I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with AW Collisions was so frustrating it warrants a warning to others. I was referred through W.I. Simonson, and expected a straightforward, professional repair experience. Unfortunately, it turned into the exact opposite. Communication was consistently poor from the start. I had to call multiple days in a row just to get basic updates on my car, and each time I was told I would receive a callback that never came. The most concerning part, however, was the condition of my car upon return. After all the delays and lack of transparency, the repairs were still incomplete, with visible damage left unaddressed. I was told that the insurance adjuster also did not catch this damage, so it may not be entirely the shop's fault -- however, it's still concerning that it was missed altogether, which raises serious concerns about the thoroughness and quality control of the process overall. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and careless. Between the lack of communication, unfulfilled promises, and incomplete work, I left with very little confidence in their professionalism or quality of service. Get better drivers. One of your drivers almost caused an accident because he was sitting halfway out the parking lot exit and in the first lane. He was pointing behind him as if he had no space but the car behind him was already reversing and giving him plenty of space. The reason I'm leaving this review is because of Juan Carlos--he was fantastic to work with. He took the time to walk me through the entire process and gave me clear expectations on timing. He followed up with detailed emails and always returned my calls. I really appreciated how thorough and communicative he was throughout. When I got my car back, it looked great. They did a really nice job on the repairs. I've seen some reviews claiming the shop overcharges or is a scam. Personally, I didn't have that experience. My brand new BMW was parked on a street and got hit by a careless driver who rammed into a truck that then got pushed on top of my hood. Able to write a review after finally getting my Mini back.... Job looks good, but it's the process to get here that leaves me writing this review. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Extremely unprofessional desk staff. When you call to ask the status you receive a lot of "uhhhsss" and "ummmm" and never a confident answer that seems like the representatives have any knowledge of vehicles. Horrible communication throughout the whole job as well. I had to call and message many times just to have a simple update. Janelle was to send photos out to me on two occasions: once the original photos of the dent (which I did receive) and second the photos of the dent after it was pulled before primer for paint (never received these and asked 4 times including Janelle directly in person upon picking up my car. She acted as if she did everything she was asked). Not to mention this is a BMW certified shop and with that should not be allowed to even CONSIDER putting aftermarket parts on the car. My first estimate I received back was full of aftermarket parts, and when asked AW Collision (Janelle again) responded that I could pay the difference to put factory parts on my car. I must stress that this was an accident that I was 0% at fault, and the man who hit me's insurance was covering 100% of the damages which AW Collision knew. My car was in factory condition prior to this. For a BMW certified shop to turn around and tell me I could simply pay the difference to return my car back to the way it was before I got hit is ridiculous. I repeat this is a BMW certified shop, and has not once had BMW quality service. They also tried to tell me they could not give a full warranty on all the parts. They could not warranty THIER WORK. Red flag here in itself if the rest isn't enough. After many rewrites of the estimate, Janelle was to send the paperwork to approve the work to be started. She said this would be sent on Friday and they could not start my car until this was signed. Paperwork was not received until WEDNESDAY. With no communication as to when it would be sent or why it was delayed. When calling with any questions we would get one answer, and then when calling back to confirm the story would be entirely different. Extremely unprofessional staff, and a frustrating process all around due to AW Collision. A 2 week job that took over a month. I typically trust Long Beach Mini, but they should not be recommending this shop. If you want good quality service go elsewhere. Management needs to do a better job at training and staffing the office with respectful and timely individuals that care about their work and the people they are serving. I cannot speak for the individuals actually completing the work, but the outward facing staff needs to do better. read more

