His response absolutely. when it came it was soft & pliable the opposite of what I asked for. sent it back again asking for it crispy. 2nd time same as before. Yes I'm aggravated so away goes the taco & I order the happy hour poutine. spectacular dish enough for 4 people to share. the bill comes & I see they charged me $16.00 for the poutine. We have always enjoyed Dunstan Tap and Table but haven't been in a while. We loved our date night dinner outside. The service was prompt and friendly. I liked that the hostess asked if we would prefer a menu or use a QR code. Having both options is important! The outdoor area is small but seats several tables and also has a fire pit. This place is also very kid friendly, as several young families were enjoying dinner as well: The food came out exceptionally fast and was absolutely delicious. The heat on my wings was perfect- a slow burn- and were sauced to perfection. We would recommend this place to anyone looking to have pub style food and a good drink, I only wish they would bring back their fried rice from a few years back- It was amazing! read more

First time we've been to Dunstan tap and table. The restaurant itself is beautiful with lots of space and different areas for seating. We like that there were big windows with lots of light coming in, although at the time we were there, the sun was hitting just right and was in my eyes until it dropped a little lower. Some nice shades at the top of the windows to counteract that would be helpful. Our waiter was helpful and gave us recommendations on the menu, such as the pizza and crispy Japanese chicken karaage wrap. I went with this wrap, and my husband had a sweet hot honey pizza. The wrap was delicious and had a ton of flavor. The chicken thighs were very crispy with a wasabi mayonnaise and Japanese barbecue sauce. Very bold flavors that went well with the chicken and slaw. Best part though were the hand cut fries that were very crispy and well done, which is the way I like them! Only thing that could've made them better is if they offered any sort of seasoning, such as salt and vinegar, truffle Parmesan, etc. for them. The pizza had a nice crust that was not greasy at all. The toppings were good, but not overly plentiful. It was a good solid pizza, but not the best I've had. Stopped here for lunch and first time visiting. Staff were very friendly. The atmosphere is very pleasant and casual. They have a full bar and plenty of seating inside and out. Our food was very good and a couple of us couldn't finish. I tried something new, their Mushroom Turkey Burger and it was very juicy and very tasty. This is a super modern, metal and farmhouse looking restaurant, walking up you a can see its clean and has a great open feeling. There's an outdoor area with a great fire pit. The menu has some interesting options, I would throw in a few standard, less hip choices but all in all a nice selection. We were a large group and be aware they do have restrictions on seating over 8 ppl. However everything we ordered was delicious, I wasn't a fan of the French fries but they can out nice and hot with is something that makes me very happy. 2nd visit 2 weeks ago for lunch on a Sunday. Was surprised that not busier on football day but nice since it was quiet. Sat at a table in the dining room. Service was prompt and friendly. Have to say that the tables need a good cleaning. I'm in the business and know the difference between clean and sanitized; a table can be dirty but be sanitized. It had that sticky, greasy film on it from always being just wiped with sanitizing solution but never being cleaned with soap and hot water. Great glass of sauvignon blanc, my brother had diet coke and water as he just finished s work out at the gym. I ordered a bowl of the clam chowder and we both ordered the beet salad, my brother adding the airline chix breast to his. The chowder was disappointing. It was tepid and the potatoes were still a bit hard. Both of our salads were great. Candy cane striped beets, blue cheese, good vinaigrette. My brother's chicken perfectly cooked. I wanted to talk to a manager about the soup and the table but see anyone on the floor who appeared to be supervising. My 1st visit I did leave a great review as everything was top notch. read more

It's very clean and a bit cold since the ceilings are so high. Service is good, I would probably get an actual menu next time (they use QR codes but you are offered a paper menu by the host). Food was average, it's very large portions. My partner got the chicken sandwich and it was somewhat soggy. I don't know how to reply directly on here to the comment from the owner but they were 100% jalapeños with seeds on my pizza as well as cherry peppers. Now I regret not taking a picture because apparently I am being told I was "mistaken". Our server did ask about allergies but again, jalapeños don't appear as a topping on the pizza so I had no reason to request for them to be omitted. I am thankfully not allergic but adding a topping that does not appear on the menu *could* cause issues for someone with allergies. That was the point of my original comment. I have to say, I am not terribly happy about being told I was mistaken after 2 people verified they were jalapeños. We made a stop at Dunstan Tap and Table after some errands. It's in a great location in Scarborough, right off Route 1. The interior is very open with neat decor, albeit a bit noisy. The staff at the bar took good care of us. The burger and chicken sandwich were okay, but the tots and fries were super amazing, which netted the 4th star. read more

