Called yesterday morning to inquire about a new LandRover I was interested in purchasing. Ready to…read morebuy! Only a few questions... 1) verify the vehicle is on the lot. 2) Is there a loyalty discount offered as I'm a returning LandRover owner. And 3) what is the current APR offered by JLR (I already have my own financing but am wondering if they may offer a better rate). After 6 hours and several follow-up calls / texts, the only thing I have been able to verify was a sideways photo printout of vehicle option packages. Which doesn't even confirm the vehicle is on the lot. I spoke with both Victoria and Gustavo in sales. They both stated they would get things done and neither of them have. The communication is incredibly bad and they demonstrated almost zero follow-up. I called and asked for a sales manager - no one is available. I guess they really don't want to sell the vehicle? Crazy. It's halfway through the next day now, and I was told by text message that I'd hear from the sales manager soon. Aaaaand nothing. How long does it take to determine loyalty discount and give customer (who is ready to buy) the price? Cargurus website shows that the vehicle has been for sale for 372 days. What a shocker. Maybe they don't really have the vehicle and it's an online marketing bait and switch? Upper management may want to look into this absurdity.

I had an extremely disappointing and insulting experience with Land Rover Southwest…read more I was dealing with David Hudzeitz regarding a vehicle I was seriously interested in purchasing. From the beginning, once I tried to negotiate a fair price, I felt like I was being written off and not taken seriously. Despite that, I still gave the dealership a chance. I came in, viewed the car, and continued the process in good faith because I genuinely wanted the vehicle. The payment discussion is where the experience became unacceptable. For context, part of my funds came from inheritance and estate-sale proceeds connected to my late grandfather, the Honorable Justice Kayode Eso, a former Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a respected jurist. This was legitimate family inheritance money, not suspicious money, not earned illegally, and not something I was trying to hide. I was fully willing to show proof of funds and explain the source of the money. I initially tried to wire funds from my Access Bank domiciliary account in Nigeria, where I had approximately $45,000 available. The dealership appeared hesitant because the funds were coming from Nigeria and claimed the wire could take weeks. That did not sound accurate to me, but because I still wanted to close the deal, I tried to find another solution. I then offered to use approximately $40,000 in cash I had saved in the United States and pay the remaining balance of about $16,000 by debit card. This was not even my preferred method. I was simply trying to make the transaction work and purchase the car. Instead of handling the payment-method discussion professionally, the conversation became derogatory and insulting. A director at the dealership -- I believe it was either Chris Parker or Clifton Miller -- spoke to me in a way I found completely unacceptable. He asked me if I knew what country I lived in and suggested that because I was uncomfortable with a $40,000 cash transaction being reported to the IRS, I must be involved in illicit activity. He also made it clear he did not want anything to do with the transaction. That is a serious and offensive insinuation to make about a customer who was prepared to buy a vehicle and willing to show proof of funds. To be clear, I was not trying to hide the vehicle purchase. A dealership car purchase is obviously documented through the title, registration, bill of sale, payment records, and dealership paperwork. My concern was specifically about how a large physical-cash transaction would be treated and reported, especially when cleaner payment options like a wire or debit payment were available. There is a professional way to explain dealership compliance requirements. This was not it. I felt prejudged, dismissed, and treated like a criminal because my funds had an international source and because I asked reasonable questions about payment. The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile and prejudicial. I ended the call, walked away from the deal, and found a better vehicle in Dallas with a better interior shortly afterward. I will spend my money elsewhere. No serious buyer should be treated this way for asking legitimate questions about payment options and source of funds.

*************NO STAR ZERO STAR NEGATIVE 5***************…read more On Saturday 2/7/2026, I visited Hiram Clarke Road yard for center console. The price for a center console is $21.69 per their website. I spent an hour removing the console from the vehicle it was hard and laborious. At the check out window, the casher gave me price of almost $108. I know exactly their business model and it's unethical and borderline immoral. They insult the customer's intelligence by up charging them with their asinine verbal gibberish about wires, plugs, cables which is a part of the console and can't be removed. So the uneducated casher and her supervisor, both broadline illiterate tried to pull a fast one on me, price jumped from the advertised price for a complete console from, $21.69 to $108 dollars. Their logic is the price of $21.69 is for 1/5 of the console the rest is add on according to the mood of the casher and how much he/she like to embezzle/rob unsuspecting customer(s) that day. They treat you like if you are in a third world country with total arrogance, assuming that you are stupid customer. This so unscrupulous and borderline thuggery, robbing their customer in the open with full immunity. Absolutely no moral conviction as they lie about the price on their website and try to rob you at the checkout window. I just left the console and walked out. Wasted the unwarranted $5 dollars entrance fee to walk on dirty. Stay at home and buy on Facebook Marketplace or Ebay and save yourself the humiliation dealing with this unscrupulous so called business.

I found PepBoys online and saw they did a free AC check. It advertises that their technicians can do a "visual inspection" to determine what might be wrong. I booked the first available appointment which wasn't for over 2 hours. I rushed to pick up my child from school and drove through traffic for half an hour to get to Pep Boys. On arrival, I enter the door and I tell the technician the issue I'm having and he looks at me puzzled and says "yeah the problem is no one is going to look or work on that car". I ask why and he says "because it's a Porsche." I made it clear that I booked an appointment and documented that it was a Porsche and I drove through traffic to get here. His response "yeah well I have one guy going to lunch and the other technician won't look at it." I responded with "in the future if you know your staff won't be able to work on a vehicle, that you should contact the customer so they don't spend time coming here." His response "well we have people that makes appointments that don't show up. Like someone had an appointment this morning and didn't come." So you're going to retaliate against me?!? I'm a first time (and last time customer), a mother who rushed to get her child after school and drove through traffic to ensure I make it to my 4 PM appointment and this is how I'm treated. I walked out frustrated and he said "maybe you can drive to the Sugarland location. They may work on it there." Useless! Don't waste your time, efforts or money on PepBoys!

I was told I had to come back when the master technician was there, but with no info about when that would be. Who knows how long it would have taken if I hadn't kept pressing them for updates. There was not nearly enough communication either directly from an employee or through the link they texted me. Zero urgency all around. Everybody just kind of shuffled around like sleepwalkers. The manager spent most of his time just scrolling on his phone.

The most frustrating part wasn't even the wait, it was the complete lack of communication. I sat there for four hours without a single update and eventually had to go ask what was taking so long. The employee at the front told me it would be "10 more minutes." After waiting longer, I checked again and was told it would be out "in a few seconds." When I asked why it was taking so long, the response I got was essentially, "I don't know, man, there's a bunch of cars and a big line." There was no transparency, no explanation of where my vehicle was in the process, and no effort to keep me informed. Every time I asked for help, I was pointed toward another employee instead of getting a clear answer. The constant runaround made it feel like my vehicle had simply been pushed aside while I sat waiting. In the end, I paid $57 after a discount, and I was told the normal price would have been $79. Spending nearly five hours waiting for a basic oil change at that price is ridiculous. I'd rather take my vehicle to a local mechanic or a place like Take 5 and get the same service done in a fraction of the time. My entire day was wasted sitting in a waiting room. I won't be returning for future service.
