If I could leave zero stars, I would. I was charged $135 for a used tire, plus another $30 for installation, balancing, and tire recycling fees. Then they added tax and a card processing fee on top of that. I ended up spending almost $200 for a used tire, which is completely unreasonable. When I spoke to the manager about the pricing, he told me "that's the price" and refused to work with me or adjust anything. Even one of the employees mentioned that he had previously brought up concerns to management about the prices being too high and suggested lowering them. According to the employee, the manager's response was basically, "Those are the prices, and if customers don't like it, they can go somewhere else. We don't care." Very disappointing customer service and pricing. I would not recommend this place. read more

I showed up close to closing time and they did not turn me away in my time of desperation. MY tire was flat/flat with a big screw. I thought it couldn't be saved but they were able to patch it up and I was on my way. Reasonable pricing that was worth the price. I will return here next time i need service. read more

Service was fine. I had a flat tire, but they tried charging me $138 for a used tire. Mind you it's max $40-$50 for a used tire at most places. If you have a spare tire and you use that instead of their tires they charged me $22 to do that service. Overpriced here for sure if you want a tire. Writing this review as i currently sit in the waiting room. Called for an appointment to get an alignment done on Sunday and it's now Saturday. I showed up 20 minutes early and for the appointment and was greeted and told to "bear with them" for a while. Figuring that I was early and they seemed busy I figured they were finishing up with other customers so I agreed and waited. It wasn't until the appointment time passed I slowly realized that their "alignment guy" wasn't actually there yet. Which is also okay, as he's under no obligation to be there before my appointment time, and because it's so early (9 am) maybe there was an assumption that the customer (myself) would not show up. I would've just appreciated the heads up when I got there that that's what i was waiting on. Once he got there, an older mechanic started looking at my car and starting the process so before I went into the waiting room I let him know that I just bought the vehicle about a week ago and it's missing an interior door handle, just a heads up so he doesn't accidentally lock himself in from the drivers side. He completely ignores me which I thought was odd, since in the 20 minutes i've been here I watched him interact with two other customers. I thought maybe he didn't hear me, but then he immediately starts driving the car with the door held open, which tells me he just chose to ignore me speaking. After that, I go to the waiting room with the door handle on my mind as well as the fact I need some other small work done and since i've never been here before I knock on the window and ask the two women at the window what other services they provide as I see advertisements all over the shop for serpentine belts and etc., I speak to one of them who then tells the girl next to her who then responds to her and then responds to me. Weird because we're all literally within 3 feet of eachother, but not the end of the world. She informs me that they only do brakes and suspension, and I respond, "Okay thank you, I was just wondering because I need a window motor replaced and I just wanted to make sure." The girl who telephoned for the main girl smiles and as I walk away, the main girl says "I didn't hear any of that" very rudely and then tells the other girl to close the window. I am expecting the service of the actual vehicle to go okay, and I was quoted $70 before I got here, which is a decent to fair price. I just don't really understand the giant "TIPS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED" sign and all the glowing reviews about customer service when everyone here seems to be pretty rude for whatever reason. Typical in mechanic environments as I myself have worked in them but still unnecessary. Hispanic owned and ran it seems which was also strange to me as I am hispanic myself, born and raised on the mexican american border and they seemed to just blow me off, which they didn't do to any of the other customers (atleast from what I happened to see in passing) Maybe it was the car I brought it, as I just bought it and registered it the week before and it's a project but their customer service seemed to be lacking. UPDATE: So at 9:30 exactly, I was informed that they would not be able to service my vehicle, due to it needing the front end suspension redone, quoting me around $2,090. For a 4 cylinder 01 Honda CRV. $1,170 of that being on parts alone. As I mentioned earlier, I have spent a lot of time working and being around mechanic environments, I just moved to this area so I thought I'd come here since it's convenient, nearby, and the reviews seemed so positive. I actually appreciate that they didn't do the alignment knowing it wouldn't end up correctly, as I buy used often and have had the issue of shops doing that even when I ask beforehand just to be sure. What I don't appreciate is how nice and chipper the saleswomen were now that they were asking me for $2000 to do a suspension kit that takes 2 hours in labor and goes for less than $500. Also, she informed me that th mechanics will inform me more of what the car needs and the process of it all when I went to my car. Laughable. They all just stared at me and walked away as I got closer to the car. They definitely didn't forget to let me know that the suspension check was $30 before I walked out of the waiting room though! Definitely not coming back here, maybe solely to get that $30 to roll over to the alignment that was advertised if I decide to get the work done somewhere else (which i Definitely will) and then return. 2 stars Solely because they let me know what the car needed and didn't just do the alignment knowing it wouldn't end up right. read more

