I took my pristine 2001 Lincoln Town car to sames service for a new motorcraft battery and to replace the electric window motors with original Lincoln parts...they kept my car for over six months and left the alarm on which ran the battery out...they ruined my car by attempting to use cheap O'Reilly aftermarket parts which never worked...then I paid them $150 to deliver my car. They dropped it off with a dead battery and open windows...in all I spent $3000 for repairs...they really screwed me good. Two days later the screen quits working and their suggestion is to trade it in because we can't prove anything. Sync had zero issues before their updating of it. Do not buy a vehicle from Sames Bastrop Ford. I purchased a new f250 in 2023. In the first 12 months of owning it, it was on their lot for over 1 month waiting for "repairs". Ive had numerous issues with steering and leaks. While on the lot my hitch was stolen and hail damage occurred. They refused to fix either. The service manager Darrin and his employees Anthony and Jake make every excuse to not fix warrantied ford parts. The 36k mileage warranty means nothing to them. They are swindlers and scammers. My wife and I have been a long time customers of Sames Ford Bastrop. Over the years we have purchased several new vehicles, just about every three years. The problems started when the chip shortage happened and the auto industry was suffering on the inventory/financial end. Sames Ford was all in on passing on the inflated (dealership) prices and add-ons. Even after Ford's CEO came out and said how disappointed he was with dealerships adding on between $5,000 to $15,000 of markups. Sames Ford continued and I know because I still purchased vehicles from them. My pride and love for Ford trucks and SUVs kept me coming back and as the market is trying to make it back, Sames Ford still adds and charges for things that come with or should not be charged for. The other thing is at my last purchased while signing, Sames became really stingy with the free oil changes and this bull crap "Luaxcare package" that was added. Again, I had every right to say no but my pride got in the way. Also, the free oil changes expired after so many months or after 12k miles. My wife and I never had this before and I think it's really sorry but Sames is trying to get the customer at every coner. I'm done with sales and the finance signing department, I feel cheated, disrespected and taken advantage of. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE PURCHASE FROM SAMES FORD AT BASTROP TX. Ordered a 2023 Maverick in October 2022. In October 2023 the salesman informed me that it was being upgraded to a 2024 model at no additional cost. When I went in to pick it up in November 2023 they increased the agreed upon original price of $25500 to $29500 . I spoke to the manager and informed him that I had been promised no increase in cost. At first, I had a pleasant experience overall with my sales representative, Liz, and my purchase of a used vehicle in Feb 2023, however, as of the end of 2023, I realized that the used vehicle I purchased had an potential odometer rollback on the carfax that had been present since the dealership bought it in 2022 and this was not disclosed to me AT ALL. The only issue that was disclosed about my car was the crack in my windshield. When i was provided the carfax, I admit, I should have paid more attention to it, but Liz didn't even mention it. I truly believed that she had my best interest. I was not made aware of this until I tried to trade in my vehicle and was told that although the market value was 23k, they could only offer me about 15k due to this error! I asked for assistance with fixing this issue back in Sept 2023 and now, the GSM is telling me it's the customers responsibility to fix it. Why wasn't a 2022 issue fixed prior to it being sold in 2023? They all claim it's a "simple fix" and that the error was due to one specific auto shop back in 2022...but if it was so simple to fix, why is it being fixed now that i'm making complaints? Why wasn't it fixed prior to being sold? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE review all paperwork when dealing with this dealership and don't get too friendly. Oh, and make sure you have a copy of your odometer disclosure statement since they apparently "never give them to customers" per Liz. I was questioned why I needed it when I asked for a copy of it almost a year after purchasing the vehicle. & even after asking for it...I received a picture of it, but not a physical copy; but they made sure to send me a copy of the carfax they gave originally gave me and lied to the BBB saying that I knew about the odometer error. As previously stated by others, the customer service goes out the window once a sell is made. Went to a competitor in the same town with the same trade-in vehicle on the same day hours apart, Sames was unwilling to budge at all on trade-in value. They were $4k lower and told me to take my business back to the competitor if