My new favorite in OOB! Small place but loaded with a good time. Indoor and outdoor seating available. No reservations so be ready to wait a bit. Check their website for specials. $1 oysters are a hit. And the prime rib night brings them in. (Not for me). They have a great menu and though there is a bit of a wait for the food, the over all experience is worth it. My dad loves it so it is our weekly night out. Parking can be limited near by but there is street parking around. Read the signs. They also have a full bar to sit and watch a game. Can't wait to see what the expansion will be.

This spot is a must when in Old Orchard. Tucked away from the busier area and a really great space with a lot of seating. I really love the covered outdoor area. The wait times can be long sometimes but that is because it's a great spot and well worth it. We sat at the outdoor bar area and got some great cocktails. The espresso martini is really well executed and I've tried a few of their margaritas and have loved them all. I got the pizza the first time I came and it was a solid pie but I really enjoyed the wings this time around. The burrata was good but I would opt for something else on their menu the next time since it's not the best thing. The service is friendly and fast and welcoming. I look forward to stopping by again!

What a gem in Old Orchard Beach! The Local OOB offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with friendly service. The wait staff is engaging and personable. One staff member was coming to tables to engage with families and their kids- which you don't see in many places. It feels just like the name says- a place where the locals gather to eat and drink. My husband and I stopped by for a bite and some drinks. We opted to try their wings- Teriyaki for him, gold rush for me. They were very big- cooked well, and juicy. They are not fried like some other places, which can be appealing for some. The sauces were good- tossed in, which the flavor didn't permeate throughout. The blue cheese dressing is amazing- fresh and chunky. There are a variety of drink options to try, from cocktails to mocktails, a huge beer menu, and THC drinks. All in all, a wicked neat place that we will be coming back to!

What a delightful place. As a gluten-free person, I was so excited to see tons of options for myself and my family. There was something for our plain eaters, the kids, the gourmands, and those wanting local food. Servers were very nice and we really enjoyed the outdoor patio space. I wanted to go back again on our short trip, but we didn't have time.

Friendly staff and fresh food with outside seating. An overhang was recently added to shade us all from the hot summer sun.

Just like the name says "Local OOB". This place is lively and loud. Locals are definitely the clientele here. Great drinks and great food.

We were originally going to go to another restaurant, Bell Buoy or something or other and they were closed. Their loss! Came to Joseph's By the Sea and the staff were welcoming and hospitable. Sat upstairs outside and had the best dinner ever. Very happy with the bread basket for $4. Tasty and nice to nibble on with a delicious plain butter as well as an olive butter. Then ordered the large portion Caesar salad. Lovely, my boyfriend and I shared it. Ordered the lobster for market price. They were out of the 1 1/4 pound one, but had the 1 3/4 pound one which was a little more expensive, but worth it. It was fresh and quite far for the price at a restaurant. Boyfriend had the "Best of Both Worlds" (not pictured) he eats too fast! 4 ounce filet mignon and 4 ounces of lobster meat. Served with same sides that I had with the lobster dish. Also a chimichurri sauce. It really doesn't need it. Ask for it on the side if you're iffy about it. A great dessert menu, but we were full. I actually asked for more bread and the olive butter to go! Very clean restaurant. Another nice touch is the hand washing station near the bathroom. Thank you, JBTS. Our regards from Washington, DC.

From the Lobster…read moreTacos with crispy wontons, to the Maison pasta loaded with shrimp, scallops, salmon, mussels, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and that garlic herb cream... WHEW! I ordered extra cream sauce. There was a decent amount of seafood too. Chef Dakota makes me want to hop in the car and take that two hour drive JUST for that pasta. It was THAT good! And listen, even the Caesar Salad was top tier. They did not come to play. My Hubby had the Fish & Chips and absolutely loved his meal too. The food was excellent, but the experience was just as good. Service was amazing, the bathrooms were clean, and the inside was CHIC, intimate and romantic. It was the perfect atmosphere for our restaurant date night. Joseph's has that elevated coastal feel without feeling stuffy, and you can tell they take the whole dining experience seriously. They've been serving Old Orchard Beach for decades and have a strong focus on fresh, locally sourced seafood. DO NOT have the disappointment of showing up without a table. MAKE A RESERVATION! Would I drive two hours again for that pasta? ABSOLUTELY.
