He was professional, friendly, and genuinely cared about getting me back on the road as quickly as possible. His leadership clearly shows because the entire crew was incredibly helpful, efficient, and welcoming. What impressed me the most was that there was absolutely no pressure to buy new tires or upsell anything. The former location of Firestone Complete Auto Care, America's Tire (not to be confused with American Tire Depot a few blocks east) came through in a big way & thoroughly impressed me. My right rear tire had a tire valve stem leak. Perturbed that I may have to buy a new set of tires, I remember reading good reviews about my local America's Tire, and thought I'd give them a shot. After I parked, an associate came up to me & I described the issue I had. After using an instrument to measure my tire tread & checking out my wiper blades, he informed me they can install a new tire valve stem. Best part? Absolutely free! It's part of America's Tire free flat repair, regardless if this was my first visit. Inside, the associate let me know my tire tread was good, despite being 7 years old. He suggested if I'd like new tires, he gave me a quote out the door for the cheapest available set, and said tires 10+ years old cannot be worked on, needing a mandatory change. Finally, he spotted my streaking wiper blades, and gave me the quote of $10/each for new wipers, including install. The estimated time for completion was 10:50 am, with actual finished work done swiftly by 10:25 am. Service was excellent! Quite relieved I didn't have to purchase new tires/pay for tire repair, I had my car in & out in not time. Plus, as I my car was brought out to me, the technician thanked me for coming to America's Tire, and gave me the business card of the manager. I felt welcomed & appreciated from the time I arrived, to the time I left. Color me impressed, America's Tire! You now have my patronage, going forward. My tire issue became just a minor inconvenience, and I didn't have to drop a lot of moolah for a costly repair. In the morning on my way to work, I noticed my passenger rear tire was low so I stopped by, and Yair was checking the air pressure and putting air for people that stop by. I told him that I had a plug on my tire because the people at the dealer lost my tire lock, so about 3 months ago when I had a flat, I went to a tire repair shop and they couldn't do the normal flat tire patch since they couldn't unlock my tire. Yair took a look at my tire, and he said that there was a nail which was separate to the previous problem, and probably recent. To my great surprise he said he will not only repair the nail puncture, but also do the patch for my plug which I have been trying to do for some time(once I got my tire lock back from the dealer, because they had to order one since they lost it when I went for service) and went to the tire place where they did the plug but was told they wouldn't do it. Tried other tire places and they also wouldn't. I'm very grateful and impressed by this America's tire location for their customer service and attitude. They not even charged me for the flat repair, and went beyond my expectations. They didn't try to sell a new tire, like the one time that I went to Pep boys on South Street and my they said it wasn't repairable because it was close to the tire wall which I knew it was pure BS, since it was inside almost 2 inches from the wall and the tire was in great condition. I pulled up and was instantly greeted by an employee who got to work right away scanning my tires, triaging my needs, and giving me an overview of the service. They were able to find the puncture, repair it, balance the tire, and rotate my tires. All in under and hour, and for free! Gone are the days when I'd have to drive to Signal Hill to get my tires rotated. Of course, that's not to say the Signal Hill location has gotten bad, but I've been there a handful of times before that when the Cerritos location opened, I made it a point to try that location and see how it would compare. Actually, I heard there was supposed to be an America's Tire opening in Lakewood where East Side Mario's used to be, but I reckon that must have fallen through the cracks. For now, I'll have to make this my go-to location, even if it's not as good as the Signal Hill location. This America's Tire opened recently in Cerritos on South St next to Aldi, where Firestone used to be. The cool thing about this location is that whichever direction you go from there, you'll always find an option to grab something to eat or simply walk around an air-conditioned store while you wait for your tires to be worked on. The walkability from the Signal Hill location doesn't really compare, hence why I'm more than willing to patronize this location even if it's not as good. I first came on a weekday after work right before the Labor Day holiday weekend when I was planning to go out of town, and I wanted to make sure my tires had sufficient air pressure to make it to where I was going. It took a while, however, to be serviced not just because there was a truck that was backing into the rear lot of the tire shop, but also because there wasn't anybody stationed at the air check, located in the rear of a garage. In fact, I believe a disgruntled customer had left the air check because nobody noticed their presence. Luckily, they noticed mine, but do keep this in mind when you go to this location. You might have to get an employee's attention from afar. Yair was the one who serviced me and checked the tire pressure on all four of my tires. His customer service skills were on par with a traditional America's Tire employee, but he missed the mark when he said he'd email me a copy of my receipt from my visit, but I never received such an email. He did let me know about the condition of my tires, and I kept that in the back of my mind when I'd get my tires rotated on a future visit. That future visit was also on a weekday, but after the holiday weekend. I set up an appointment for around lunchtime, thinking it wouldn't be as busy. No joke, as