We went to see one of our favorite Bands play. This place is deceptively huge! From seating out front, to a spacious bar and inside seating, to an expansive back deck with views of the river, there's something for everyone! The service was prompt and courteous. Our drinks and food all came out at a great pace and the check ins were perfect- and it was a very busy afternoon! The menu is quite diverse with lots to choose from It all was good too! The pizza dough is like Naan bread, which is absolutely delicious! The double pepperoni was curled to perfection and crispy. The salads were huge and fresh! I loved my cobb salad. The balsamic dressing was a great foil for the fresh chicken and bleu cheese. I was full! The mussels were plump and juicy in a good sized broth. While the spot for a band is kind of small, it was a gorgeous day to have the garage door open which helped the band tremendously! We are looking forward to coming back!

We tried Red City Ale House for the first time the other night. It was a Friday evening and the place was very busy, but once the server realized she had our table, the ordering was quick, and the food came out fast. I had an order of wings and opted to split the sauce between buffalo and sweet Thai chili. Both were good, and the wings were crispy. The buffalo wasn't very saucy, but definitely had a good flavor. It came with both ranch and blue cheese dressings that seemed homemade. I paired this with an order of onion rings, which came as a big basket of onion rings, that again seemed homemade. My husband had the Bang Bang shrimp, which were really good! There were several pieces of fried shrimp with a yummy Bang Bang sauce that had just the right amount of kick to it. My husband liked the multiple beer choices. We will definitely be back with our kids, who we think will enjoy the bar type food and atmosphere. We ate inside, but they have glass garage doors that can open up on nice days to a patio area. This is a great place for this area, which definitely needed something like this.

Great new spot! Love finding new local Places! I am not a beer drinker so sorry there will not be an ale review but the food is delicious! We were greeted with a smile and asked our preferences for seating (inside or outside) the gorgeous day led us outside by the river! Staff was welcoming and friendly! Great if you have a group of people!

We enjoyed great service at the Ale House. The beer was cold, service was attentive, and the jukebox a plus!

The bar tender was Devin and she was fantastic! She was going all the things. There seemed to be tons of locals which speaks volumes. The menu is the same as the bowling alley on the first floor. There's something for everyone. We ordered fried pickles which are highly recommended. Then, ordered the bolognese and a burger. Subbed onion rings for the fries and there were tons! Everything was delicious. Burger was fresh and a great portion. Bolognese was also tasty. Impressive flavor and portions for the price! Super reasonable. Great value. Ordered spicy margarita which was great, a lemon martini (get this - amaretto added great flavor), and a Manhattan. Great bar!!! Would go again. Just great vibes, delicious food, great value, and super friendly employees.

Showed up before any sort of rush and snagged two seats at the bar. The overall vibes are great here with lots of interesting decor (lots of movie & horror themed things). The bartender greeted us and was willing to answer any questions we had and immediately got us glasses of water. We then decided on cocktails and she made great tasty drinks to our liking. My wife went with a Daiquiri and had just enough fruity/sweetness with a kick still. I got one of their bourbon drinks and it had a great kick to it. Food wise I ended up getting their Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and it was a delicious sandwich with juicy chicken. My wife got the Jr. Beef and enjoyed it but thought the sauce was a touch spicy (would likely pick another item next time) but very much enjoyed it and finished it still. We split an order of onion rings and they were outstanding, lightly battered but perfectly crispy. Due to sitting at the bar we had fantastic conversations with the bartender who made us feel welcome and provided great service. We talked about our love for animals, Maine and more. Really the perfect example of how the experience of sitting at a bar should be and why you'd return! Give George & Leon's a try if you haven't and if it's been awhile revisit!

The beef was tender, flavorful, and piled just right, with plenty of sauce to make every bite satisfying without being too much. The onion rings were a standout--crispy, golden, and clearly homemade, with great seasoning and a fresh taste you do not get everywhere. This was one of those simple, classic meals done really well. Good portions, great flavor, and exactly the kind of local spot you hope to find when you are in town. I would gladly order this again.

Despite living in Windham for quite a few years now, my wife and I have not visited as many spots…read moreon this side of the town. Due to our location we typically chose Westbrook or Portland. I will also say knowing this is a sports bar like spot I didn't have the highest expectations to begin with. Which I appreciate when a spot surprises me and blows those expectations out of the water. That did not occur here! It was our second choice for dinner tonight due to our first spot having a wait. So firstly for a positive I will say Deck House does have ample parking and lots of space for people to eat so that's a plus. Also if you are looking for a classic sports bar vibes with many tvs on the walls and plenty of bar seats this may be your spot to catch a game with friends. Overall for our experience service was slow, they were friendly it just took a long time for food and other tables received their food much faster after shorter waits. My wife got the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was cooked well and was extremely tender, she enjoyed it very much. I got the Lobster Mac which was good but much smaller than I expected and some lobster pieces were tough due to their large size. Our meals and then two margaritas which were decent were almost $100. We did get some of the more expensive meals off the menu but I do believe for the price we could get better food elsewhere. I'm glad we tried it but nothing would be worth revisiting for. Hopefully if you visit you have a better experience!

Well, we finally made it happen, and we loved it! I seriously can't wait to go back. Located in Windham and next to a go-kart + mini-golfing spot, odds are you've also driven by this restaurant. The views from the deck are spectacular, and I can't wait to go back during the fall foliage season. The indoor space is also lovely -- it feels like a giant cabin! We loved the vibe: it's cozy, lowkey, and casual, which is precisely what we were looking for. The service was excellent from the minute we walked inside. The hostess was accommodating when we asked to sit at a different table (better views!), and our waitress was kind and constantly checking on us. The menu was more extensive than we expected. They have it all -- an impressive starters section, plenty of pub/tavern food, and even dinner plates. They also had a full cocktail menu (all reasonably priced), plenty of local beers, and wines. We had the strawberry margarita with jalapeño-infused tequila ($10), and it was delicious (albeit a bit small for a marg, but it was also only ten bucks). Our burgers ($18) were great, but unfortunately, a bit overcooked. The fries were just okay, nothing to write home about, and portion-wise, smaller than what we expected. We also ordered their four-cheese macaroni as a starter, and that was delicious! Overall, however, we enjoyed our time and can't wait to return!
