Wow! Just wow. 10/10!!! I have a BMW and damaged my L side mirror. I took it to the dealership and they quoted me $2500 for parts and labor. I didn't need all the parts they were trying to sell me, but they stated that I can't buy parts separately, and there was no way to put the mirror back together without replacing the entire thing. I took my car to Metropolitan collision services, and Jason helped me. Within 10 minutes, my side mirror was put back together and functional.... For free. This place is phenomenal. I'm so happy with the work done on my car. I went in because of a wreck but they were able to buff out some long-time scratches and dings. They cleaned the car so well, it looks brand new! My daughter also got into a wreck of her own (July was a challenging month for us) and her car also looks great, door fixed well and sounds fine when you close it. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE !!! If you love your vehicle- stay AWAY! After doing my research on the best collision place in Houston that service Porsche, I came across Metropolitan Collision. I read the reviews and felt as this was the best place to have my vehicle repaired. However, this has been far from my experience. After waiting a month, I finally was able to drop my vehicle off for repairs. Upon dropping my vehicle off Eddie, my adjuster, sent me over an estimate that was not even close to being accurate. He stated he was not in at the time the Geico adjuster came in to take the pictures and go over the damages. This should have been my first clue that I should have NEVER left my vehicle in their possession. Eddie stated he would go back and forth with the Geico adjuster gets the damages correct. He also informed me that Metropolitan Collision takes the entire vehicle apart, which of course gave me anxiety, to make sure everything was/is addressed. I asked was that necessary seeing that I was rear-ended. He stated that's the process and I did not have anything to worry about. He assured me that my car would look as good as new! What a relief. I take very good care of my vehicles, very good care. Upon receiving a phone call a month later that my car was ready for pickup, I was ecstatic! I missed my vehicle just as much as the next person. After being told I needed to endorse two checks and paperwork, I could get the keys and see my vehicle. I did as I was told. Red Flag !!! They didn't even ask to walk around the vehicle with me before signing. Just sign and check out! Nevertheless, I asked Eddie to assist me with my car seat when I ask him to walk around the car with me to make sure everything was completed. IMMEDIATELY I noticed several things he looked me in my face and told me he didn't even notice it! IT WAS OBVIOUS! You could even make it out on camera. Now I'm extremely worried about the condition of my car and the work that was performed by metropolitan collision. So, I began to check my entire vehicle as he informed me that take my entire vehicle apart to ensure no damages were detected elsewhere. To my immediate surprise, I had scrapes, dings, and marks all over the front of my vehicle. Eddie immediately informed me that my car was "used" and that's what that's from. He even insulted me as though I was a careless driver and that's why my vehicle looked the way it did. I have an excellent driving record! I was rear Ended! He then asked me to provide pictures of the front of my vehicle to prove that my vehicle didn't have any damage prior to coming in. At that time, I didn't recall taking any pictures of the front of my vehicle. He told me that I couldn't prove what my vehicle looked like prior to dropping it off, so it was nothing that could be done. After speaking with my husband, I remembered, I took a picture with my vehicle and you could clearly see that it was in mint condition. Beautiful! Just how I like it. I proceeded to email him a copy of the pictures to prove that it didn't have any issues prior to me dropping it off, other than the wrecked area in the back. He then stated that I was accusing them of damaging my vehicle. That is absolutely CORRECT! If it wasn't their before and now it is! What does that mean? I should have been hesitant from the start to take my vehicle to this repair shop being it took them 3 weeks to start repairs. Instead I trusted this shop based on reviews, and I wanted what I thought would be a great quality of work as well as customer service. I assumed that since they repair such high end vehicles that they would have no problem repairing my Volkswagen being a certified Volkswagen repair shop. It took them 5 weeks to fix my vehicle, so my car was a total 8 weeks out of commission. They repaired the right from bumper, as well as suspension, and my alignment. I was so excited when I was called by Eddie Rivera who I had worked with from the start and he stated my car was ready to be picked up. The next day I picked it up Eddie was not present, and I felt uneasy when I looked my car over and the bumper was not flush, it was sticking out on the side they had repaired. I went back inside, spoke to the owner and he had the techs fix it. My thoughts were, how did you not notice this before calling me? The next day I left my apartment and heard a sound I never heard before on the front right side again where they fixed the suspension, as well as my alignment seeming off as if it was pulling