The shop was very professional and got my tire replaced quickly, which I really appreciated. The staff were friendly and the service was fast. My only issue is that after leaving, I later had to replace the rim and buy a whole new tire because of damage that wasn't pointed out to me when the first tire was put on. From what I understand, shops are supposed to check for rim damage before sending a car back on the road. I still think this is a good shop overall, but I would have liked more thorough communication on potential issues to avoid the extra expense. read more

Called for a quote on labor for replacement of front brake pads and routers since i have the parts. They gave me a quote fast of $85. Super friendly and understanding. One of my new routers had rust on them from getting wet and they let me know and even cleaned it for me. It's right next to an H-E-B which is a plus. They even put air in my tires since it was low! not cool I went there for alignment and they gave me $2800 bid saying my control arm stretch, shocks sway bars and basically everything need to be replaced which even everything being replaced the parts alone don't come anywhere near that number and I took it to another shop and they said all of that was fine and they didn't find anything wrong with any of that and all I need was the alignment. It also took them three hours to give me the bid and way this this place used to be just scammers. read more

The staff here were nice and straight to the point. I came in because air was slowly and continuously escaping my tire. My tire was assessed quickly and the gentleman even showed me the nail. I was sure it would cost an arm and a leg, but it was only $15 to repair!!! Awesome! I went to Monterrey Tire Center on a Saturday morning, pulled right up, and received service immediately. For $10 it took about 10min to have the nail removed from my tire and for the tire pressure to be checked. There's a comfy waiting room (with a vending machine)if you do have to be there longer. This company scammed us out of buying three tires. We still have not received our tire back and it has been over a month now. I requested to speak to the management and nobody has contacted me. They told us that if you buy three tires they will warranty them. One of the tires went flat less than two weeks after we bought them and the front desk employee told us that they changed their policy and they do not do that anymore. Very good customer service. I came for tire noise and alignment for my Lexus. They were quick to diagnose the issue and recommended a tire that is better for the car. The technician was very professional and they did the job very quickly. They provide road hazard warranty just like Discount Tire. I ended up using it 2 weeks after when there was a puncture on the side wall. Brought car here on Sunday and they fixed it right away. I just paid for another road hazard insurance on the new tire. These guys saved me again last night after another dishonest body shop tried to swindle me out of a $400 for new tire that wasn't needed. They patched my tire up and had me in and out in 25 min for $20. I love that they are honest here and don't try to take advantage of women or others who they think might not know about cars. When you didn't buy your tires from Discount Tires (new vehicle) and it's Sunday anyway (they are closed Sunday), what do you do? Well, I was the annoyed recipient of a nail to a tire on Saturday evening and already began contemplating how much this was going to ruin my Monday since I needed to get to work and of course, need to attend meetings back to back. Did a quick search and found Monterrey Tire Center. Luckily, the nail was in the tread area and air was keeping in, so I was able to drive home and waited until Sunday morning to get it fixed. Arrived at Monterrey Tire (BTW, next to the new HEB currently under construction, which used to be Fiesta lot) parked my car in an empty spot and was approached by a gentleman who quickly assessed the tire and told me it could be patched. Not sure if there is a waiting area, but I stood by the tire racks which is also in the car bay area to watch the guy in action. I was in and out in 15-20 mins and only spent....$8 for the patch!!! If you need a tire patched, you should do your part to understand where it will be patched if warranty is an issue for you. read more

The best tire repair experience you can possibly expect from a place. Had a good conversation with the manager about nitrogen versus air-filled tires. Took me immediately when I called and only charged $10 for the repair. Even let me watch the entire process and gave me the nail that punctured the tire. These guys make getting a flat tire (about a semi-annual occurrence in Houston highways) as pleasant as a flat tire can be. Thanks again guys!! UPDATE: just took my car in again for a second visit since I found a screw in my front driver tire. It was very close to the side wall and I was fully expecting to buy a new tire. My tire popped on the freeway and it was 7:44 pm and I called this location in hopes of getting a spare but NOT EXACTLY. The guy said that the mechanics wanted to leave already but it was 7:45pm and on here it says you close at 8pm so what's the rush? We had told him we were going to be on our way; just wanted to make sure if he could keep open till we show up BUT NO instead preferred to wrap it up and go home. Very unfortunate that he wasn't able to help us. Luckily, we were able to find a tire shop nearby that OFFERED TO OPEN AFTER HOURS. Now THAT IS what I call excellent service. read more

Very quick and friendly! You never quite know what to expect when it comes to car service (especially as a woman coming in alone), so I was very happy to find friendly technicians and fair prices. I came in for a quick tire patch for a nail in my tire, and they got right down to it and had me on my way fast for $10. He also checked that the patch was sealed proright in front of me, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely recommend it!
