John at discount tire at Antonio and bingel is the best!!! I went in with one tire on a rental car with low pressure. Was leaving on a 6 hour road trip in the rain, and he saw the front two tires were bald. Got me fixed up and on the road safely read more

I am very disappointed with my experience at Discount Tire. I arrived very early in the morning, made an appointment in advance specifically to ensure my vehicle would be one of the first serviced, and was even the first customer waiting outside before the store opened. Despite that, my vehicle was not the first one taken in for service. In fact, several customers who arrived after me had their vehicles serviced before mine, while my car remained sitting in the lot without being attended to at all. If appointments and arrival order are not being honored, it defeats the purpose of making an appointment and arriving early. I understand delays can happen, but there was no communication or explanation provided. This was frustrating and does not reflect the level of customer service I expected. I hope management reviews their scheduling and check-in process so future customers are treated fairly and kept informed. read more

Discount Tire - Tires Near Me - Houston, Texas

The customer service here is terrible. They dont acknowledge you upon arrival, will leave you there waiting and say nothing.

I came at the right time! Barely any customers waiting!!!!!! I finally had my tmps sensor replaced and they checked all four and allowed me to view the machine so I know I was not being ripped off. At other locations they try to make you replace all at the same time. I can literally walk home so I am excited to have this location near my place for future tire needs! The service was great and the price for the sensors could've been cheaper. lol. While waiting, they have a coffee shop within walking distance. Finally, they have a clear process for when you are needing air checks and they do not leave you waiting. read more

I am so pleased and impressed with the staff, especially Nacho and Kelroy (sp)! They were so helpful and honest and had my truck ready as promised! Love these guys!! I will be back as a customer - yall rock!! read more

Stood there maybe 10-15 mins infront of everyone , at least 3-4 associates walked past me and didn't even say a hello or offer to help me . I go to the one on southside and their customer service is amazing don't even have to walk into the office to get help they come outside to assist you . I needed 4 new tires , my sensors checked and I didn't accomplish anything because they have no customer service training. read more

I walked in without an appointment on Tuesday around 1pm needing help with a tire that keeps losing air. Juan, the Assistant Manager helped diagnose the issue and basically the tire could not be repaired. I had a full size spare in the back so I asked them to put it on as a replacement. I expected this would cost me $50 - $100. About 45 minutes after I walked in, without an appointment, my car was ready to go and they handed me the keys. I asked, what do I owe you? Discount Tire's answer - Come back and buy a full set when you're ready. You bet. Sold! Thanks Juan! I'll be back. read more

Yesterday I and my wife arrived at this place,Tony this boy is good and kindness, he help us call to trailer.

What's the point of having a free air station? Waited ten minutes to have an air check, got told to hold on by two different techs. I could have just used the machine myself since there were no technicians interested in helping me .... read more

Came to the air station, waited 15 minutes and had at least 5 different employees walk out and completely ignore my car. Go somewhere else if you need air in your tires. read more

I don't recommend this location at all I rather would go out of my way to drive to the Heights location or even Copperfield and Hwy 6 for better service. Today I went to have two tires replaced on my car and was told it would take 4-5 hrs and would be called once it's done. They never called. I had to call twice to make sure it was ready. When we asked for a receipt before leaving they refused to give us one and said one would be printed after the tire change was completed. They did not give us a receipt with my keys. On top of that when we arrived we noticed my car was not in their parking lot. My car was parked down the road at the local VFW. They didn't even let us know that they had parked my car there or why it was. I feel like I was overcharged for two tire replacement changes. (EDIT: We were indeed overcharged. Because we were given high performance tires for my damn 2013 Mazda 2. My Father is a mechanic himself so he clocked them misleading and over selling us immediately when he reviewed the account activity.) Just save yourself trouble and go to any other location besides this one. I've had excellent service at 18th location in the Heights and on Hwy 6. read more

Long line but moves fast. I am so glad that I bought my 4 tires here last year. Philip not only sold me the tires but helped me today. The tires were rotated, new wipers and lug nuts. All in an hour. Super friendly staff and great email notifications for entire status of car care. They are a GREAT choice. read more

Summary: They had the car for 8 hours. I dropped it at store opening time; they said they would call when ready, since the tires had to be ordered; early afternoon was the approximate time. They never called, so I went around 4:30 pm. The car was ready, but the low tire pressure warning was on, so I had to go back to the store, and it took another 15 minutes to get a reset. Discount Tire has been my go-to tire shop for about 14 years. One of my tires was losing pressure faster than the rest, so I decided to get it checked. I did not have an appointment, but I arrived before the opening at 8:00 AM. The assistant checked all the tires, as they usually do, and informed me that two of my tires were beyond use, and the lugs needed replacement. My tires still had some life in them, as I don't need Discount Tire to tell me when I need to change them. I take my own measurements with a graduated straight hedge. As per the tire manufacturer, Michelin, the depth of the groove should be above 1.6mm. I had more than 3mm. But since I was there, I agreed to replace two tires and the locking lugs. The assistant said they would call when the car would be ready, expecting it to be early afternoon. Around 4:00 PM, not getting a call, I decided to go to the store anyhow. At the store, the assistant handed the key, and apologized for the missed call. The car was parked away from the store, in an overflow parking. I initially could not find it. I noticed it eventually, and when I switched on the ignition, the low tire pressure came on. Went back to the store, not very happy. Someone drove the car to that overflow parking lot, with the low tire pressure on, and just left it for me to find out. It took 15 minutes to one of the tech. to reset the warning. Conclusion: Discount Tire has plenty of customers, so that particular location does not really care for service quality or my patronage. This will have been my last visit. I will now get my tires from another shop! read more

