips. After I saw the lobster rolls on Yelp, I had to come here. They have both a seafood shop and full restaurant menu with all the classic Maine seafood. We tried the classic lobster roll, the lemon, the fried scallops, fried whole belly clams, and clam strips. Everything was amazing - but what really stood out to me were the fried scallops! They were the best I've ever had. A super light, crisp, crum fry that was really firmly stuck to the scallop (which is hard because scallops are very wet). So impressive. And obviously we have to mention the lobster rolls. I really like how they have classic variations of the roll on the menu. It was the biggest lobster roll I've ever gotten, and for $22 it was a steal. Also, weirdly I'm mentioning the fries but they were an awesome thin battered wedge. If you're visiting Maine or live in Windham, it's definitely an excellent representation of Maine seafood and I recommend checking it out! read more

The perfect amount of seasoning to go with the generous portion of tender lobster on a warm, buttery bun. Fries - I was expecting basic frozen fries but was pleasantly surprised to receive fresh, hand cut fries that were crispy and perfectly salted. Fried pickles - these were good but a bit heavy. It's been a while since I was able to return, and the lobster roll is still great, but it didn't seem to have enough seasoning or something this time. I'm not sure if anything has actually changed, but I didn't find myself enjoying it quite as much as I did the last few times I was here. Got a classic roll, lobster had minimal flavor and 2 separate bites (beginning of roll and mid roll) had large sharp pieces of shell on it. It's a walk up window so the service was fine. Seating is outside and on this particular day the covered area was perfect! And it was so full of goodness that Neptune himself would approve. There was even a hunk of lobster in there that was about half a claw. The flavor was amazing!!! Lobster roll was just average. It was a lobster roll, nothing special about it. The roll could have been buttered and toasted but I didn't notice if it was. The fried shrimp and haddock were cooked perfectly. This is my current favorite local lobster roll spot. If you're visiting Maine and need your seafood fix, this is a really good option. They have several ways of personalizing how you get your 'roll and I broke tradition for the lemon pepper last time. It felt like sacrilege but was transformative. I now also dress my chicken salad in the same way. The other seafood here is also excellent. The clam rolls etc are fresh and light. This was one of the BEST lobster roll anywhere ever....big fluffy beautiful roll perfectly buttered and grilled...unbelievably fresh lobster...and just the right amount of Mayo. Grabbed lunch at Fishermen's Catch on Friday afternoon. Tried two styles of Lobster Roll and was disappointed with each. I also felt the prices were far too high. Quality: Ordered two different types of Single Lobster Rolls at Fishermen's Catch. We did The Classic with lobster meat tossed in light mayo and The Buttered served with warm butter and no mayo. I tend to prefer the warm option for Lobster Rolls, but while the butter was warm, the roll was still served cold. I think The Classic option, which at least embraced the cold style was the better of the two, but I was not impressed with either. They were both stuffed in bread that felt a little stale and the texture of lobster was just not that good. I think it may have been too much claw meat, which I honestly thought would be better, but it was a goopy mess. Quantity: While there was a fair amount of lobster on the Single Lobster Roll, it messed up the proportions and was on a smaller sized roll. Value: $27 for a Single Lobster Roll. Ambiance: Fishermen's Catch is located in the small town of Raymond, Maine. They have a small market at the back of the building and then an ordering window area in the front. Two picnic tables sat near the ordering area, which was helpful for the long wait. On the other side of the parking lot they have a massive tent, with additional picnic tables and heating lamps. On a shockingly cold July afternoon, the fire was very necessary. Crowd: A few other customers strolled in as we were waiting, however that was more a result of the slow service than a testament to the popularity. Service: There were not many other guests and we had a relatively simple order, but it took nearly half-an-hour. Not a place you should visit if you are in a rush. We were house hunting in Maine, didn't find anything that fit, but ate some seafood, while we were near the coast. We had 2 hot buttered lobster rolls. There is parklike outdoor picnic tables. The lobster rolls were huge, like double what you get from some places. They give you so much butter on the side too. I did have some pieces of shell, but it happens sometimes. Lobster was broken up more than some places. The area to the north of here is super beautiful. I was though shocked to see so many NY and NJ people in Maine. Maine was super busy with tourism. Yes it was summer, but more so, it is the super rich from the Maritime states, having a summer of recreation, as thy bought there 2nd, 3rd, or 4th home in Northern New England. I hope they don't try to make our states like the ones they left! I always find it funny how many people complain about seafood being pricey!