soon as I got out of my car, an employee named Jay was walking towards me, ready to service me. I was impressed! I had told him I was here for my appointment, and he was able to look up my name without my having to say it! If this were my first visit to this location, it would have left a much better first impression. Before we went in, Jay took the time to run some tests on my tires and even check on the spare tire in the trunk of my car, the last of which I've never had happen despite patronizing the chain over the years. Other than that, Jay's level of service was the standard that you'd expect at any America's Tire location. He informed me of the condition of my tires, pretty much the same spiel that Yair had went over with me a couple weeks prior. However, I felt he was trying to upsell me with some new tires and wiper blades even though the tires had only reached the recommended level based on years, but not quite tread lengths yet. Though the wiper blades were understandable, I wasn't in a mood to spend ~$50 (!) on a new set of wiper blades in an area that doesn't get a whole lot of rain. But he definitely wasn't pushy; just trying to let me know of the opportunity since they did have wiper blades and tires in stock at the time. What's interesting is that it took them about 40 minutes to rotate my tires even though it wasn't even that busy. One time at the Signal Hill location, they got it done in about 5 minutes, but at least I had ample time to rest and relax in their customer lounge, which was deprived of water bottles in their mini fridge. However, there are some outlets and even some USB ports for customers to charge their laptops and other devices while getting some work done. After about 35 of those minutes, Matthew called my name to let me know that my car was just about done. He was also trying to let me know about how bad the wiper blades were, but come on, do I really need to be told the same thing twice?? Kind of overkill if you ask me. I'll definitely keep it in the back of my mind, but I'm more than willing to wait another day. Anyways, Matthew was chill too, but I had to keep my eyes on the garages to look for when my car was ready to go back on the road. A female employee was guiding Matthew out of the garage, and then he turned my car around before handing me my car key. He also gave me not one, not two, but three business cards of their store manager, Eddie, who was previously the manager of the Fullerton location, which I went to last year and didn't have nearly as good an experience. I've gotten new tires from a couple of shops on the same street (South St) and also from Costco. I stopped going to Costco because they always made me wait a week or more for the tires I needed, and the wait was long even if I just needed a tire repair. So even though Costco has great, trustworthy customer service--and I've been a loyal customer for almost 20 years when it comes to all their other merchandise--Ive ventured out when it comes to tires. The other tire shops on South St were a few bucks cheaper, but I was never happy with their service or how disorganized they were. America's Tire is a chain that opened on South St not too long ago (less than a year ago?). A few months back, I had a nail in. Even though I hadn't bought the tires from them, they helped me out politely and without any hassle. So when it was time to replace the tires on my Model S, I chose America's Tire for three main reasons: 1. My positive experience with them from few months ago when I wasn't even a customer. 2. Their shop is clean and organized, and they don't push unnecessary sales. 3. I showed up for my appointment and they had a bay ready--no waiting. I was in and out in under 30 minutes, which saved me a lot of time. I'm usually wary of tire or mechanic shops--there are so many ways they can cut corners. And do a poor job simple as replacing tires, like dropping your rims without care. Even if the shop has good policies, hiring the wrong people can still ruin the experience. But with America's Tire, both of my visits met expectations and I'm satisfied. I recommend them. Also, recommend that you make an appt online even though they take walk-ins. Recently my car suddenly had a yellow low tire pressure warning out of the blue via the tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS). And as fate would have it, this America's Tire location in Cerrito happened to locate near Los Cerritos Center and I decided to stop by for an air check. Upon arrival, visitors should see a giant sign stating that they offer free walk-in air check for any visitors. There is no gimmick and the only two information the staff will be asking are (1) your name and (2) your phone number. I had Joseph and he was very friendly. He checked all of my tires in less than 15 minutes and said one of rear tires probably has a small leak. My jaw almost dropped when he said they offer free tire repair but will need to wait for 45 minutes. I ended up choosing to skip the free repair as the store was about to close in less than one hour and I had other errands to run. I also received a tire report on tread depths and tire age. I came in (today) Saturday a little after 2:00pm to have two tires installed. I was told the car would be ready around 5:30pm, so I waited at the store the entire time. At 6:00pm, even though the store officially closes at 5:00pm, I was told it would be another 20-30 minutes because they were "finishing the alignment." At 6:30pm, after waiting over four hours, I was informed they could not complete the alignment because they "don't have the proper equipment for European vehicles." This should have been identified before attempting the service. I want to note that I have been to two other America's Tire locations in the past, both of which successfully performed alignments on my vehicle without any issues and provided great service. This made the explanation even more frustrating. During my visit, I also observed employees driving my and other vehicles aggressively in the parking lot, accelerating