to the right. How could this happen, day 2 of me having my car? I was beyond frustrated because they had my car for 5 weeks. So I'd have to go through the process of repair all over again, and it was around the holidays at that. I didn't want to deal with this any further. After two weeks of hearing this repetitive noise in my suspension first thing in the morning only. I expressed my concerns to Eddie, and he told me to bring it in. They would fix the alignment as well as take a look at the suspension. I agreed that I'd bring it in the next morning. After promising me this, he called me back the end of day saying that they could not repair alignment, being it wasn't warranted but to bring it in. I took it to the shop the next day and of course as I expressed to him beforehand my car only makes a noise first thing in the morning while driving on uneven pavement. By the time I brought my car to the repair shop it was already warmed up. They took a "look," and their response was the unprofessional approach blame it on other things. I said, so basically you're wasting my time right now and have wasted my time in mediocre repairs to say there is nothing you can do. Some warranty they provide. I go to the waiting area, and he comes out and states they have decided to hold my car over night and redo the alignment. When I picked up my car the next day, he shows me the alignment sheet. I drive off still noticing my car is pulling to the left, as well as the noise is still happening first thing in the morning. I called him the next day in the AM, and of course he had the receptionist forward me to his voicemail. Then he sends me an email stating in so many words that there was nothing else they could do. He recommended me to take my care to a Volkswagen dealer, and have them take a look. Of course that requires additional money out of my pocket. I am beating myself up that I made the decision to use this shop. They lack proper customer service, and they refuse to look deeper into the issue because they can't get more money out of my insurance to do so. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Two months after getting my new car, a gigantic Waste Management truck jumped out in front of me. I SWEAR, that's what happened! Okay, so it was my fault, that turn around on Waugh is tricky, and it was raining, and I was tired, ready to go on vacation the next day. I thought the stupid trash truck had already pulled out, so I gassed it, and boom, that's how I ended up at Metropolitan Collision Services. After making sure I wasn't hurt, I slowly drove my poor car to my house, it was worse than I thought. The tank I hit really did a job on my car, although he had no idea I hit him, he kept going. I called USAA, and they sent someone right away, they recommended MCS, and it was near me in the Heights, they also specialized in cars like mine, Audi's, BMW's Mercedes, Porshe, ect. They were able to start on my car while I was on vacation, and constantly gave me updates, estimates, and the good and bad news. They constantly kept in touch with me, and I was assigned Jason who walked me through the whole process. Start to finish the car was done in a reasonable amount of time, and they did a fantastic job. Everything was taken care through the insurance, and the process was smooth. No one likes to have to visit a body shop, but if you must, come to metropolitan!! I was first drawn to there business because of the higher end cars they are repairing(Audi,s BMW, Infinitys). I know these cars aren't cheap and the owners would definately want them looking better than new. So after my ram got rammed by a semi truck. I decided to have Metropolitan work some magic, And they sure did!! They inspected for frame damage and replaced every damaged part with original manufacture parts from mopar. I dont usually write reviews on Yelp.. but having forgotten my password and being nearly locked out of my account, I've finally managed to log in to say a few words about this place. Firstly, I'm the type of guy to keep a microfiber cloth by my computer, glovebox, and in my trunk. I notice every window streak and rattle in my... office building. I also spent as much money on my phone to protect the screen as the phone costs itself. Maybe it's beacuse I'm an engineer or beacuse I have OCD tendencies (at least not clinically, heh) but I consider myself to be very detail oriented. To my girlfriend, I love you for putting up with me! All of this said, I've been a returning and reaffirmed customer on less than fortunate circumstances of Metro since 2009. 4 years ago, my BMW was involved a rear-ender coming home from the dealership. Fast forward to today, my MB with less than 4K miles has had its fair share of problems from run-in's with incompetent shops. In both cases, Metro has been there to restore my car to new, at least within the scope of their responsibilities. Their workmanship is top-notch and has never let me down. Are they perfect? No one is, as I've certainly learned the hard way. However, their consistently great work and customer service keeps me coming back. Metro's turnaround is quick, and they are very transparent and prompt in communicating. Their prices and rates cannot be beaten, certainly not for OEM parts (unless you've agreed with aftermarket) and their workmanship. When I learned it would cost me literally HALF of the cheapest dealership to perform a window replacement job, Metro was a no-brainer knowing that there would be no compromise in the parts and quality of work. They are in fact an authorized repair center for many premium brands such as BMW, MB, Audi, etc. Know that insurance companies make incidents stressful (at least with my previous insurer). Metro does not, and they will stand by your side. Most insurance companies will insist on using aftermarket parts as opposed to OEM but that is against Metro's philosphy - this is why we get along. STOP -- read this first. