Check engine light came on and I had heard that Auto Zone would do a diagnostic for free. This place was awesome! Quick and all I needed was a fuel injector cleaner. So glad I didn't take it to a shop and get charged for the information. Bought cleaner from them. read more

Manny was extremely professional and well mannered, made my battery issue a quick fix!

Very fast and friendly. Great service. Lynne got me my new car battery and helped us change it, which was no easy feat on my particular vehicle. She was super kind and patient. It took a while, and it was very hot outside, but she was in the best of spirits through it all. Grade A+ service. I cannot thank her enough. I will go back to this Autozone for any of my car needs. read more

Terrible. They can't help you. Needed a bushing kit for Toyota Corolla. Employee on the phone said they have it in stock. Took Lyft since I can't drive until I fix the bushing. When I get there, they say they don't have it. Wasted $50. Customer service number is garbage. You can't talk to anyone unless you let them try to sell you insurance. read more

First, I'd like to point out that this is my first review, and I felt my experience was so great, that it necessitated a Yelp review. My car battery died fairly late in the evening on Sunday. I pulled into Autozone about a half hour before it closed. Timothy promptly assisted me in testing my battery and finding a replacement. He even found a beneficial discount for me, and offered to have it put in my car during the last minutes of his shift. He was extremely knowledgable, friendly and quick to send me on my way. By far, the best experience I've ever had after dealing with car issues. Thank you Timothy! read more

Jeffery thank you very much for fixing my car plate, it was flying all over the place causing body damage to my car. Thank you sir! It's the small things that make a huge difference! read more

I came here on Valentine's Day in need of a new battery for my car and had the pleasure of meeting Belle! She deserves a raise! She was extremely helpful, attentive, and patient! She replaced my battery and turned a rather stressful situation into a positive experience! read more

Roy was very friendly and helpful. I went last Friday when the storm was on its way needing a new battery asap. I went in after 9pm and they close at 10pm. After purchasing the battery Roy came outside and installed it! He didn't seem inconvenienced only glad to help. Great customer service, saved me a lot of trouble and worry! read more

I just had a great experience at this AutoZone. My car has been burning gas very quickly for quite a while now and my boyfriend and I couldn't figure out what it was. After getting an oil change and fixing a tire since my tire light was on, we were still experiencing this problem. We stopped by AutoZone to get a vehicle check done, which they do for free, and nothing unusual came up. What we ended up doing was buying a five dollar bottle of the gas tank cleaner that we just poured into my gas tank and we are waiting in hopes to see that that works. The AutoZone itself was not busy at all and the man helped us right away. We were in and out in five minutes. read more

Have been in a couple times and they're always pleasant. Had to go pick up a new battery today, a friend drove me since my battery was utterly dead, and Sandra at the counter said oh, if I'd brought my car they'd have installed it for me. BTW their Duralast batteries are recommended in Consumer Reports and in a lot of forums, they're made by Johnson Controls. read more

Patrick checked my battery and found it was time to replace it. He explained everything to me perfectly so I knew what my options would be. He replaced my battery quickly and I was on my way! Very friendly and helpful atmosphere. read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful when I had an issue with my battery. Roy F. was a total hero!

Never thought I would write a review about an auto parts store. Not a large store but had the essentials. Went in for some odds and ends and ended up with a couple hundred bucks worth of "stuff". The entire shopping time I was repeatedly asked if I needed help. I took them up on it and they helped me locate all of the parts specific to my vehicle. Upon checkout they decided to give me a discount on everything I purchased and I was extra pleased. I will return. read more

Jeff the Store Manager is super helpful! Called ahead and he was able to test my car battery and replace it for me extremely quickly. Much faster, and likely more economical, than if I'd gone to the dealer or my auto shop in the middle of a weekday. Highly recommend. read more

Went after work for headlights. The store was a mess, looked like they didn't clean up after stocking. The guy I worked with hooked me up, checked me out and changed my headlights. Kinda great. He also gave me recommendation for auto mechanics for other issues. read more

Great experience at AutoZone on Monday. Ray was very knowledgable and installed my car battery in no time. Thank you sir.