I didn't like their offer. They were also charging $5k over sticker price on the new vehicle. SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE! It's been 155 days today and not only have they still not completed my repairs, they are refusing to warranty the work costing me $25,000 out of pocket. Ford motors inc was contacted and tried to help me as much as possible, but even they said they have never dealt with a more dysfunctional dealership. The motor issues with my truck should be without a question, covered by warranty and yet they still refuse. I have no doubt that if I would have used a different dealership I wouldn't be dealing with this catastrophe. Bought a Ford Raptor from this dealership. By far the worst experience I have had all the way around. Things did not happen the way it was suppose to they pulled the "certified pre owned" warranty just before I signed the paperwork and then tried to sell me an aftermarket warranty. Not being acceptable they did end up "work the numbers" to make the warranty not cost more, I think? After the purchase I noticed major problems with the truck just after buying. Shawn the sales guy scheduled me to take it back the next buisness day where he was conveniently not present. Was there for 7 hours as there was no loaner vehicle, no one knew what to do and kept telling me to talk to Shawn, who was unavailable. they didn't diagnose any of the issues and needed to Schedule another time for there master tech to look as he was too busy at the time. Travelling from Houston to Hunt, TX we ran into a wheel issue with our Aviator. Thankfully Sames Bastrop was within driving distance. Without going into great detail, Darrin Cheatham was literally our savior. A wheel had not been properly secured when tires were rotated the day before. No customer service. Went to Sames at the end of the year mostly because they were the only dealership that showed me what I was looking for. 2018 F-250. Leveling kit and minimum chrome. In this regard, they exceeded my expectations. I got the truck I wanted at the price point I was prepared to pay. The problem started with their customer service after the sale. It basically stopped. To get to the point I was told some technology was included in the truck that ended up not being installed. (Ford Smart Link) When I went back to talk about it I was introduced to Matt Wassem, the sales manager who smugly told me I was wrong and had signed the vehicle check sheet and it wasn't included. In my defense, I didn't even know what it was and certainly wasn't looking for it when I signed my final paperwork. However I was not allowed to leave without downloading this Ford app and told of all the things it did for the truck remotely. Needless to say, Matt was of no help. I reached out to my original salesman, Kevin Field, who still has not returned my messages. I then attempted to contact the general manager who of course has not returned my messages either. I'm extremely disappointed. They have turned the experience of buying a new car into a regretful decision to use this particular dealership. It's not the truck. Ford makes a great product. But if customer relations matter after the sale, then at least in my experience, this is not the place to go. read more

I just have to say that in every instance this dealership has come thru for us. I am here to tell you that they do not stop until you are a satisfied customer. DO NOT USE Sames Bastrop Ford service department! I always thought I would get the best service for my Ford F-150 Platinum at a Ford dealership but that is certainly NOT the case here. October 19, 2018 I took my F150 in for a 100,000 mile check up and tune up....I couldn't tell a difference when I picked it up. I called Jason in the service department and asked him if they did anything on my truck at all besides replace 2 rear tires for $2065.75 He assured me they did. February 2019 I was in a minor fender-bender. I asked the auto body repair place to check the brakes I was told that I had very little brake pads and my rotors were warped. How did I go through new brake pads in 3-4 months? I had the brake work done elsewhere. I took it back in March for a radiator leak repair and diagnostics to see what was causing the strange noises I was hearing and because Ford guarantees their work. I spent another $2092.68 but my truck still didn't drive or sound right so I took it to another mechanic. He found a broken seal, the wrong size boot was installed on the CV boot, broken differential parts, the alignment wasn't done properly and someone used a torch on one of the bolts. I will never let Sames Bastrop Ford touch my F-150 again. I have asked for my invoices to be reviewed and to be refunded for the work that wasn't done properly. When I got there, he told me I did not get approved for the car I wanted, with keys to the same car I told him I DID NOT LIKE! I was bamboozled to get to their dealership. If you speak to Cesar or any car salesman here, make sure you ask ALL the correct