I first off wanted to start with saying that thank god I didn't go to this body shop (AW Collision), I went to Long Beach BMW to get a quote for my 2025 M3 since it got hit on the quarter panel and door, They told me there is individual that is usually there to give me a quote I waited there for 30 minutes and lost my patience, I then asked a service advisor provide the address of the body shop they deal with, I found it a little weird that they said its difficult to recommend a body shop that usually has a lot of negative impact to the dealer. But I still went to the body shop because my car needed to be fixed, I got to the bodyshop which looked very nice, I once again had to wait in the lobby and there was a girl there on her phone and ask I asked her if someone can help me, she didnt seem too pleasant when I requested for assistant she just said to wait and someone will assist me, while she was on her phone. I pretty much waited for another 20 minutes or so, and I seriously lost my patience. I simply googled a near by BMW body shop and interesting to know there was a body shop literally right beside Long Beach BMW, named Class Auto. When I arrived I seen very nice cars around the body shop and seen Mercedes, BMW & even Porsche which really actually comforted me knowing this body shop fix high end cars, I entered the office, they seem pretty busy but they were so courteous and offered me a beverage and told me they will be with me shortly, a few seconds later someone assisted me and honestly was pleasant to actually get help. Class Auto Body Shop rep literally told me not to worry and they will handle everything else with the repair of my car. Which was so awesome. I left there feeling happy about my decision going to this bodyshop. It did take month to repair my car and costed around nearly close to $20,000 but my god my car looks so good and new, it looked like nothing happened to it, Class Auto Body did such a good repair. Thank god I took my car to Class Auto. I did my research on AW Collision and looked at the bad reviews and my god honestly feel that I dodged a bullet not taking my car to AW Collision, I do not understand why Long Beach BMW does not recommend Class Auto Body when they literally right across the street?! AW Collision Of Long Beach Is the worst body shop I ever experienced. It truly embarrassing that a luxury dealership like Santa Monica Mercedes (W I Simonson Mercedes) recommends a shop like this. I would never come back here again. Customer Service & quality of repair was the worst I ever experienced. I pay so much money to own a luxury vehicle and I was recommended to this shop. I was informed it is very difficult to recommend AW Collision Of Long Beach as a shop due to the experience customers have received and quality work performed on luxury vehicles. I have to start with Customer Service. My vehicle was towed from the dealer to AW Collision. I found out that my vehicle was at their shop for 3 days & their was no progress on the repair my vehicle, estimate of my vehicle was ready from the beginning of the transfer of my car. I called for status of my car, and a girl picked up told me they are waiting for my insurance give approval to move forward and its been 3 days, I was so angry because I literally provided the approved estimate to the person at the dealer. I told the girl to please let me know who I need to speak to get my car going. I was assigned to random associate Eric Panosian. He was not available to speak to at the time, and urged the girl to please communicate with the individual I spoke to at the dealer and to have Eric call me. I even sent her my estimate I received from the insurance. I never got a call back the next day and I honestly was waiting for them to call me and lost my patience. I called on the 4th day and again Eric Panosian was not reachable or able to speak to me. This was so frustrating. I was ready to pull my car but gave them time to call me back. On the 5th day I lost my patience and literally told the shop to send my car back to the dealer this is honestly so unprofessional. I get a call back and they said they received the estimate from their associate from the dealer, and I was so frustrated ask why it took so long for them to even receive information from their associate, the girl literally seem like she didnt care and told me to just communicate Eric Panosian which he never ever available to speak to. I finally got hold of him and I explained everything to him on why is it so difficult to start work on my car there so much delay. He started blaming my insurance saying that they took a long time to respond with the estimate. Which not only infuriated even more. I literally called my insurance AAA and I informed them the situation that I provided my estimate to the associated with shop and they said I did the right thing and there should never been a delay on starting repairs. Fast Forward this took 3 weeks to fix my car and omg when I received my car, the paint look really bad and I seen little particles within the paint that I inspected as part of the approved repair. Not only during the process of repair that Eric Panosian failed to express good customer service I received my car pretty much dirty and quality of work performed on my vehicle was the worse I ever witnessed. I lost my mind. My vehicle is high end Mercedes and I just couldnt take it anymore. I called back to the shop to express my frustration manager & eric panosian was not reachable to communicate. I seriously cannot believe I experienced this in life. I should have listened to the individual telling me that AW Collision quality of work is bad and customer service is the worse that anyone can ever experience. I will file a complaint with Better Business department with the experience I received. If you truly care about your vehicle do not go to this shop. They charged my insurance so much it make sense, it almost seem like fraud. My insurance informed me unfortunately I picked the shop which I didnt the dealer took it to a shop I didnt know of and I trusted the process. I hope this shop gets audited. I very angry. read more