Seriously ? If you need a mini mexican flag for your bumper, green tree air freshener, or some of those adhesive vent things to make your 95 Silverado look like a Spitfire, AutoZone has you covered. If you require a SPECIFIC automotive part or common thing like white lithium grease cartridges, 29" fan belts, or wipers blades for a Mercedes.... They are going to have to order them in 5 days. But hey if you need a barbed wire skull license plate frame to hide the part on your plate that says CHIHUAHUA they have 500 of them in isle 6. GOOD LUCK ! read more

Where to begin. So I realize this is AutoZone and one can only expect so much. But the lack of..well anything was mind boggling. My rear view mirror became detached from my windshield. So I went to AutoZone off SoCo for some help, info and possible window adhesive. The girl working there (blondish with glasses) was quite possibly the rudest and uneducated human I have ever encountered. My rear view mirror is electric and is hard wired in, therefore you cannot remove the metal backing and simply "just put the glue on there and stick it on" as I was told by her..."it's not that hard". I may not have a PHD in AutoZone but I know for fact that adhesive was not going to hold that mirror. She refused to look at the mirror, as well as did the other guy there. I bought the adhesive and thought it better to have it looked at. As it turns out put a W in the column for Emily against AutoZone. When I went to return the next I got nothing but attitude from her. Nothing but worthless. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service and lack of knowledge. Naomi left me on hold for over 16 minutes. Finally called back and then was told they couldn't find what I was looking for! Don't bother calling this store! If you do and Naomi answers ASK IF YOU CAN SPEAK TO SOMEONE ELSE!! read more

Very good experience. James was there last night when my battery died and he changed it for me without asking, offered to take a look at the fluids in the car, and showed me what I needed to do next and diagnoised the check engine light for me. Went in on my lunch break to buy a new bulb for my headlight since I had just been pulled over and given a warning for it being out. William helped me and not only did he get me the bulbs I needed, he replaced them for me on the spot and gave me a rebate, although the bulbs weren't that expensive. Overall a great experience. Would definitely go back again. read more

HUGE Shoutout to Timothy at the South Congress/Oltorf AutoZone location! My battery went KAPUT one hot Texas summer day recently, and I needed a new battery STAT! When I got there, I was able to not only buy a battery with a 3 year warranty replacement, but Timothy even put it in my car...with no complaints!!! This service was above and beyond what AutoZone offers, and Timothy will forever have my THANKS! (FYI if you are in need of this work...REMEMBER to tip the guy for pete's sake!) THANKS TIMOTHY...YOU ROCK! read more

Rude people. Didn't even want to swap out my battery because it would "take too long." Bad customer service.

Danny F went over and beyond to take care of me and my car. I bought a new head light and Danny went as far as unscrewing my head light frame and many other parts to set it up for me. At first it wasn't working so he touched something else up to get it fixed while the sun was blazing down on us. I will be returning to this location thanks to Danny and his customer service. read more

Came here looking for a new battery because my mechanic didn't have the one I needed on hand. Someone looked up which one I needed, quoted me prices, didn't try to talk me into the most expensive one, and happily installed it. When he discovered that my old battery had been purchased there he looked up to see if I had any time left on the prorated warranty (I didn't even remember buying it bc it was 4 yrs before and thought it was the one that came with the car). He insisted we should check. Turns out I had, in fact, purchased my battery there and it still had a bit left on the prorated warranty and got $24 back for it. All in it ended up saving me about $75 compared to the mechanic's price. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

I went to AutoZone today,on break, to replace a faulty battery, which was leaking acid, that I bought there less than a year ago. To my dismay, the manager could not locate the battery purchase. Apparently, upon purchase the employee did not enter any of the correct information for me and I am stuck with their faulty product with no assistance for correcting this issue from the manager. I returned home and found the receipt which will enable me to replace the battery for free, however due to the lack of candor and any customer service by their awful manager I will not be returning. Now I see why people trust O'Reilly's more. read more

Worst. Service. Ever. I went in to buy new spark plugs for my 1990 BMW. I brought one of the plugs in to show them and because it's an older car you have to remove the spark plug caps. The guy helping me said no spark plugs had removable caps and then refused to bring some of them out for me to look at. I begged him to just let me look at some of them and he said there was no way any of the caps came off. I called NAPA and over the phone in 2 minutes the guy grabbed one of the Champion plugs and took the cap off. Autozone had that exact Champion plug in stock, the guy just wouldn't help me out. I've given up on thinking folks at Autozone are expert mechanics, but at least help me figure it out.... read more

Went in to check an engine light. Code 420. Set me up with a bottle of CataClean, and sure enough, poured it into a quarter tank as instructed, and my engine light was off about 1/8 of a tank into my next fill up. Now that's results! Thanks guys! read more