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I came in with a simple 5 inch dent along the top of my trunk. It took them 4 weeks to fix this. The timeline changed every single time it was the day to pick up. WAIT there's more, these people took the A5 emblem off of my car, then when it was time to put it on again, scratched my car. I did not learn of this until I called to pick up the car at the time we agreed on. Please note that this occurred the day before and nobody said a thing until I called. They told me that they would need to buff out the scratch, repaint the car and put the emblem back on. Next day, I go to get my car, as we agreed upon. They tell me it's not ready AGAIN bc they need to put the emblem on (STILL). I finally come to get the car, pay for everything, rush back to my office. The A5 emblem is not on the car. I called the owner and he tells me that the emblem broke when they tried to put it on. Ok, first, the emblem just scratched the car, now it's completely broken. Also, they knowingly took my money knowing the car was not entirely fixed. Literally did not say anything! Instead they waited until I saw it. I am 100% convinced that they would have never said a thing. That's borderline thievery. I finally come to get the emblem put on, it took 20 min for them to find it and nobody knew I was coming, after being told to come that morning. How do you take your car to a shop for a dent to be fixed and end up with 2 more damages ??? A scratch and a missing emblem. Not to mention his entire team was very awkward toward me the moment I came through the door -- I wonder why. Additionally, this was all handled by Mark McKay, who spoke to me despairingly the entire time I was involved with the shop. Four weeks without my car, in a rental, not getting any updates from Mark, having to pry information out of him, damages to my car caused by the shop during repairs of something else ... all of this and all the owner could say was sorry. read more

For reference, I give very few businesses less than 3 stars, and only a paltry few receive 1 star. If I practiced my profession like this, I would be fired, maybe even lose my license. Additionally, although, the "quarter panel" was repaired well, there is a bit on the bumper which was nicked and dinged. It appears someone just dabbed some paint on it, though a closer inspection reveals the underlying abrasion is still present. I noticed it the next day, but I refuse to have any further contact with Metropolitan. When I return home, I will have my quality shop fix this. (If you're in Las Vegas, I have a great shop for you!) I only hope Metropolitan's "repair work" will hold in the coming months. If not, again, I will return to my quality shop. ***My original review follows: Do NOT bring your vehicle here. I'm not sure from where all the 5 stars reviews come because my experience was sub-par, at best. I took my car in for some minor damage repair - paint and body, no frame or underlying issues at all. It was being covered by the insurance of the other driver who caused the damage. Metropolitan offered 4 days for repair. Nationwide offered 5. The Nationwide appraiser was generous enough to give an extra day of padding. When I got the original estimate from the Metropolitan rep, I was informed I couldn't bring my car back for three weeks. I've never had to wait like that anywhere else before and asked why. He said it was so they made sure everything was in order, so there'd be no delays. Wait until you read how long it actually took... I dropped my car off on a Tuesday. They said it should be ready by Friday or Saturday. Great because I was off Saturday. No call on Friday. No big deal because I was working. 11am Saturday, and I've receive no call, so I call. The secretary directs me to voice mail. I leave a message. No return call hours later, so I call back. No answer. At all. And no voice mail. And they're closed Sunday. Now we're on to Monday - 7 days. I call. Directed to VM again. No answer several hours later. I call again. Speak to my rep. He says there's been a delay. It should be done Wednesday. Woah! That's 9 days. But it'll work, since I'm off that day. (Did I mention? I work 12 hour shifts. This becomes pretty relevant later.) Wednesday comes. I call for an update. "Yeah, sorry, we're going to need another day, but it'll be ready then. I swear!" (Paraphrased.) Ok, sure. But it needs to be ready tomorrow because I work all weekend (Fri-Sun, 0645-1915). (See where this is going?...) "Yes, it will be ready tomorrow!" Thursday. Day 11. I receive a phone call from them. I'm excited because my baby's ready! "You're going to hate me for this, but we're going to need another day." No, I don't hate you because I have no personal relationship with you. But I think your business practice is flawed, at best. "There's a