First time getting my state car inspection here - highly recommend and will return next year. Super quick and efficient, although a bit unorthodox and unexpected (in a good way). I pulled in a spot upon arrival and before I could get out of my car, someone walked up to see what service I needed. Upon requesting an inspection he took my keys and insurance and pointed me to sit inside. There were already 4 people inside so I sat at their little table. The unorthodox part was no one checked me in, asked for my name, or any other info. 15-20 min later, a lady walks in, points at me, and says my car is ready. So I walked up and paid and then one of the mechanics handed me my keys, insurance card, and pass/fail paper and that was it. The unexpected part was no one tried to upsell me on unnecessary fixes. How refreshing! I wanted a state inspection and that's all I got. Love it! They processed those state inspections very efficiently and everyone was in and out in short order. Some kind of organized chaos but it worked. I've never had such a quick inspection and not having to deal with an upsell was such a relief. The waiting area is clean but small. Four chairs, a table with 3 more chairs and a couple of stools that can maybe be used. read more

no cheaper than the dealer, light on the oil. just barely to the bottom line. wouldn't have checked except they made a big deal out of showing me it was full. guess they thought I was ignorant of the care and feeding of engines. Or didn't know how to check myself. Also no comments on the missing skid plate. I know they get trashed, mine has been twice now, once ata mechanics neglect once by a deer. I could care less if my vehicle failed inspection, I know your job is to pass/fail vehicles. What I do CARE about is to get notified on the spot, which the lady didn't do. Because of that, after repairs and replacements, it lead me to miss the retest. I've had many good experiences with you guys in the past which is why I have serviced my vehicle in 2020 and 2021, in where I passed emissions fine. I didn't get her name, but the lady who handles the cash register and customers is friendly, informative, considerate, and even knowledgeable about cars. Everyone was professional and didn't try to oversell me. They communicate with me and let me know what can wait to help me save money. She went above and beyond helping me out today and I greatly appreciate it. The waiting area is clean, one of the cleanest I've ever seen. The mechanics didn't rush the job and took time to listen to me. I'm glad I found a shop I feel like u cna trust to not overcharge or upsell me and also provide good, quality work. I will not return to this location as they advised me that they rotated my tires and didn't. When I brought it to the managers attention, the mechanics fessed up that they didn't rotate them. I was planning to let that go and not write a review. However, they broke a piece of my wheel off and decided to tape it back. See photos. For that they are getting 1 Star, don't lie to me and also don't try to hide a mistake you made. I would have been understanding if I was advised that a piece of my wheel broke off during the rotation. Update: Ashton called and stated that he does not understand why I would post a review and say that they broke a piece of my wheel off when they did not. Not quite sure what Ashton thought he could accomplish by harassing me verbally, he was defensive and confrontational in our conversation. He never apologized once or offered refund. Fine, Ashton, maybe your employees did not break a piece of my wheel off and tape it back. But, it still does not change the fact that I paid for a service walked outside, noticed that my wheels were not rotated and your employees said they found my locks when they didn't. I was still lied too. Again: Please look at the poor response from the business owner. Everything he stated had nothing to do with my tires not being rotated. I payed $30 for a tire rotation that was not completed. I brought it to Ashtons attention and was not offered a refund. Instead they did the work I already paid them to do. All of the extra stuff you outlined has nothing to do with my review. It's just added noise. Sir, if you have all the video in the world. Then please go back to the time I was there and listen to Ashton complaining how you're in his own words "so fucking annoying because you watch the cameras all day" while I was sitting in your lobby after 6 waiting for my car to be serviced. Your response lacks understanding of the client service relationship. Instead, you choose to blame me for your employees lack of service. The customer service is stellar and unmatched, I challenge you to find a mechanic shop where they are so concerned about your well being and safety. There is definitely a personal touch that you don't see when you go to the mechanic, being a woman I know a lot of you ladies know exactly what I mean lol. That doesn't happen here, they've given me air in my tires and recommended me to a tire shop to take care of my flats! Sorry, it's not a "feeling" that your mechanic overfilled, it's fact: when my Modern car's computer/ sensors tells me that the engine oil was over filled, I'm pretty sure that that substantiates that it was overfilled; when I checked my oil (yes, while my car was on a level surface--I'm in my 30's and have been checking my oil for years) and the oil is WAY past the the mark of where it's suppose to be, that substantiates that it was overfilled; when I siphon out a FULL QUART of oil and check the oil again and the level is barely in the acceptable range, that substantiates that it was overfilled. So based on what you're telling me, from your video surveillance, you can tell that your machine/ computer/ whatever gauges you're using were absolutely correct? Wow, that's a really smart HD surveillance system that you have installed--one that can read data values and monitor that your computers and sensors are working accurately and that a visual "quality" check also was done correctly: I'm impressed. I'd be more impressed if your response was a simple apology...accountability is what drives business to grow--not assuming that your customers are dumb and checking their oil at a gas station built on an incline? read more

