Fantastic no nonsense car buying experience. Husband and I came in late on a Tuesday evening when it was raining so there was hardly anyone around so we didn't have to flag someone down or fight to get attended to. I may have helped that I had put in an email about a car I was interested in, and my husband had called in around the same time too. Lol. They were super quick on responding to my email and wanted to schedule a time for me to come in later in the week, but I was ready the same day. We were told to talk to Jimmy. Daniel knew I was pre-approved through my bank. After hearing my terms he knew that was going to be as good a loan as I could get and went and got the paperwork ready. He was fast and friendly, chatting with hubs and I about where we were from and even the weather as he went over all the terms of the agreements and the things we needed to sign. I got my serviced here about 2-3 months ago, decided to go to a different dealership bc this place had absolutely terrible service. Well now the new dealership is having issues taking off the oil filter bc they over tightened it. They also over tightened the drain plug. The 2 biggest rookie moves. So a rundown,they over charged me, overfilled my engine oil, didn't even turn off the maintenance light, didn't put air in my tires, and didn't even do a correct inspection. Saw a used car on line, called the sales person and was told the listed price didn't include a $1300 fee for a "anti theft device" that is added to all cars that they sell. Checked on line and the "anti theft device" was described as a scam device that tracked data from the car (including your driving habits) and sold your information to insurance companies, etc. with limited to no value for the car owner. read more

I am saddened to write this because I have been a customer since this dealership opened. The service department has progressively gone downhill the past 2 years. All the service advisors are new and appear to be female. I'm unsure how they managed to run off every service advisor in the past 2 years but they have. Today, I had an appointment for an oil change and after waiting for an hour I checked on my vehicle to find it had not even been looked at and was in line behind 4 additional cars that were in line before me for an oil change. This is not the first time this has happened but it will be the last. I left and went to Oil Changers and my oil change was completed in 15 minutes. A lot faster than waiting on Lost Pines. Don't be fooled into thinking having an appointment means anything at this place and plan to wait several hours for work to be done. read more

But following the news, I knew obtaining one in 2023 was a long shot. I initially inquired at the Toyota dealership closest to my house and was told they had a waitlist and it cost $500 to get on it. They also said I'd be waiting months and they had no idea when a Prius close to my specifications would come in. All the other dealerships in and around Austin told me the same. But Michael told me something totally different. He asked me what my specifications were, did some research, and found my car! Please improve communication with your customers, I had to initiate inquiries as to the status of my vehicle.

It's not my experience, but that of an elderly lady I know. She took her vehicle to Lost Pines Toyota for an oil chance. During the oil change, something happened to cause a break in the oil pan. The car was then pushed out of the bay and the lady was told that Lost Pines did not have the part needed to repair her vehicle. Lost Pines then rented her a vehicle until hers could be fixed. She was charged for the rental, for the repair to her vehicle and for the oil change. I would not recommend the service department to anyone. I recently looked for a vehicle and almost purchased a used Tundra at Lost Pines, but because of this type of customer service, I shopped and bought elsewhere. Let the buyer and the person needing vehicle repair beware! Lost Pines should not have charge for the rental or the repair and should have written off the oil change too. It shouldn't be hard for Lost Pines to figure out who the customer is ...at least I hope not. How many folks go to Lost Pines for an oil change and end up having to go home in a rental? read more

I made it to the dealership and Michael had the car I wanted to look at ready to test drive. Michael was helpful and answered all of my questions. We negotiated a deal to my satisfaction in less than an hour. Shortly after that I worked with Kalyan Tiner who walked me through the documentation quickly and professionally. Purchased a car a little over a month ago (a certified Toyota) and have been having issues with the heated seats not working, dash cam issues, and shorts in the electric lights and usb. Have had it confirmed at two locations. Come to find out the seats were redone in a material that doesn't transfer heat I have called multiple times over the last two weeks to have this issue resolved and am met with "we will leave a message" nothing but crickets. Now they say it will cost 2000 dollars to fix it. They say it wasn't damaged when she bought it, that she did it. She works from home really. This is my second car I've received service for in a week and this probably the last time I will ever take my cars to Lost Pines Toyota. Both times I dropped my cars off at 8:30am for a state inspection and oil change. BOTH experiences took over 8 hours, never received calls when they were done, and the last time I went to pick up they were closed and still had my car! No one was in the service department (it was closed) and I had to flag down a salesman to help me get my car which he said "it's on us" after 10 minutes of searching and finding my keys.... a few days later the service guy called to tell me I owed them even after being told the bill was being taken care of for the poor service. read more

Adam sold me used 2014 tacoma few days. I bought it with knowledge of MINOR accident on the carfax. I took the truck home and found out that the truck's rear bumper support brace were crumpled then straighten. They verified that they inspect it and it looks good then didn't bother to alert me to this situation. Avoid this place unless you are taking car PPI by separate place. They are a dealership that just want you to take there word and give no warranty or buyback agreement, that is a hard no for me. IF your car is a good one then you would at least give like a 7 day buyback grace period in case something was overlooked, and it happens a lot. read more

We wired cash in full prior to the end of the month in exchange for floor mats. We were told the car might come before the end of the month and promised the car by 9/1-2. A used car, with a great price, caught my eye on a third-party website. Being a diligent shopper, I looked up reviews for Lost Pines Toyota. Well, it wasn't promising. The most recent post however, was at least a year old. So I figured, it wouldn't hurt to at least go check out the vehicle, especially since I'd already been shopping around. We met with Sebastian Soto, Product Specialist. He was very responsive, considerate and patient. He took his time to work with us, getting us quite the deal on top of an already great price on my Subaru Forester. Additionally, Caitlin in Finance got me a very competitive APR rate, almost half what I was pre-approved for by my own "military service bank". Needless to say, I was comfortable the entire time. I didn't get any case of the nerves like I normally do when it comes to negotiating a deal. One thing I didn't like was the mandatory car tracking service. It was tacked on on top of the car price, so it was taxed along with it too. I do understand the importance of it. After all, with "dealership financing" they need to protect their investment. Very slow service, I went for them to change my rear breaks and check on a recall that I had. They told me they could put me in for 11 am and I could drop off the truck cause it would take 3-4 hours I came back at 4pm so I gave them 5 hours and thought I would be leaving with my truck, but no! They didn't work on my truck at all and wanted me to leave my truck there till the next day. They then offered me a car wash and also told me that there was two people ahead of me when I dropped off my truck. When I got there there was 15 people they just chatting it up. I can't believe it took them 5 hours to take 2 people out with a crew of like 10 people I'm so upset I left with nothing and got my time wasted, even when I show up for a regular maintenance they take 3 hours and are very slow with getting people out. I think they just don't know how to schedule people because they told me they do appointments only. All they offered was a car wash like I wasted my time and gas to get there and left with Nothing.
