I've been to various Jiffy Lube locations in the past 10+ years. This has got to be the WORST one. I moved to the area 2 years ago and this was the closest location. I tried to be understanding and thought the first time was just a fluke with customer service. Then I went a second time with my partner and they were not ready for service at open time. My partner decided not to get her car serviced. The following time after that she took my car to Valvoline (terrible). Today, I decided to give them another chance. Third times a charm right? WRONG. I pulled up about 8:15am. An employee comes over and asked what I needed and I said oil change. He asked me to pull up behind a truck and then walked away. So I'm just sitting in the car waiting...... he didn't say to wait or he'll be right back. Then I see another employee pulling up and heading in. Walked right past me and then he walked out to their service area. Mind you, I'm still sitting in the car. This is definitely not the Jiffy Lube service I'm accustomed to. I'll never go back here again. I rather drive the extra mileage to another Jiffy with better customer service! read more

RUDE and Unprofessional Service! I went in simply to ask for an estimate on an oil change and politely asked how much it would be along with the expected wait time. The man working told me "$99 to $110," to which I responded, "That's okay, no thank you." His response? "I didn't want to do it anyways." Completely uncalled for, unprofessional, and disrespectful. Took my car in Saturday they tried to sell me on replacing the cabin air filter and the engine air filter but even after I told them I would do it myself they still pushed until I said for the third time I'm taking care of it myself. So I went to change the cabin air filter and discovered that they broke the snaps that hold the door of the air filter so now I can't get into the cabin air filter. When I call them up all I got was well just bring it back in but that's an inconvenience to me at the moment and I told them I just wish they took responsibility for their mistake and he hung up on me. I went to the Jiffy Lube at 1619 Gessner Rd for an oil change and tire rotation. I looked over from the office and saw that my hatch from the center console was open and an employee was going through the console. There was nothing in there worth stealing but is did creep me out. When I got home to put the receipt in the glove box, he went through that also. I will never be going back to that Jiffy Lube again. I am sure the employee was looking for something to steal because there is nothing in the console or glove box that would improve the oil change and tire rotation. read more

I recently took my car in for state inspection at store #2131 (inspection Station #2P35585) as it's close to my office and right off the bat they tried to sell me a new engine air filter. I told the technician that I recently replaced it (during previous oil change), and it didn't require replacement, he agreed and went on with the state inspection. He then told/showed me the brake fluid level was low and according to his boss it would require a break flush in order for him to pass this state required inspection. I challenged this assessment and pointed out the level was 1/4" below "MAX" which is normal operating range, not to mention I just had all brake pads and rotors replaced one day prior to this event and brake fluid level was noted as acceptable in their report. I was asked to go back to the waiting area, and he would get everything wrapped up. After about a 10-minute wait I was called to pay my bill. I received a $25.50 charge for FAILED state inspection due to "Master Cylinder - Fluid Level". As I waited for my paid receipt of the invoice the owner/manager was constantly yelling at his employees in an unprofessional manner. A few days later I was able to take my car into a reputable shop near my home in Katy, Tx. I have used this shop in Katy, Tx. for state inspection over the past 5 years. I did not alter the brake fluid level as it was in operational range per OEM prior to my arrival. The car passed inspection, and I was on my way but another $25.50 charge. I am very disappointed in the service rendered at store #2131 and would not recommend them for anything, not even air in a tire. I have owned and operated an automobile since I was 16 years old and have experience 45 state inspections on my vehicles over the years. I have never come across any nonsense that this place is trying to push on people. Feel sorry for the people that just don't know any better and do what these thieves tell them they need to do. Manager does not know Texas law for inspection requirements. Did not want to perform the inspection because the sticker was still valid. Vehicle was bought by another company and state requires another emission test and inspection to be performed. I got my oil changed here over the weekend. While I was waiting they informed me that my AC filter and the engine filter need to be changed as well. I knew that this was true because when I took my car to the dealership previously they had told me the same thing but with a completely different estimate. Along with that I had to get some minute thing changed as well which I can't quite recall (as you can see from my reviews that car related stuff is not my forte) but it was all within a reasonable price change. Over here I received excellent customer service and the prices were not outrageous. I am not sure if I liked how dirty the keyboard was that they gave me to type in my information but what else can I expect at a mechanic shop. Overall, it was one of the best experiences I have had getting an oil change. And it was all done in a jiffy! read more

