So I was referred here by AAA, after they attempted to take care of my situation. I was riding on the original batteries of my 2018 Dodge 2500. I dealt w/ 3 people upon my arrival, I can't recall their names, but the Grandfather of them all, I believe Terrell (dreads) and the manager. They were all very courteous, professional, knowledgable. Kept me informed, educated me and was a pleasant afternoon on a day I didn't want to get new batteries but had to. These guys are awesome, if you ever need anything in their helm the are top notch. This place talked me into buying a crazy expensive jumper pack to jump start a car. I have had interstate tenders and maintainers since the early 90s and since technology has changed so much I thought this would be a good idea. After all they stamp their name in big bold letters on everything they make, so why would they make junk with their name on it? Turns out it's cheap Chinese junk and won't hold a charge after 3 months of use. Called the store back and I was told they quit carrying the enterprise jumper packs and had switched to a different brand called NOGO because theirs aren't as good. I talked to the person for another 20 min and he said they can return it for a store credit towards another one. Ok I'm down for that I said and they ordered another one. I told them I would cover the difference if they would order the bigger heavier duty one since this one crapped out so easily. 2 days later called back and of course the story changed. Now the guy said the store manager wouldn't let him return it without the original receipt. The receipt printed on thermal paper that was no longer legible since it was left in the car. I asked why because they were able to easily look up and see the sale recorded in the computer. He said it's because his manager said no and that was the last word. Well manager let me tell you that when you put your own company name on a product that does a few months later and don't stand behind it the last word gets stamped on the internet. Awesome! I won't go anywhere else. Seriously. I used to work down the road and they supplied batteries for our fleet vehicles and lifts.. This isn't a retail/install center but they will let you swap batteries here on the premises if you know what you are doing. I have always gotten great care and service here. The people behind the counter are knowledgeable and friendly. Most of my rechargeable batteries I use in my house and flashes were also bought here. I will continue to buy from here. Interstate batteries are so good that luckily I don't have to do it that often. read more

I needed a new battery and we called to get a quote from these guys and Walmart. Walmart was slightly cheaper, but we decided to go here for the warranty and service. It was totally worth the extra $10. Jeff went above and beyond by letting us know since the old battery was an interstate battery that we probably had some warranty/credit left on it. We did and it gave us a price now that was lower than Walmart. He also came out and tested our alternator to make sure we were getting a proper charge. One really cold morning, my truck wouldn't start. Thought I'd get a jump and drive straight to the dealer for a warranty replacement battery, but alas, the dealer was obliged by law and/or policy to fix every outstanding recall--and therefore they couldn't get to the dead battery for 2 weeks. Called around the old standbys: Sears Tire and Auto (wouldn't answer the phone), every dealer in town... Then, when it looked like I'd be stuck in Somebody's Auto Parts parking lot with a new, chintzy socket set, scrambling to get my own battery out of this truck and a new one in it before half a workday was lost...Interstate! They rate pretty good on Yelp, and Interstate makes a descent battery, at least according to a Leading Consumer Magazine. Why not? Get a jumpstart, drive there, and hope for the best. They're the best! For starters, they said: "Come on down! We'll hook you up with a new battery NOW." Came into a waiting room with two seats, zero of which were occupied. Two seats, one for each bay of their battery installation operation. Greeted immediately on arrival by knowledgable staff who sold me on the cheaper of the two Interstate batteries available for my truck (non-AGM), with zero pressure to buy their shinier fancy-pants battery (AGM). Paid in advance, sat in one of the chairs while my $10 installation fee materialized a new battery in my truck, and a few minutes later, voila! New battery! The "waiting room" is the only room, overlooking both the sales folks/cashiers and the installation bays, so if you're one of those paranoid types that likes to keep an eye on folks working on your vehicle, you'll love this setup. While there, I noted a few things not particularly relevant to myself, but maybe you, dear reader, care about these things. First, yeah, you can buy a battery without paying $10 for installation--have fun! Second, if you run a used car lot, and/or you're trying to sell a car on eBay, you can buy a "certified" used battery. While I waited--ever so briefly--for installation, a used car dealer's vassal showed up to buy a used battery for a VW something-or-another for Somebody's Used Car Sales, and the Interstate salesperson described the certification procedure for used batteries: charge it, test it on a load, let it sit for two days, charge it, then test it on a load...something like that. Sounded reasonable, for the used car lot and/or eBay crowd. As for this author, dear reader, I'm inclined to pay the Big Bucks for avoiding battery discussions altogether, for as long as possible. Lastly, they cautioned me over the phone: if the battery installation requires extensive effort, they can't install it. After seeing the lengths to which they went to install my battery, I assume this means: if you cannot find your battery when the hood is opened, don't expect Interstate to install one for $10. They had to work for that $10 installing my battery (I watched the process), and by Jove, they worked hard for the money! Here's the nut of it: this is Interstate, selling and installing Interstate batteries. They have a vested interest in getting you a Nice Battery and sparing you any thought of automotive batteries for as long as possible, after which they'll sell you another battery that won't leave you stranded for as long as possible. As for my truck and those recalls, fear not, dear reader: I've scheduled those appointments with the dealer, two weeks hence. In the meantime, I'm driving to work. Yay! read more

Good customer service. Took care of a green top battery warranty (36 months in on an 85 month) with no issues. This was after NTB, an interstate dealer, refused to help me. This is on the south side of Austin but worth the drive. Thanks for making me safe on the road Interstate! read more
