Another employee even joked that "looks like she's not having it," and I responded that yes, I wanted to leave. The fact they could clearly tell I was uncomfortable and kept going anyway was incredibly inappropriate. Since they had already started the oil change, I felt stuck there until it was finished. Women should be able to get their cars serviced without being made uncomfortable by employees.

After waiting about 10-15 minutes with no movement, I decided to look for another option in the area and found this Jiffy Lube. When I arrived, there were only a couple of cars in the bay, so the wait was minimal. As soon as I pulled in, I was greeted by a very friendly staff member who directed me into the bay and then showed me to the waiting area. The waiting area has chairs (no tables), and there is Wi-Fi available, which was a nice touch. The emissions test itself took about 15 minutes and costs $18.50. Another staff member checked me out, printed my receipt, let me know that everything passed, and even walked me out to my car. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and professional, and the service was quick and efficient. They also offer oil changes (synthetic costs $110+tax), which are a bit more expensive compared to deals you might find on Groupon. That said, if you need an emissions or inspection test done, I would definitely recommend this Jiffy Lube location for its speedy service and friendly staff.

I confess that I am not a trusting person when it comes to these two. With that disclaimer I will now share my experience with Christian Brothers Automotive in West Galleria. I needed to pass my car inspection which failed due to an engine light being lit. My Chevy 2015 Impala needed 2 very expensive repairs. No need to go into any more details because than that. Now about the 2 front desk personnel John and Dave. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and patient in explaining the needed repairs, the cost and the time needed to do the repairs. These two men were OUTSTANDING!! At one instance I needed more info and John very patiently pulled up a YouTube video on my phone to better explain the steps needed to pass. Now that is a very personal touch. They also were able to transport me back and forth for 2 days with no hassle. Now for some amazing news is that for 1 trip they were short handed but out came a guy named Paul who was very friendly in our conversation on the way to the shop. In the process I found out that he is the owner. No wonder everyone was so friendly and professional as the basis was established by the owner. I thought it was so cool to be greeted by my first name as I entered the super clean waiting area. The waiting area was as clean as any doctor's waiting room and the background music was outstanding. Here I came around 5OM after work and joined a quite long cue. I was given a worse prognosis in my tires than the other location gave just earlier that day. I was quoted a 1.5 hour wait. People who came in after me left before me but I can't say what they needed or if they had an appointment. 2 hours later I checked in because I needed to pickup my dog and was tired of being there. After 2 hours they told me they couldn't fix the tire and I needed a new one. I asked for pricing and they said hold on and checked out 2 other customers instead. I asked them to just put my tire back on as it wasn't completely flat and instead they put it to the side. I again asked for it to be put on so I can go. They were clearly very busy but they stayed past closing time to complete the people who arrived before closing. They just turned out to be utterly useless for me.
