Our house wasn't in need of an immediate paint job, but wear and tear were starting to show after 10 years. Robert (our sales/operations contact) drove me to a couple houses that they worked on and I had a chance to speak with one of their customers. I haven't done a full exterior house paint job before so I made sure to get at least one other quote. Buddy Paint's estimate was about 20% higher, but I still decided to go with Buddy's because of the 5-Year material & labor warranty (the other company did not offer any warranty) and the feedback from the customer I spoke to. I also felt like Robert would take care of us. The crew was friendly and efficient. They prepped the home well. Robert was responsive when we told him of a few spots that needed extra attention. There was one issue (accidental damage) that I wish would have been proactively handled. But Robert worked with me to resolve to our satisfaction. Overall, we love the new look of of our home. We recently got our house painted by Buddy Paint and we are very happy and satisfied with the outcome. We first heard about Buddy Paint when our neighbors got their house painted. They gave us a free estimate. They were very reasonable and soon enough a date was set for when our house was to be painted. The first day they did a power wash of the house's exterior and surroundings to make sure everything was clean. They also helped move plants off to the side. During the second day, Markus, the owner, gave us a catalog of paint colors for us to choose from. There were so many great colors to chose from! Markus and his crew were very diligent in their work. The workers always came on time and would always clean up at the end of the day. They fixed any wood that was damaged from termites and they also treated areas with termite damage with termite spray. They also treated rusted areas. When it came to the painting part they sprayed, brushed and rolled two coats of finish. Once complete with the painting; Markus personally went around and inspected everything. Our house looks shiny, new and happy with it's new paint. They power washed the whole house and took several days to prep the wood and stucco for painting, which is exactly what I wanted. The work was clean and there was zero mess. Markus uses Benjamin Moore paint which was a huge plus for me. There were some areas that I needed fixed after taking down the Xmas lights and he came back to "fix" everything. Robert introduced himself at a time we were noticing some wear on our home, and couldn't have timed it more perfectly. He was very personable and by the end of our conversation, we hired Buddy paints to do our protects. Throughout the days, the crew was beyond professional, showed up on time, completely respectful and kind (to us and to our property), was neat and took their time making sure every spot was intricately detailed, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. George was the color expert, and recommended a color for our garage, trim, pergola, and all the minor details that I would have never thought to choose. Robert's unprofessionalism and lack of follow-through are simply staggering, especially in light of the fact that this business seems to have only five-star reviews up until this point. Robert was forty minutes late to his appointment with me and, even after arriving, took another five minutes on what seemed to be a very heated phone call on the sidewalk in front of my house. Once inside, he talked at me for forty-five minutes straight about nothing having anything to do with the jobs we needed completed. Then before leaving he said we'd have an estimate in two days. When I didn't receive one, I contacted him, and he complained that he had ten such estimates he had to finish, and that he'd get mine to me after the weekend. The weekend came and went, and I never heard from him. Over a week later he left me a cryptic voicemail that he'd received a message I'd never actually sent, and that he'd get in touch with me. Again, he never did. However, I called him to say I didn't send a message, but STILL had not gotten an estimate from him. That was over two weeks ago now, and no one from Buddy Paint has made any effort to reach me or offer any sort of explanation for their deplorable service. This rating is based as much on what we did not get as what we did get. We didn't get a long spiel about the "philosophy" behind their business (which one company wanted us to book off a whole hour for as part of their estimate). Nor did we get someone telling us our house was falling apart and would cost us much, much more than just a paint job in various repairs and replacements (as the philosophy-sharing company also did). What we did get: a no-nonsense, very competitively priced estimate and a fantastic job at every stage from start to finish. Buddy Paint was a great customer experience. Buddy Paint did a full exterior house painting. It was very easy to setup an appointment for an estimate and they were able to fit the job in within a tight schedule. I had just had my house fumigated and I wanted to schedule the painting soon after to seal up everything to prevent new termites from getting in. The staff was very professional, really clean and quiet. No loud music/talking so I was able to attend many meetings from home without any interruption. I was also impressed how the staff paid attention to touch up details at the end of the job. Any spots I was going to mention were already taken care of the next day before I had a chance to point them out. From my initial meeting with Markus, until the time of job completion, my experience with Buddy Paint was incredible. I was getting my patio enclosed, so wanted the rough back wall being enclosed to be smoothed out and repainted to match the patio. When Markus came out to provide an estimate, he also did a free thorough inspection of the entire exterior of the house. He pointed out various parts of the wood eaves and fascia board that had been damaged overtime by water that I had not quite noticed. He is very thorough, informative, and detailed.
