This is my 2nd time using Aviv. I made a temporary move last year March, and moved to my permanent place Feb. 1st, 2022. I utilized Aviv for both moves. I had considered another moving company, but they had sent me an email a couple weeks before my move, so I just went with them, to lessen the hassle of going with a brand new company. PROS: I moved a couple of days after the blizzard week-end, so they sent 4 guys instead of the 3 they had said they would send. It was unexpected and I sincerely appreciate that. On both moves, the movers were very efficient and worked really hard and quickly to complete the job in a certain amount of time. Very hard workers. Even though they speak little english, when they get going, they can be pleasant in interacting with you, and good attitude. I was going to shovel a pathway between the sidewalk and truck so it can be easier for them, and one of the guys took the shovel from me and assisted me in making a path in snow bank. I had labeled my boxes and they placed them in the proper areas of apartment based on the location or contents written on the boxes. that was kind of them. Yaniv is also good to work with. CONS: The supervisor was pretty snarky in the beginning and was not all that pleasant this time around. He did put an effort in to be pleasant after awhile. I did not like the fact that I felt rush when I am going to sign the documents- both times. i like to read fine print and make sure I know what I am signing, but the supervisor was rushing me and pointed to where I need to sign without proper explanation of what I am signing. Naturally, I proceed to read for my own understanding, and he was not happy and impatiently told me I was taking up time from other things he had to do. This is the time I wish I was dealing with someone who could speak and understand English really well ( I speak and understand very little ( muy un poccito) of the language, and can get by with choppy phrases. However, I felt rushed to sign documents, and I did not appreciate that. This happened both times of move. There was also confusion and misunderstanding at the beginning that had me calling the office for clarity and explanation. I do think when it comes to paperwork, there needs to be clear understanding, so that means someone who can explain clearly and concisely what folks are signing. It is our signature, after all!. I do not like to sign blank spaces, and I question those also, but he was impatient with me. Anyways, move is stressful for all involved, so I just went with it and let it be. We are all humans, after all. It ended okay with everything completed, but I gave 4 stars because I think you may want to look into the paperwork concern. Also, another con- the price quote more than doubled in one year! ( not what I had a year ago- and yes, i understand inflation..but still- more than double in under a year?!!!) Yaniv worked with me on a discounted price and I was grateful. They are now using another company for card payments, and the transaction fee is way too much in my opinion. All in all, it could have been a worse experience, so I am thankful. Thank you to all the movers. I hope they are all compensated very well for what they do. I would recommend. read more