wrinkle in the paint, and we just can't return it to you like this, so we need another day to fix the paint." How do you argue with this?? I remind him that I'm working all weekend and will be physically incapable of picking up my car until Monday. He says ok. I also suggest that I'm not paying for the detail/wash/wax I originally asked for. "Oh, of course not!" I also suggest that they should pay for the additional rental car time and not shaft Nationwide. since this is their fault." Oh, absolutely!" On Saturday, I receive a call from the Nationwide rep. He received a call from Metropolitan that my car was ready but was informed I can't pick it up because I'm out of town (nope!), and he got permission from his boss to extend it through Monday. Nice. Metropolitan: You are a prime example of why collision shops get a bad reputation from people. If you can't make a viable estimate, then don't! And don't try to con an insurance company because that gets passed onto the consumer! Not ironically, as Enterprise was driving me to Metropolitan, the other passenger and I commiserated about our bad experiences. He said he'd gone through the same sort of wasteful delay with them in the past - which is why he was being driver to an entirely different shop. So, it took 12 days to get my car back. It looks great. You did the most basic of what's expected of you. You are the McDonald's hamburger of collision repair. read more

When my mode of transport was rear-ended by kryptonite, in this case a drunk driver, I was referred to MCS. Car accidents are very frustrating to deal with but Metropolitan made the process smooth. They worked with the other party's insurance and got me back on the road quickly. They provided me updates for when parts were ordered, when the parts arrived, and when they would be assembled. Metro completed the repairs and my car was restored to pre-crash conditions. The customer service here is second to none. The repairs they did to my bumper and undercarriage were flawless. I came here after a person who shall remain unnamed backed into my new A4 (despite the fact that he/she had a backup camera!). If you are unfortunate enough to have to visit a collision repair shop, you should go to Metropolitan for 3 reasons: 1. Prices are reasonable. Their price was almost exactly what another repairman quoted me (who happens to be a close family friend, although out of the Houston area and unable to perform the repair). 2. Work was fast and thorough! They finished my repair in about 2 and a half days, which is quick considering they did such a great job. You could not tell the car had been damaged at all. 3. Customer services is awesome. Kevin R. took care of everything. When I went to pick the car up, it was cleaner than it was off the dealer's lot. The interior (which sustained no damage) was spotless--vacuumed and stains removed! The entire exterior was stunning as well. There is no better body shop in Houston. Andy, the owner, is a true professional. He's been in the business for decades and is the only guy I trust for body work. It's no surprise that Metropolitan Collision is the exclusive repair shop for some high end dealerships in town, including BMW. Yes, the work might take longer than some body shops, but with Andy you know it will be done right. I've taken my car in to repair a window that wouldn't roll up, among other things. I had some very intensive corrective repairs done to my BMW after Sterling Mccall collision center in clear lake performed some... shady work to say the least. The lady at the front desk was so kind, and a tremendous help with making my appointment when I had to reschedule a couple times. From the second I dropped my vehicle off, Kevin validated my concerns and was extremely helpful- as was the entire team here. He was extremely accommodating, and helped me out multiple times with some additional requests I had. He even provided photos throughout the process, and provided frequent updates on my vehicle status. This shop is INCREDIBLY detail oriented, which I was extremely happy about. I picked my car up looking even better than when I first got it. Not a single panel gap or misalignment in sight, which was a major issue with the previous shop. I contacted Metropolitan Collision, as we have used this company for repairs on our other BMW and Mercedes cars. Ten days later I picked the car up and was extremely pleased with the quality and cleanliness of the work. The paint is a perfect color match and is now showroom finish quality. I brought my 2018 Audi Q5 here because it is an Audi certified body shop. However, the repair quality was poor. I had some front bumper damage that was a total about $2,500 (other insurance paid for it) and the repair left the front unsymmetrical. Also, they missed a cracked plastic part and had to repair it a second time. The headlights were not adjusted properly either to line up the shine. I've been to metropolitan collision several times and was always happy service. Until now. Had an accident repaired by them about 12 months ago. now when I'm selling that car, the appraisers are pointing out flaws with the repair including paint drips and work that may hide other problems. Due to metros work, my car cannot be sold by the dealer but has to be auctioned off only. This is a few thousand out of my pocket. Lesson learned: have another shop review the results.
