The indoor section is very upscale and classy, but the outdoor space was beautiful and relaxing; a tiny vacation paradise! The table vibe with small modern lanterns was an ambient vibe and there was a fire pit as well. The food and the DRINKS!! My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Drinks that you could easily get drunk on because they're delicious, and the tapas style unusual Peruvian dishes were SO good. Not necessarily a place for kids or teens unless they have very open minded palates, but for adults? I'd go there every weekend. Service was perfect! My only suggestion is to turn down the music ;especially if you're going to play hip hop where they are dropping the f-bomb. We had an 83 year old lady with us. Just some constructive feedback.

Riley is the perfect hostess - she remembered that I had been there before, and she was great, catching my husband's question about df - dairy free. The place is spotless - really clean and upscale. The food is amazing, so different and tasteful that it made me want to return after my first visit, and will return in the future to try other dishes. It is a really cool place, so I hope you will try it. My only thought is that it could have more amazing different dishes on the menu although that might be difficult for the cooking staff which obviously does a wonderful job!

Food started strong then progressively went downhill. Service also started strong with the host,…read morebut once the server came over it became weak and continued to decline throughout the evening. He completely disregarded the other guest and only focused on my drink order, which felt disrespectful. After taking my order and walking awaynot once but twice, when he returned I had to ask, "Are you not going to take her drink order?" The tuna sashimi was great and the carrots were good as well. However, something about the halibut tasted off. I work with fish daily, and this personally was not it. I had one bite and could not continue eating it. The server boxed up the halibut for me, but then tossed a to-go container onto the table for us to box our own dessert, which felt inconsistent with the level of service. The bartender was wearing an H&H raincoat and appeared to be drinking on the job, while other female staff members were scrolling on their phones. Overall, not a great first impression. The ambiance itself was nice, but when you make an 8:30 PM reservation and receive a text at 7:30 PM saying your table is ready, it feels a bit off-putting. I had asked beforehand if anything earlier was available and was told no, so I intentionally booked later for an evening experience. Then upon arrival, the restaurant was fairly empty. Within the first few minutes of us being there, the kitchen doors were closed and cleaning was happening all around us. It created an unpleasant atmosphere for what was supposed to be a social evening out and a little hoorah celebration, and nothing was acknowledged by staff. It was clear that reservation notes or comments in chat of reservation were not reviewed. Overall, not thrilled with the experience. Been there, done that -- one visit was enough for me/us unless that 49-year-old male server Charlie learns how to properly serve guests and the kitchen team start to season the food a bit better. Would have been nice if Charlie checked in with us more like he did the other tables hence the eaves dropping to know more about him and the place. 4/10 experience, will not be back which is a bummer.

Maine & Loire has become my go-to spot whenever I need a special bottle of wine, or something fun,…read moreor just something reliably high-quality. It's the kind of place where I can walk in and say, "Hey, I'm making haddock chowder tonight, my budget is $30," and immediately get a handful of thoughtful recommendations plus a mini wine lesson, which I always appreciate. Wine can get pretentious and intimidating so fast, and I never feel that way at Maine & Loire. I also really love their sales and loyalty program. Getting those emails with 10% off codes (which they send out pretty often!) always makes my day. Lastly, I think you can choose to drink bottles on site, but in the past their policy seemed to change a few times, so I've stopped trying and just treat them as my go-to wine shop.

Knowing a decent amount about wine, it was fun to chat with staff to find something new. I didn't feel pushed to purchase anything, although, I happily walked away with three bottles and a few more fun facts about geographical areas than I did before. Regardless of your knowledge of wine, this is *the* spot to grab a bottle. They also offer wine tasting sample events!