My son's car refused to start last Wednesday. The power was so thoroughly out, the power windows couldn't be lowered. AAA came out and checked the battery and determined that it didn't need a jump. They said that meant either 1) a fuse was blown or 2) the starter was bad. Took it to our mechanic of 15+ years who proceeded to check things out. The fuses were fine, the car started kicked over first try after the battery was on the charger for 10 minutes. My guy says it's either an intermittent problem somewhere in the electrical system or an internal short in the battery and that a day or so ought to reveal which. We took it home and sure enough, the same thing happened again. A second battery cranked the car, but the original battery still wouldn't, so that meant it was an internal short in the battery. Took the battery - purchased less than a year ago at Autozone - and explained all this. The guy at the counter slapped their tester on the battery and declared that it was fine. I told the story again. He shrugged and said that he had to go with his tester. I asked if the tester could detect an internal short. He said he had no idea. No exchange, no warranty, no more discussion. We bought a new battery at Advanced. They might have the same myopic view on internal shorts, too. We'll see. For now, I just know Autozone doesn't stand behind their warranty unless the failure manifests on their stupid tester. read more

The staff at the Auto Zone on south congress is horrible. Nobody wanted to help or be remotely friendly. I went in for a brake light and after barely wanting to talk to me the employee rung me up and walked away to the back of the store after I had already asked him for help. I had to yell across the store if I could borrow any tools, he said to let him know which. I found out, re-entered the store and the employee was nowhere to be found. I found another employee who also refused to help me. This employee said I could buy the tools and do it myself, rudely. At other auto zones I've had good experiences, with polite and friendly staff, that went out of their way--even replacing my light for free--to help me. Be consistent. read more

My son called to see if I could order brake rotors and pads online and have him pick them up and the lady on the phone said yes. When he got there they said no he can't pick them up. Not good. The last two times I've come here the employees have been great! Super helpful and friendly, they even helped me take my battery out of my car and charge it. Then they called around to see if any other shops around had the same battery since mine was under warranty and they didn't have it at Auto Zone. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it took forever to get out of there last night. There were only 2 people working and at times it got really busy. It was an overall pleasant experience. I always leave there feeling like they value the customers and want them to come back. read more

Yesterday, my car decided to die. Being a girl with zero car skills, I had no idea what to do. I live right down the street and just drove(after jump-starting my car) until I found a car service place. I pulled in and just walked in and said I need help. Timothy right away followed me outside and looked at my battery. He cleaned all of the erosion off my battery and helped me pick the battery right for my car. He even installed it for me...all less than 30 minutes! I suggest ALL girls who don't know ANYTHING about cars to go to this place. Even the manager, Felix was helpul and gave me tips. Will def be going there from now on! read more

Helpful guys who knew their stuff. I was in and out in record time sporting a much needed part for my aging suburu.

JR and Laura really went out of their way to help me out with my scooter. They tested the battery, replaced the fuse, and exemplified above and beyond service. They never lost patience when my vehicle wouldn't start, and tried everything they could to help me out. Thank you to you both ! read more

Stopped by this AutoZone back in March (?) of this year so this review is long overdue. Our city had just started receiving the first of what was projected to be a week of heavy rain and my driver side wiper blade was shredded., making for some dangerous driving conditions. I was already stressed about the idea of having to go in to an auto parts store and figure out which wiper blades I needed -- never mind the added stress of figuring out how to put the dang things on my car properly. I wish I had gotten the name of the woman who helped me at the time -- but I think she was the store manager. She was friendly and professional and went the extra mile -- went OUT to my car to make sure she could help me select the correct sizes and then when I told her I was worried about proper installation once I got home, she went out IN THE RAIN and installed them for me herself. AMAZING service, and possibly lifesaving for me because I really needed working blades in order to get home in the rain that day. This store will definitely be getting repeat business from me. read more

I am so impressed with this store. I've been going there for years and always liked the service I received and the very helpful staff. However, yesterday took the cake. I walked in and talked to Jeff, the store manager. I needed to replace my break lights. I bought the light bulbs and asked Jeff about how to access the lights and when I got out to my car, it was totally different than what he originally thought (they were hidden and not easy to access and I had no tools with me). So I went back in and asked him if he could come and look at it and show me how to find the bulbs. He brought some tools and started looking around and it was different than he had thought. He helped me open up the compartment and we replace the bulbs. He was professional, courteous, kind, patient, funny -- he was just a really nice man and it was all around a good experience. I definitely recommend the store. read more