First time coming here! Mr. Juan took care of my car! I have an old Honda car so I needed to order the size of my tire ahead of time! I ordered late Friday afternoon and it was ready by Saturday morning as I got a phone call right at 8 o'clock! I came to get my car tire replaced and the whole process was smooth and went smoothly! I enjoy the service the provider for me! Recommended for whoever needs car tire replacement! Cheers read more

Discount Tire - Fixed - Tires Near Me - Houston, Texas

I went to this location after having a blowout on the freeway. The technician that greeted me was great! (Reggie) he took time to analyze my tires after he listened to my concerns, he even pointed out an issue from my last visit at another location. He advised the eta to get my vehicle in/out with new tires. After an issue with another location, Phillip was super helpful with rectifying the problem! I'm leaving 3 stars due to my valve stem cap being lost and no one saying anything about it. I have BMW logo caps and even took pics of each tire before they took my car in. And a picture of the generic valve cap they decided to put on my vehicle after. We trust you all with our cars, to do a great job thoroughly. We work hard and choose to bring our vehicles to you all. Discount Tire as a whole has been a complete failure to me in the last almost two years. I'd rather support a small owned business and hope others will too. Quality over quantity ALWAYS. read more

This is not the best looking Discount Tire location but it is the one closest to my house. Overall, it's solid service, fair pricing, convenient. They usually have my tires in stock whereas at Costco, I have to order in advance and be notified when the tires arrive. I feel like the cost of lifetime wheel balance, rotations, and other fees have gone up. I bought 2 tires for $250 each, but after all the extras, the total was closer to $700. The employees are super nice and the service is decently quick (way faster than Costco Tire). It took an hour to change out my tires as a walk-in customer whereas at Costco, it's at least 2 hours and that's with an appointment. My only complaints are that the fridge is not stocked with water and the parking area is sketchy and tiny. You can walk to PJ Coffee if you don't want to wait in the waiting area. read more

They don't honor appointments. My vehicle sat for an hour before starting on it and another customer is complaining that her vehicle is in the same spot she lefg it in 2 hours ago. They could be a little more accurate with appointments. read more

I went to Discount Tire on Long Point as I have been using them for probably 30 years. I was experiencing vibration on the right front wheel and my Pirelli tires had 40,000 miles on them and thought it could be separation. Agreed to install 4 new tires, left the store and on freeway had vibration again. The employee handed me the medallion from the left front wheel, did not understand why they had to remove it or why it no longer would stay in the wheel (more later). Had a family member turn hard left to expose the right tie rod, did not see or hear any knocking in the ball joint. Return to store asked them to check and they returned my car said they did not balance properly. Again on freeway and on a trip had serious vibrations. Researched and the CV axle can cause vibration. Had mechanic to check, the CV axles did not show any cause for concern, BUT ON MOVING THE AXLE, the axle nut allowed 1/8" movement, probably 5-6 turns to full tight. He then check my tie rod and that was my problem. Don't expect DISCOUNT TIRE TO IDENTIFY problems with your car, they are only trained to change out tires. I have the alignment checked 6 months prior and they did not report any tie rod either. read more

Came in due to low tire pressure. 1 st tire was non repairable due to nail. Salesman sold me on getting a 2 nd tire to ensure even tread. If there was a less than one star I would go for it The tire quality is very poor, I paid to change all tires and it should've gave me 60k miles Didn't even give me 2000 miles and the tire is on the ground. Replaced 4 new tires at this place, immediately noticed slow leak from one of the tires. After three days, I went to get it repaired. They put me in the back of all customer list and waited for more than 1-1/2 hours to get the problem found. Repair leaking/nearly flat tire on my RV van. Though very busy, Miguel fit me into their morning customers and the tech finished in 75 minutes from when I walked in the door yo when I walked out. This location is small compared to other discount tire locations. The guys are nice and responsive.

Went in for a tire patch due to one of the tires leaking air slowly. Made an appt for 5:15 7/22/2022 and when we got there the guy said that it is a safety hazard to patch the tire because the inner wall tread was getting low. While I understood what he meant, I don't think he understood what he was fully saying. He said that it's a safety hazard to patch my slowly leaking air tire, that I've been driving around with, because the inner tread was too low. Check me if I'm wrong here, isn't it more of a safety hazard to not patch the tire that's leaking air? Thank the lord for Costco. Why even bother at a place like this The car is a model 3 with 12k mikes on it with factory tires. The tires are ok bro, but I appreciate you not patching it because it's a safety hazard read more

The manger, Corey , was extremely rude and unprofessional on Friday, December 27th. My electric vehicle died as soon as I pulled to get my air checked due to a message indicating that my back left tire was low. ( possible business for him ) . The young lady that was directly helping me was EXCELLENT and understood that it was not my fault. Her name was ESPE. He made it very clear that it was not good for his business that my vehicle had died in his parking lot. He was also very rude when my tow truck driver showed up which shocked me even more. I used to always get the same consistent vibe at all Discount tire locations but he ruined it for me and probably for many others. Like Philip "the manager " stated in our conversation I guess they probably were doing me a favor , I asked him how am I supposed to know if I go to only this location and basically treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about . Instead of trying to use the training a professional should have with customers service he allowed me to get angry and said well can't do nothing about it . What type of service is this .
