Kris was efficient & very professional at the front desk, and helped me get certificates for the tires since I forgot to do so online. I also forgot to ask him if I could keep a specific tire, and when I did, he was happy to refund me the disposal fee & let the garage team know. I had an excellent experience at this location. I was driving my daughter's car when the low tire pressure came on. I pulled into this location having never been there before. A young man immediately came out, checked all four tires and discovered a huge nail in the tire along with a bubble in another tire which he showed me. I was then assisted in the office promptly with an assurance that they would be done in 1.5 hrs after putting on 4 new tires. The problem with this particular store is that they have outgrown this facility and there is no clear person in charge and people running the front end. I have bought multiple sets of expensive tires here and appointments are useless even when paid for in advance. Last set prepaid and booked for 4pm and I was there early, truck not on the rack until 5:15. This is unacceptable. They need more front end waiting chairs and maybe a coffee and coke machine. Staff is pleasant and knows their job, however you must always check your vehicle and all components when leaving. Missing trim rings & center caps do happen. Solution: Permanent counter man Wipe the place down in lobby with 409 Get more chairs Arrange your help to take a bay and stay there Quit wasting so much time on free air fills And walk ins and take care of your paid reservations first. Went there to just get a new tire changed under warranty and they stripped my lug nut saying it "just fell out" and tried to blame it on another discount tire (which was over 6,000 miles ago). Told me to go to a dealership to buy another one and bring it back for them to change. Disappointing they can't take responsibility for something so small. The assistant manager that I spoke to said "it's only a few dollars" as if that's the reason I was upset. Will not ever go back to this location. I went in because my car was reading one of my tires with a low psi. Rather than help me fix the problem (or acknowledge why I came in in the first place), the man at the front desk was adamant on selling me four new tires. Considering my tires are only a couple months old and I live in a new neighborhood full of construction, I can only assume he was trying to sell me tires because he thought I wouldn't know better. Do not recommend this Discount Tire I just wanted to express my frustrations with this team. I've been a customer for over 20 years with different vehicles. I bought 2 of the same tires a less than a year ago and you all charged me $524 for the same 2 tires. Their team also broke one of my wheel lugs when you all installed them last year. Today I am charged $734 for the same 2 tires and your team breaks another wheel lock. I am about to have a baby in less than 4 days and I am inconvenienced with having to go to Garage Guys repair to fix my car again. No other discount tire breaks my wheel lug nor does any other place that rotates out my tires (Nissan, NTB, Auto Care, Discount Tire, etc) only this store. Their employees do not care and blame other reasons for why this happened. If you don't want to be inconvenienced or overcharged go else where. Very disappointed and dissatisfied customer! read more

Stay away from these guys, they'll strip the studs on your tires and not tightened the lugs before you drive home. It's a dangerous situation to find out the lugs weren't tightened on the tires after you drove home. Also good luck getting the lugs from them that they stripped off. They seem to always be on order. Corporate headquarters needs to look into this location as they are giving Discount a bad name. Update: After sending an email to corporate they got in touch with the management and I received the lug nuts. Issue was resolved. read more

After discovering my Hankook tires did not have a warranty. Bought a 2021 Honda CRV, discovered the depth depth with 16,300 needed replacing. Austin and Greg came to my assistance and called the manufacturer to enquirer what might be done if anything. The call resulted in no relief. It is good to know there are still pockets of business offering good service and employees with good people skills. Came here to obviously .... buy tires lol. There's always a line when I come, but they try to go as fast as they can. Last time I went I had a huge nail in my tire that was causing the air pressure light to come on. Since I had insurance I thought they would just change the tire and replace it ( reason why I buy my tires at discount tire). They were able to patch the tire, and the guy who worked on it said he didn't think they could be it's done. I've been a customer at DT for 24 years. Went to the Rosenberg, Tx store recently for rotation and to replace two TPS. Lady told me I had one tire that was slightly below minimum tread depth. She REFUSED to rotate my tires unless I bought a new tire. I mentioned my history with DT. She said, "SIR!...I cannot service your car.". I found a new tire store near my home in Needville...HOMETOWN TIRE. They were happy to service my car and explained they will beat DT prices all day long. Will never go back to discount tires due to this location. I ONLY get my tires at discount tire. This is the second time they have tried to scape a warranty claim. Their justification is that the manufacturing date on the tire was older than the other two and they "would never" put on a tire that's a few years old. How is the year of the tire they put on in my control? Due to their own negligence they are avoiding responsibility for my claim. Be careful when you purchase KEEP ALL RECEIPTS to prove your claim. Will be taking my business to Firestone going forward, they are open longer, beat prices elsewhere, and provide much better customer service. Waited for 3 hours to get tires changed that had already been paid for 4 days prior. Had I not been watching they would have installed new tire on spare rim. Ran over the wheel cap and said they would buy me a new one and call when they get it. Still waiting on a call and the ford dealership is just across the street. Worst experience ever!!! read more

I am here to tell you, spend the extra 14 minutes and drive down here, they are the best and always have been. Consistently. Bought a new set of Michelin's for my wife's car that I am now driving and bought her a new Forester as she is getting older and needs to sit higher to see and feel safe. Friendly, helpful, honest, respectful, downright makes you feel good to walk in. My wife's tire had a 1/2" bolt stuck in the tread sideways from the 59 freeway. (In the backseat of my car and she is running to work on a puny new car spare.) I took it with me to work and spoke with Leo at Discount Tire at Hwy 90 and University, Sugar Land Tx. He told me, "Sure, I'll order the tire, you come down and drop it off, we'll have it fixed by 4:30 and you can pick it up." When I arrived I asked from a respectful distance (10' and wearing a mask mind you, welcome to the 21'st Century) of the 2 Counter people where I could leave this tire, I am on my lunch break and I need to get back. I was told "Get back in your car and someone will come out and talk to you!" K, did. Sat there for an hour, saw and heard from no one. Left. I need this fixed ASAP as she is telling me it is pulling hard to the right and is hard to drive. Drove to her work and put it in the back of her SUV, had her drop it off at the Discount Tire on Hwy 59 at the Hwy 36 exit for Rosenberg on the way home. They are closed when I get home or I would have. Friend of mine had a trailer tire blow out and tear up the rim two weeks ago, when I talked to him about it he said, "Yeah, that's the one I stopped at, over on Hwy 90 and 6. Said they didn't have it but other Discount shops did. He asked for phone numbers or directions and they told him go pound sand. (figuratively mind you). He went down south to Rosenberg store as he had a Generator and Diesel Engine on the trailer and need to get it moving down to Wharton. They let him know exactly where to find it and be on the road that afternoon. read more