It's amazing how many places there are to eat in greater Portland and we have never been to this place. We had a she's the deal from 10 years ago, thinking it was not going to be applicable to our surprise. They were very much so open and thriving which is on us. Talking to the hostess the have been here for what appeared 20+ years. Great environment plenty of room as we came through on a Friday night. They have an outdoor lounge and seating area with the fire pit Pub grub style food. I got a pizza which was good and my wife, a sandwich which she enjoyed. Went here for dinner before a movie because we were in the area and had wanted to try it. We got there at 5:15 on a Friday and it was already packed! We did get a seat outside but that was the only seat available even at the bar. So make sure to make reservations or expect to wait. I got the bacon Mac and cheese and it was good. My friend got the shrimp tacos and substituted a side salad for the fries which was an extra 4 dollars. I also got a glass of wine which was average. The service was friendly and nice. The chicken tenders were so good. Service was good. For some reason they do not have a menu with the beers on draft; rather they want you to use your phone to view the menu. I find this disappointing. First off not everyone brings their cell phones into restaurants. And second what a way to pull families apart by requiring them to view the full menu on their phone. Making a choice to go out and eat as a family shouldn't have to involve cellphones to view menus at a restaurant. Printed menus in their entirety for patrons to view would be great. This would limit having to go back to the car to grab cellphones. Some people prefer seeing all the details of the beer they are ordering, such as the ounces, alcohol percentage, and type of beer. Getting these details from a waiter or waitress adds complexity to the ordering process. For a gastropub with "Tap" in its name, you'd expect a draft beer menu to be available in print for patrons that prefer to be screen-free, especially if they are seated in a room separate from the bar. read more

Nice casual & relaxing atmosphere inside or at the outside patio area. 2. Friendly/prompt bartenders. 3. Good drinks....Ist round I got the Austin St. Bombtrack DIPA, 2nd round I went with the DT&T Manhattan, while the wife went with a couple Cabernets. 4. Nice draft beer selection...not a fan of Bud or Allagash White but I'm a beer snob. 5. Apps were very good...Fried Brussel Sprouts (huge portion) & the Capricciosa Pizza which was awesome, luv the crust! 6. Although we didn't get the wings, they looked really good as the person we sat next to at the bar attested to. 7. DT&T is probably better than what we experienced, but I feel like it also could have been worse. The fish in the Fish and Chips was good (maybe curry in the batter?), but the fries seemed to have been cooked at least three times and were basically hollow and semi-crunchy. Not good considering the dish has two items. I'm in Scarborough. They should be certain that their fish and chips is on point. Considering the place was half empty I'm not sure how these fries made it out to the dining room. Somehow my wife's fries were slightly better and looked like they came out of a separate batch. ??? My partner and I stopped in for an early lunch - I've been wanting to try this place forever and this was finally the day. When we arrived 11:45am, there were only a couple people there but within a short span of time, the place filled quickly! Everything from retired couples, young people and tradesmen filled in quickly! Soon enough, it was almost a full house. We tried several different she's since we were hungry and several options looked good eat. The menu is not expensive, but offers lots of typical bar/pub style options such as burgers, pizza, sandwiches, etc. What we got: 1. Mussels with chorizo sausage, like and chipotle butter and grilled bread. I was excited for these since I love mussels and these flavors. The mussels were super fresh, big and juicy! A generous portion for sure. The chorizo overwhelmed the dish and it drowned out the other flavors. They were good but we were a bit disappointed. Lots of sauce to dip the bread, but not something we would order again. 2. Clam chowder, this was a winner. Large, whole clams with smoky bacon, potato and house made hot sauce. Obvious that this was house made and not some pre-package "Sysco" product. Great balance of flavors and very filling. We both really enjoyed the chowder. 3. The Wedge Salad. I love salad and this hit the spot. A huge portion with grape tomatoes, crisp bacon, onion strings and blue cheese dressing (my favorite indulgence). I asked for extra blue cheese but it still was lacking, perhaps the server forgot but she did bring more when requested. The dressing was excellent, another house made touch. I loved the addition of the fried onion strings, which balanced out all the flavors and added extra crunch. 4. Fish & Chips WINNER!! Fresh, perfectly cooked fish with a crisp batter and it was not greasy at all. Served with a delish aioli that really compliments the dish. We are definite fans of this high quality restaurant in Scarborough. It is clean and new and fresh and even has an area to play cornhole or sit around a fire outside if that is what you want. The food here in the few times that I have been here is very good and we love the fact that they have plant based burgers to compliment the already fun little menu that they offer. There are a few tv options for those that might want to catch the game but don't expect to be able to hear much if they place is packed .. it gets pretty loud but if you are there during prime time, who wants to watch tv anyway?
