Great experience today, better than I even expected. I came here today while working on my daughters car to have a diagnostic run and get some advice. These guys were happy to help her and ran a diagnostics test and then gave some advice and sold me some parts. The most impressive thing took place at the register when I went to check out. I am a rewards member with them, and I had enough credit to pay for the items that I needed to get to repair my daughters car! My advice is that if you do some of your own repair on your vehicle's or even sometimes look for accessories, then you should be coming in here to shop. Also be sure to join the rewards program so that you get credit on a future purchases when you buy things. read more

I stopped in to get a rear windshield wiper. What a filthy place. There must have been 6-7 cars in the small parking lot and all with hoods up, doors open, and loud music. A lot of guys in beater tees and falling down shorts standing around as though they were in their front yard drinking beer. I had to park next door. While walking in hearing disgusting things about what they would like to do. I speak Spanish. Inside the dirty fat man, Dan I think, didn't bother asking if I need assistance. My car had the check engine light on as soon as I got up one morning, took it down here to the store off of Coit & McCallum for the fix finder and the part needed it, sure enough it was a Cylinder Misfire with an Ignition Coil required, got all the information and parts I needed, paid, and pulled out of the parking lot within 2-3 minutes max, very efficient along with excellent customer service. My poor wife had a major tire blow-out while driving her Acura RDX on northern Coit Rd yesterday and pull into the parking lot of the AutoZone. She had no idea what to do so she walked into the AutoZone and asked where she could get some assistance. Without hesitation an employee offered to change the tire for her right there in the parking lot. Once he got started he found out that the tire was completely ripped and, even worse, she didn't have a spare. This didn't stop this great guy from his mission. He just went to his personal truck and pulled out a spare and began working on the replacement. Once finished, my wife started to thank him immensely and he just said that "God expects us to do good"! Of course he was paid and tipped well for his unusual act of kindness. I had the worst experience in my 44 years with customer seevice! Tee M, who is a manager, was the rudest person I've ever come across. She was not helpful in explaining their policy on batteries. i had my battery replaced a year ago, the battery was under warranty so I took it to AutoZone to get it replaced. Tee made me tuen my car off to check the battery. Once she heard it was located behind the passenger seat, she refused to help any longer and said she was teying to leave work in 6 minties and was just trying to move people along. I asked a cashier by the name of Ron how much it cost to program the key fobs, and he did not give me an answer, instead he assumed I was trying to get it done for free, also he stated that I can go on you tube to learn how program the key to the car. All I asked was how much it cost to program the key fob and cut the key, he could have given me a straight answer. And if you don't know how, point me to the person that knows. read more

It's been quite some time since I've come to this location and they're still the same, nothing bad to say about them. Make sure you watch the sales guy as he puts in your information. Lots of time they'll just click whatever they think you have when it may not be what you have. If you don't know, then you don't know, but if they don't ask, then who knows? Here's how a typical exchange can go. Me: "I'm looking for the axle seals for a 97 integra." Him: "Axle seals?" Me: "Transmission seal." Him: "For what vehicle?" Me: "97 Integra" Me: "Acura" Me: "1.8L" Me: "Non-VTEC" Me: "no.. Output shaft." Me: "Right.. Passengers side." The guy goes off and gets the part and it's the right size inner and outer diameter but it doesn't have the dust lip that's on the original part. Me: "The part looks like the same size, but there's no dust lip. Do you have one that does?" He punches in the numbers on the original part to see if it crosses but it does not and he says reluctantly, "Sorry sir, I don't have a listing for any other parts for this application." Long story short, Acura or Honda, more accurately (see what I did there?) had the right part with the dust lip for almost the same price. A dollar more. Would Autozone's Timken part work? Probably. Would it have done as good of a job? Keeping transmission fluid in, probably. Keeping dust out and away from the seal and the axle shaft, probably not. Be sure of what you get. If it's has a difference, think of why and question whether the replacement part is as good. Some parts don't matter. Some do. read more

He found the battery I needed, found me a discount so I could save money on said battery, and then proceeded to bring it to my truck and install it. Came here for some power-steering fluid and there was only one person checking people out, so the wait was long because the person at the counter was filling out a credit card application. But when I got to the front of the line, the man checking us out was so sweet and made me feel bad for feeling aggravated with the wait. He helped me put the power steering fluid in my car and gave me a coupon for my next purchase. If they hire more people and had them out to help, this location would be so much better! read more

Lancelot came to my rescue. My daughter's car battery was not working and her car was in my driveway and could not be moved. My emotional state was not good, she had just died two days before and I had never driven a Porsche. Lancelot came over on his lunch hour to install a battery and made sure the car would start. This is not a service that Autozone normally provides; however, he did this for me. He went the extra mile and was so thoughtful and compassionate. I have been to this location multiple times. Today went in for battery issue on my car with 22K miles (?). Fred helped me and tested the battery. Said it was a bad cell, which made sense. Got me a new battery and installed it in about 15 min. Very friendly and professional service. No attempt to upsell- I even learned a couple things! Highly recommend this store - my experience was very similar in the past. Now I need to go get my money back from Hyundai! read more

I went here as its convenient for me... they wont take a return of a merchandise i bought it in another autozone in Garland.... They are really ill mannered at customer service and has no standards of helping anyone. They try to make them feel like there the busiest associates there. I m 55 and all need was to return a merchandise bought at a different franchise. The associate figured took me lightly saying theres no way he will take that back. When as to speak with a manager he gave me the attitude and sure enough got the same answer from the Manager Kareem his name was, He said its bad for his store's inventory to take a return. I have mixed emotions about this location. There are two extremely helpful employees here, I forgot their names. The one gentleman is extremely friendly and remembers me when I walk in and the other is a lady who is extremely helpful. The younger guys that work there however I found to be very uninterested in helping me. They were more interested looking out the window and dissecting my car. One of the guys working there actually made a comment, "I bet its slow." You guys could just help me out and we can talk about my car together instead of just staring out the window at it. I hate using the term "hater" but I get the feeling that a few of these guys are haters and that's why they were giving me terrible service. If you removed the younger guys from the equation this place would be a 3 star location. They are missing some key things though and the store is a smaller one. They didn't have a selection of self service rubber hosing or weather stripping which was surprising to me. I really wish I could remember the names of the helpful people and next time I stop in I will note it and update my review. This location is great for picking up a quick socket or tool though and they helpful gentleman was extremely helpful in trying to locate a Rocker Arm for me he didn't have in stock (called other locations.) So again, hit or miss, but very convinent. read more

I am extremely impressed by the professionalism, helpfulness, knowledge, caring and friendly attitude of the employees each time. For example, in my last visit, associate Jamie came to me from the moment I walked in and she has helped me to find a problem I had installing a headlight bulb purchased from a different store, that had a very subtle difference from the original one, although the part name was the same. Jamie quickly picked up the right part and in the next 2 minutes the headlight was "on". Thank you very much. read more
