When I get there I told the guy what I wanted & he quoted me 10k...I guess he saw a surprised look on my face & asked me how much I thought I was going to be, I told he 3-5k max. He then proceeded to tell me he doesn't do that Mexican work & that there was a guy next door that would prolly do it for that much when he's done he starts laughing at me while he walking away. Got into an accident on June 30th and requested a quote on Yelp for body shops and VR Auto was the first one to respond, this was my first accident with an insurance claim and damages to my car and I didn't know what to expect but Valentyn was very helpful in guiding me to what will take place. He was knowledgeable to the extent of the damages just from the pictures I've submitted. Thankfully my insurance covered all damages except 1/2 of the tire which had a slight gash, but valentyn told me not to worry about it that the shop will cover it which I'm extremely grateful as I was going on vacation that week. Found VR auto online with good ratings. Decided to take my car there after someone did a damage to my car. Was kind of scriptural to go down to Hawthorn but I was wrong. This is an update to the response of the owner. I leave truthful honest reviews of my experiences, I get no pleasure or incentive from leaving bad reviews. Honestly speaking the other reviews that left 5 stars didn't even exist when I wrote my review. They actually showed up after I left mine because when I was looking this place had zero reviews. Secondly you claim there's more issues with my car but my car has been driving fine ever since I left AAMCO, and you guys never even gave a full diagnostic of my car. You lifted it up on the ramp, shined a lot at the bottom, and then started coming up with ALL these problems my car has. It took you both less than a few minutes with claims of I need new engine and transmission etc. If your business ethic is honest and good then one review would not destroy your business. If you're worried about bad reviews then maybe you should take your business off of yelp, many businesses thrive even with bad reviews. The other reviews don't even have pictures, and seem very fake to me unlike mine but I can't do anything about it. The truth will come to light with other people's experiences over time and that's all I can say. read more