quickly and braking hard, which was extremely concerning and unprofessional. Although the alignment charge was refunded, when I drove away my car was not driving straight. The steering wheel is now off-center, and I have to turn it to the right just to drive straight. This issue did not exist before I arrived. I left with my vehicle in worse and potentially unsafe condition, with brand-new tires now at risk of uneven wear, and no corrective solution or compensation was offered. Not happy with my most recent experience. I was told my vehicle was ready for pick up around their closing time. It was not. When I turned on the car the low tire pressure light TPMS light and the TPMS was not showing any of the tire pressures. I knew that some occasions the TPMS sensor can take some time to recalibrate fine. So I left and tired to give it some time. I then went home and attempted to reset it myself again in which I was able to get rid of the low air tire pressure and TPMS light but when trying to look at the actual air pressure it was still not showing. Made a call the following day to inform them of the issue. Brought it in and a technician attempted to recalibrate it with their machine. It still did not work and I was told to drive it and let it cycle and hopefully it would clear. I was sent a survey and informed them of the issues I still currently have. I was later contacted by the store manager and was told that I possibly need to buy new sensors to maybe have it fixed. Why doesn't make sense is everything was working prior to them replacing the tires. Even included in the service was a rebuild kit. So I spent more than $1400 and now I have to pay more due to "possibly" fix the issue that was caused by the technician. I am significantly disappointed with the service I received. read more

The staff were friendly and the service was quick, BUT when I got my car back, there was a loud ticking sound only present after I got serviced with them. I went back to have it checked, but they just insisted it was a bearing issue and refused to investigate further. Please be aware that this lack of thorough inspection can be a serious danger to customers. Disappointed, I took my car to a different location of the same company. They were incredibly helpful, doing a full inspection and balance, and the ticking sound disappeared. Save your time and go to another location. read more

I had a flat on my rear passenger side tire--completely flat. Even though I had run-flat tires, I didn't want to push my luck. After airing it up, I saw a wood screw stuck in the tread. I decided to look for a vulcanizing shop and ended up at American Tire in Cerritos. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with care. The manager, Eddie, greeted me, asked for my name and number, and personally checked my tire. He told me it was still fairly new and reassured me that it could be patched. One of his staff got to work right away, patching the tire and checking all the others to make sure they were properly inflated and safe to drive on. I waited in their comfortable and convenient lounge--tables with USB outlets and laptop power made it easy for me to keep working while I waited. In just a short time, someone came in and let me know my car was ready. And the best part? They didn't charge me anything. They said this is just part of the service they provide to customers. I was honestly blown away. I usually buy my tires from Costco to save money, but next time, I'll be buying from American Tire. Their customer service, care, and honesty are unmatched. And just in case they charge a little bit more, I'd gladly support them. They also offer discounts and--bonus--they do wiper replacements too! We came in at 4:50 without an appointment to do a tire rotation and balancing. This is a new location so I wasn't expecting too much. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Matt, who was patient and understanding throughout my whole visit. He even offered to install new windshield wipers for a very fair and low price. I was expecting anywhere from an hour or more because there were other cars in front of me as well. They finished everything by 5:20, only 30 mins after I came in. I would recommend this tire shop to anyone in the Cerritos area as I am not from here. Anyway I came in for a nail removal after work and the staff was helpful about explaining everything. Luckily I only needed a patch as the nail was in a fixable area. They also equalized and added air to make the psi even on all my tires before leaving, and they coated my tires? They looked shiny when the service was done. Or maybe I was imagining it. Also if I were to replace my tire the pricing was decent. They also offer wind shield replacements and tire rotation services. First time coming to this location since the Long Beach location closed. I got a flat tire the night before, which AAA replaced with my spare. I came here next morning, and service was top notch. As soon as I parked, a worker approached me with a clipboard, asking for details on what happened, assessed my tires, and then led me inside to explain how they'll be helping me. They were able to repair my tire from nail damage, removed the spare/placed the repaired tire back on, and pumped air in all my tires. When they were finished with my car, they parked it facing the direction of the lot exit, ready for me to drive off (very thoughtful!). The whole process was only about 20 minutes. Will definitely be coming back! PS - it's easy to mix up locations, there's an American Tire Depot on the same side of the street, literally walking distance from here, which I mistakenly went to first. They took the car in, repaired the tire, put Armor All on all the other tires. They did this all for FREE. Yes, for FREE, even though the guy thought I was from Sacramento. The entire staff here is excellent. Special thanks to Joseph and Eddie but everyone is fantastic. The shop is very clean and the staff clearly takes great pride in their work as they are polished, professional, and serious about their jobs.