Really wish I could give them no stars. I came to this location for a state inspection. Simple. The employee doing my inspection, ​however, backed my car up into his boss's parked car. The rear driver's side is now missing paint and the bumper is cracking. Scratches everywhere. They never apologized and just told me I needed to go to a body shop, get an estimate to fix it, and bring it back to them so they could cover the costs. So I went to a body shop, got a quote, and took it back to Jiffy Lube. I gave it to the manager and as he and another employee reviewed it, the employee laughed at my estimate. The manager went to look at my car and said the damage was there before his employee hit my car. I said it wasn't then he said the estimate was too much money and I needed to go get cheaper estimates. Not only did THEY damage my car but they also want ME to run around looking for the best price so they don't have to pay a lot. This location and the people working here are ridiculous. My truck was taken in for a oil change well what was supposed to be a oil change my truck made it down gessner to clay rd. and broke down. Had to get it towed home my mechanic came out the next day and come to find out this Unprofessional Person. If I went for a oil change why dont my truck have oil b.s. on the hill thing because that would not make sense why my car stopped in the middle of the road if you did the oil change correctly it would be full to the line whether on a hill or not it would have read. I had a Groupon to this place and called on a Saturday morning asking what the wait was. The very, very rude guy on the other end of the phone told me that if we came right now, we would be next up. We were already on our way. We could not have been more than two minutes away...when we arrived, there was a line of cars six deep. Since we had the time and the coupon, we decided to wait it out. But since it was near lunch, we were also feeling hungry. Since our car was now number seven on the list, we went to ask if we could walk across the street to the Tex-Mex place and get a bite to eat. The same guy on the phone that told us there would be no wait told us that we had to wait to fill out our paper work before we could go anywhere. When we asked to fill it out, he walked away, even as we kept calling for him. Well, we waited for an hour and our car was up. Another worker helped us fill it out, and said it would take about 15 to 20 minutes to finish. We asked if we had time to get a taco across the street, and he said yes. It could not have taken more than two minutes to walk across the street, and by the time we sat down, we watched our car pull out of the shop. From the time we walked out to the time we sat down, it could not have been more than four to five minutes. If you know the neighborhood and know the restaurant across the street, you can vouch for the fact that it would NOT have taken long to get across the street. Our car was done within moments of leaving the shop. We sat in the shop, hungry, for an hour, to fill out paper work that took 10 seconds. They would NOT let us fill it out until the car was up. But they also wouldn't let us leave to get a quick bite. Like I said, we sat there for an hour with absolutely no help. Terrible, terrible service. Well, its not like state inspections are hard to do on a 2010 car... but regardless, driving up and down Gessner, I wasn't comfortable with just any shop (there were SO many around) so I decided to stop in a chain place. I got greeted right away, the staff were courteous and very welcoming. I think about 5 were working during a Saturday afternoon. Took about 15mins, got it done and on the way home. Quick and easy customer service. Dropped by here Friday around lunchtime and waited 30 minutes for an oil change. I tried calling them beforehand to see how long the wait was but the guy on the phone seemed rushed. Don't be discouraged though because in person, everyone is very kind and hard working! You arrive and park your car in line and go to the waiting room, which is a little on the smaller side that fits maybe 12-15 people. They play the radio and have water for you. As your car's turn comes up, they call you back outside so you can fill in your name and other info on the computer. Then you choose what type of oil, as the representative recommends you which one too. I had an issue paying initially with my ARI card but they took care of everything. Called ARI for me and got it sorted out. I did tire rotation too which only took ten minutes. All in all I'd come by this jiffy lube again. I came I to jiffy lube for an oil change . And I wanted to give a shout out to Francisco for taking good care of me and my car . My air filter was a tad bit on the dirty side and needed replacement. They mentioned it to me and it wasn't to pricy so I got that changed as well as my oil . He also topped of my coolant and windshield whipper fluid . I was out there quick and fast . All that took about 20 minutes . No complaint here . They even reset my oil life on my dash and gave me a new sticker for my car . For reminders . Definitely will be returning to this location . I had an expired Groupon for an oil change. To my surprise, they honored it anyway. So the experience started out great. However, the wait was so long. Maybe an hour. There was only one other car there, so I'm not sure why it took so long. The waiting room was tiny, had a loud air conditioner running, and smelled like smoke. So I waited outside. The guys were nice and went over the diagnosis and all. Oil change was done. I would have given it 4 stars until I had an oil change done after that at the Toyota dealership. They discovered that the part that the filter was supposed to screw into had been damaged, probably because the previous oil change had used an incorrect tool for my Prius. So Toyota had to replace that part. That made me mad. I wouldn't go back. read more

Sarcasm has no place in a place of business The older slender Black man that works there caught an attitude because he didn't know how to apply my Uber discount and tried to deny it and told me I had to call Uber. When I told him I use it all the time at the regular location his attitude became extremely unprofessional. I have taken my truck to this location faithfully every 6 weeks or so to get the oil changed. I had never had a bad experience until today. The oil change went fine. But when they rotated my tires 3 of the lug posts magically became stripped. I had to walk to the Oreilys down the street to purchase 3 new lug nuts as they were ruined. 2 hours later they tell that they got 1 lug nut back on but don't have the tool to fix the other 2 posts and now I'm driving home with my one of my wheels missing 2 lug nuts. I am generally not one to go to yelp and complain about poor service but this is unacceptable. In fact I created this yelp account because I feel so strongly about this. I will be taking business elsewhere from now on. Edit 8-1-17. I just got my truck back from my mechanic and $349.23 later I now have fully functioning lug posts on my truck. He was very informative on things I needed done and also listened to me as a customer about where my budget was. There was no run around or overcharging a lady like so many places do. My idiot brother needed to get his car inspected and literally drove past 10 places before pulling into here. Glad we did though because the employees were super nice and got his inspection done in less than 10 minutes. Their lobby could use a bit of remodeling or touch up however. The walls paper or paint or whatever they have is peeling and they ran out of coffee which is sad. Overall we were in and out fairly quick so it wasn't a huge deal read more

Luckily, they had one cap left to replace it. Glad they could help me even though they probably over charged me for the cap, but not like I had any other options.