Louis and all of the staff there are great. We were on a road trip from FL to CA when my VW Rialta RV kept stopping on the freeway. We went to one place but they couldn't help because it was running at the time. The people at Kwik Kar took it with us on a test drive and when it stopped had a few ideas of the problem.Kept it overnight to do more diagnostics. Found multiple codes and thought it could possibly be a key code malfunction. They were looking for a qualified locksmith when I decided on their earlier suggestion that I have the dealer check it out. They charged me the minimum and there advise was spot on. In response to your response, I firmly stand by my comment. Regarding the front brake pads, they were done within the past year in Oklahoma. Your tech said there was 10 percent left on the brake pads in the front. When the car was back in Oklahoma the following week after your recommendation it was noted by my place there that there was still 70-75 percent left on the front brake pads. This is factual and the truth. What your technician suggested Service technician said was neither true or correct. read more

Short story: Luis was honest and straight forward about helping me find the cheapest parts, service, and saved me over $1,000 on Catalytic converter repair. Long story: Luis agreed to help me and my girlfriend figure out the cheapest solution to change her catalytic converter by helping me find the correct parts from O'Rileys, Amazon, and stuck to the quoted price with no hidden fees (a pretty pricey fix where i was originally quoted $1,785 -$2,000 from Scott's down the road). In totality, Luis was able to help me get the Oxygen Sensors for $200, Entire Catalytic Convertor on Amazon for $135 ($440 at O'Rileys) and service of $260. The total cost of the parts and service was roughly $600, nearly $1,185 - $1,300 cheaper then other quotes that charged me $155 to run a diagnostic test to confirm what I already got done for free at O'Rileys. We moved to Richmond late 2013 and now 2021, we still drive to this location because the owner, Managment and mechanical staff are far above other locations. I live closer to another KWIK KAR and chose this location because they value customers and quality service. I'm never pressured by up sales but instead given notification of what may be needed at the next service, given price estimates and brought out to the vehicle and showed what is observed. They have knowledge of my plug in hybrid and my husbands luxury vehicle. They will give you a ride home if you're work is expected to take a long time. My family and I were referred here almost 7 years ago after our usual mechanic/auto man retired. We have been coming ever since for inspections and quick fixes, and the owner is extremely nice. I've had my car serviced here at least 5 times now, and the employees are always incredibly nice and friendly. They do a great job, and for once I don't feel like this place makes up service needs to get money. Sometimes I stop in to have them fill my tires, which they happily do at no charge. I also brought an electric scooter here which needed professional tools for a tire change. They called around to find me a new inner tube, waited as I picked it up, and did all the work at no charge! I will always come back here bc they are trustworthy, friendly, and it's a clean place. These guys are really awesome and I appreciate the care I receive. read more

The service advisor offered to top off oil (car was a quart low) vs. full oil change because I was not yet due for a change. It would have saved me quite a bit over an oil change which I appreciated. I want to change my engine oil; while resetting my dashboard oil % they accidently changed (I guess) the setting of my turning-indicator in dashboard and it stopped clicking; I called them as soon I came out of the shop but they started arguing instead of listening to my point. My point was - setting might have changed and can they look into it and reset it with the dashboard button combinations (I did it my self in after playing with options in dashboard for few min); but the guy over the phone started arguing, shouting over my voice, giving illogical excuse that battery is dying, etc and disconnected before I could finish talking. Very poor customer service and very disrespectful over the phone when you open discussion/talk with any issue they might have caused. I DO NOT recommend this shop to any one. STAY AWAY. read more
