So I needed a front axle assembly for my jeep TJ. A search led me to the folks at quality auto parts. I sent my message of what I was looking for and I got a very quick response via text and call. I couldn't talk at the time so I texted back and forth I was given a fair price which included shipping and no core needed. I placed the order and waited. Then something in me said check the reviews. Some not so good reviews made me extremely nervous. I texted I called and was asked to just have patience and give them a chance to make me happy. I will say that it shipped out fine and with tracking it arrived within the estimated timeframe. I had it shipped directly to the mechanic and he said he had a hard time determining which parts on the assembly to use and which of mine to use. The part came directly off of a used jeep so it was clearly dirty and used, but that's what you're paying for. All in all I'd say the part was beyond satisfactory. The timeframe also. I purchased a rear axle for my 2009 Dodge ram they assured me that they go over every part before it is shipped out, that's a lie, because the rear end came from Wilbur auto parts in Iowa and they're in Texas,and what I got was the worst piece of crap that could not be used. My truck was at the dealership and they refused to install it due to the corrosion of the mounting points ,all the cracks and leaks and corrosion on the axle. We bought a transmission and my husband including 2 different people with mechanic experience.The part came with a broken piece that made it harder for my husband to install. All that's said and done he took it up and down the block and it stopped making noise. I purchased a transmission. When I installed it, it only went forward not reverse. I called and they wanted me to get an invoice from a transmission shop. They said they would give me a discount for the transmission if the other place could fix. I waisted time trying to get it fixed and two places told me the same. The reverse gear was not working and to fix it would require completely disassembling the transmission. I sent them the invoice and now they say they are sending another transmission. From my vantage point this has all the hallmarks of an identity theft operation. I purchased a front driver and passenger side axle for my 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe from Quality Auto Parts. I was told by Quality's Customer Service Department the parts would be thoroughly inspected and in good condition. When the parts arrived my mechanic would not install it saying it was in worse condition that what was already on the automobile. The rubber boots were dry rotted and would not hold grease. I paid $560 for both parts. When I called to inquire about returning the parts I was told they would charge a restocking of $125 and I was responsible for shipping. Estimated cost would be $225 to $250. I do not believe this is an ethical way of conducting business. They did not ship the single axle after a week even though I had paid for it. beware needed a differential for a 99 Chevrolet Tahoe was told they have warehouses throughout the US. These are used parts that are tested to be in good condition and are guaranteed I received the differential had a local mechanic shop. Remove mine install the differential from quality auto parts, I also told him while it was there to go ahead and service. The differential put new gear oil in it while it was on the lift they removed the rear cover and found that the gears were totally destroyed in this rent. There was no way that it was tested or checked now after so many weeks back-and-forth they tell me to ship it on a pallet. They will pick it up if I put it on a pallet shrink wrap it and tie it down so it doesn't get damaged. The repair shop will not do it. they are not business shipping or preparing things for shipping or would take responsibility I'm 81 years old.