Do not go here! Not the service expected of a BMW recommended body shop. A 2 week job took 1 month. Dropped off my car on a Friday morning, they submitted estimate same day which was approved same day by insurance. After initial estimate of 2 weeks they pushed the time and never provided an estimate date of completion. Total disregard for customers time, they don't provide timely updates, I had to constantly chase them down for information and when I finally got a hold of someone I never got a straight answer. I had to waive a sensor replacement because that would have taken another month, had they ordered the part when I dropped it off 3 weeks prior it would have arrived well within the 30 days it was there. This is a review for William. A few years ago William hooked me up with replacing the broken handle/third brake light on the lift gate of my Scion tC (see picture). It's a common problem with Scions. He gave me a good price and threw in some better screws than what was included in the replacement kit to make the handle stronger. Since then, he has given me tips on other issues with my cars and saved me plenty of money by just being honest with me. Insurance would take care if it. 1 week passes, no word back. 2 weeks pass. My car is still there. I call and spoke to the Rudest guy there. He was handling my case. Told me they had no parts, and no word from my insurance. Sooo, are you just holding my car? Hmmm, 3 weeks. I call again. I need my car at this point. Guess what? They want to charge me to give me my car back!!!!! Hah!! So, I really had no choice. Left it there. Week 4 and 30 days later. My car is fixed. At exactly the end of my 30 days with Geico. Worst Customer Service, do not take your car here. Dropped off my car @ BMW of Long Beach to get a quote for an insurance claim. Anthony said he didn't have time to do the quote and said we'll take care of it with your insurance directly. The next day I got the insurance quote and decided to not do the work there, when I called to get my car they said I have to pay a $200 car storage fee. I told them what happened and that Anthony said there is no charge to get the quote and they said hold on, let me ask a manager to see what I can do, they came back on the phone and said "it's either $200 today or $400 tomorrow" - What a joke of a company. Told me my estimate will be 10k, I was okay I'm not paying for it since it was the other person fault. 30 days go by with nothing from them , called and Juan couldn't tell me when my car will be ready 30 more days go by and I'm pretty pissed No answer from this creep I ask him why will he not tell me anything and he says he's waiting on part and I told him look! Car rental is 2k a month , you need to tell people what is going on , you can't just ignore them and expect things to go , even if you are waiting for part you call say that , I'm not mad that you don't have parts I'm mad that you haven't told me one single thing since my car has been here and given no updates Your responsibility is to inform people what is going on 20 more days.. Juan is now on vacation and look I got someone else to talk to me since he was on vacation, My car is done and they are waiting for insurance stuff ... okay will I'm going to be traveling so I'll have to pick up my car after I get back to the states He also told my paperwork has a different person name... I only came to this place because the BMW dealership on Long Beach recommend it. Long story short: they gave me back my car with an extra $2000 damage on it!! There is a dent on the side, front bumper paint damage and the hood get scratched up, while I trusted them with my car. When I complained to the manager, she took no responsibility for it!! She told me this is how they received the car?! I would leave my car for 4 weeks(!!?) in a body shop, to get fixed and not taking care of these damages? The manager denied all responsibility, she showed me photos that she claims show the damages. I didn't see the damage on the photos and the car was moved, it was not when I left it when the photo was taken. And the paint job! They messed it up so much, the paint doesn't matches the car, now I have to get it repainted. I never in my life imagined a business could be so cruel like this. So if you want to very long time to get your car "fixed" and you want to risk having additional damages for your car, you are at the right place. I had minimal damage on my BMW no mechanical damage and Eric used the most expensive parts to make my car totaled out, he and AW collision also bills your car insurance illegally for storage fees! The law states that NO REPAIR SHOP can bill for storage fees until they have gave the customer a invoice of the c work performed, and this does not i mean the estimate! Well, I am a disabled cancer patient living on a fixed income. They also kept my car for 2 months with no repairs done at all but they were paid over $7000 for nothing and I can't make it to my cancer appointments! If you value your car do not choose these frauds! They are actually working with the total loss department at State Farm to defraud the customer... I am so sad... I have nothing after paying full coverage insurance to State Farm, using a certified BMW repair shop.
