I heard good things about this place but when I came in to get an initial estimate for my insurance so. Once I walked in I wasn't even greeted. Gentlemen in the picture I just looked at me in a "what do you want" type of look. I tried explaining my situation to him and pretty much he just didn't want to give me an estimate or maybe he was being lazy but I showed him pictures and information that I had . What can I say. I was referred to this shop by a good friend and am glad I found this gem! This body shop does custom work, paint and installs. It's ran by a father (Esteban) and son (Damian) duo. I mainly worked with the son Damian. I came in one day just to see the shop and meet Damian in person. Very welcoming, answered all my questions and had me feeling like this was the right place to bring my car for since custom work along with redoing my front bumper. The dealership drilled holes into the front bumper license plate bracket!!!! Like come on who does that on a brand new Hellcat! Anyway, it's bugged me ever since then. Instead of giving us good service he belittled us and said there's no point since the insurance already said they would only cover a certain amount so he can't ask for more. HORRIBLE SERVICE! Don't even bother, you'll be wasting your time! They should value new potential customers. Instead they belittle you!

I have used Yelp to find some great places (food, drinks, etc.) but this is my first review ever because this place deserves recognition and more business. To keep a long story short, I needed to install a side skirt for my car. There was no way that I could have installed it myself because it had clips all along the side skirt. Holes need to be drilled into the body panel of the car. I went to 5 auto shops before Auto Explosion. None of them wanted to risk doing it. I met Esteban and he told me that the clips actually fit square holes not circle holes (making it harder to do). He took on the project same day and it came out perfect! Not to mention that he quoted me only $200 for how difficult and unique the job was. When I asked how he did it he told me he drilled circle holes first, and then he chiseled out "corners" so that the clips latch how they are supposed to. These guys are professionals and very skilled. For any other services I am taking my car(s) here. I highly recommend Auto Explosion. Thank you Esteban!! read more

Obviously i am doing a review/customer feed back because they've worked on my yellow car (see foto). This place is the coolest hang out for the import tuner and for the car lover enthusiast. Although they have worked on my car long years ago - i still get peoples attention- heads turning, people taking pics, and the cool comments- back when it was done up to today- it's a good feeling! Why drive a car that looks like what everybody else has? I apologize for those who cannot afford their daydream come true by modifying their car because of financial situatio. I tell you - i was on the same financial situation before i made the decision with my Celica and yes i do understand it was not easy. My advice is set a goal and achieve it such as saving money or borrowing money but have a plan in giving it back because when it's all done, your car and peoples remarks will remind you that you did it - you wished it, dreamed about it and reached it - overall at the end, it's worth it-like that credit card commercial - it's priceless. There will be many positive people and some negative people (haters) after modifying your car. Let the negatives waste their energy by using all their facial muscles but you have one muscle to use for feedback- your middle finger. Anyways, i have always been fascinated to stand out with my ride so getting into a big wreck sort of opened the door for me. I guess be careful what you wish for- it might just happen right? Being my apartment is literally 2 blocks away from Esteban shop - i was able to see my ride transform when they were working on it. And until today- i am able to stop by say hello and check out other customers rides. I am so glad they got rid of their previous guy secretary. I said this because he seems to make the decisions for Esteban back then such as on my ride (maybe on others ride back in the days) that guy decided putting an ugly wing on my ride. I arrived one day and it was already installed. Whateverz, moving on. I had to give them 4 out of 5 starz just because after my car is done and spiffy, people commented why did'nt they paint inside the engine bay as well, where at this one place will? Hmmm? I love my car color. I came here maybe 5 years ago and asked for my car to be pink , yes pink . Originally I wanted highlighter pink but Esteban recommended to do a custom black stripe and go more of a deep pink. Estaban is a cool guy and he does great work! He agreed to take my car after a horrible experience at another body shop. It was abandoned half way through the process. Auto Explosion fixed the other shops terrible body work, did their own body work and it came out amazing, not to mention how awesome of a job they do with fiberglass body kits too! They have a lifetime warranty on any type of paint flaws/bubbling...stuff that isn't caused by rocks, chipping or scratches. First one quoted me 850 + additional charges , second one a similar price , I know it's a mercedes but a simple push back/ dent I had estimated the damage at $250-300 tops . And then I remembered Auto Explosion Inc . My mother took her car after a big collision and they did a magnificent job! So I took my suv on a Tuesday , I believe the Owner quoted me at $150 . He said to bring it on the following Saturday, I was there at 8am on Saturday . I told them I had to be at work by 12 and they worked on my schedule and had the car ready by 10:45 am . Wow! The dent seemed like what dent !!! I highly recommend this place to everyone and anyone looking for REAL job , not a fix up and see you again in a few weeks . I would highly recommend bringing your car To Esteban, Jimmy, and the rest of the guys at Auto Explosion. Their team was able to work miracles on my 1993 Toyota Supra after I brought them a poorly-made body kit to install. Their crew took my Supra that was starting to look rough and completely restored it. From body work to paint, everything looks amazing and my 1993 Supra looks like it just came out of the factory now in 2015. My only complaint would be that we had a few communication issues in terms of making the car look exactly like I specified in my notes (I had A LOT of work done). So I would strongly suggest emphasizing the little things if you have a very high attention to detail and get picky about the little things. Still, I will continue to bring my car back to Esteban and his guys for all my auto body needs.