questions, or else they will waste your time and lie. Two months ago I tried to schedule a service appointment and somehow that turned into an opportunity to sell me a vehicle. At the desk on Monday, when I appeared for the appointment, the lady told me I could have one on Wednesday and had no idea what service I was trying to schedule. Last week I schedule an appointment for 0730. I could not drop my vehicle off last night, like every other place on the planet lets you, and it appears to be fortuitous. They would not honor the appointment they gave me and said they were 3 days behind (they weren't working on Sunday so I don't see how they'll catch up). Why offer appointments, by phone or online, if you won't honor them? Is running a service department and website that hard? I will drive farther for better service, and I will tell all of my friends what a garbage organization this is. read more

We were a few miles into a Austin-to-Houston road trip in a fairly new (1600 miles) truck that sits at my husband's office. The tire pressure light came on and we stopped into Sames a couple minutes later. The service manager, Darrin, had us drive right into the shop and had his guys check/fix all the tires. Apparently they were super overfilled (90 psi!!!) - which he said isn't unusual to do for a vehicle that sits for long periods of time so you don't get flat spots in the tires. We had no idea the tires were overfilled (big truck, big tires) and didn't have a gauge with us. He truly helped us out with what could have been a disastrous situation. I'm not completely dissatisfied in the service I received however I don't believe that they did anything at all to make sure I enjoyed my experience. I will say that they able to get my vehicle in to be serviced in a timely manner which was great because no where in the Austin area was able to get my truck in for recall work or warranty work for over a month. Frustrating. Sames dodge was able to get my truck in same week. With that being said I did have some extensive work that had to be done on my truck so I dropped off the night before, and called before doing so to verify with the service department that my truck would be done same day, I was told by there service manager that would be no problems and wouldn't take more than a day. Well it turned out to did take more than a day and almost up to three days. I would have liked to know this in advance so I could have planned for a rental or even courtesy vehicle When I showed to pick up my truck it wasn't washed wasn't vacuumed nothing. I honestly would have thought a courtesy wash would have been appropriate but, I guess it's hard to find a dealer around who really goes an extra mile. He sold me a Ford F-250 (diesel) XLT...he and his manager worked with me on achieving a good price for this truck as well as giving me a good price for my trade in. I bought the truck over a month ago and being fairly truck ignorant, I have called and or texted Shawn for every little thing. He has responded to everything I have sent him and always in a timely manner. Prior to buying the truck, he showed me EVERY little thing the truck came with and how to use all those "things". (Camera, storage units, mirrors, locks, etc). Once I bought the truck he went through everything AGAIN. I'm pretty sure I'm his most ignorant customer of 2019, but he never made me feel that way. I purchased 2 vehicles within a month from Sames Ford. The sales manager Matt is the biggest lying waste of skin that I've dealt with in the state of Texas. The 1st vehicle vehicle is a brand new fusion. I asked to add leather to the vehicle but didn't want to add to the cost of the vehicle. I was told that was no problem and quoted $1100 for the option and to bring it back and pay that bill separately. (Seemed legit) due to time of day when the vehicle was purchased they weren't able to clean the vehicle upon sales deliver (again, seemed legit) after a couple days I was able to get the vehicle back in for a "delivery wash" and it was gas station quality at best. I also told that they would no longer be helping with adding leather to the vehicle since it wasn't in the finance agreement. My sales guy "Andrew" has been put through the ringer on both sides of this deal to where I actually feel bad for the guy. The sales manager "Matt" However doesn't seem to care about his customers or the poor perception of image that he gives to customers. On the other vehicle.... it was advertised online and parked out front at the dealership. I test drove the vehicle only 1/4 mile to find that it had a serious "death wobble" in the front end. Upon return of the dealership. Andrew (the sales guy) was informed that the vehicle was never inspected for safety before being put up for resale. The sales guy and myself came to an agreement with the understanding that the truck would be inspected and repaired. The vehicle was put back on "the front line" for over a week without being inspected and knowing it had serious safety concerns. After trying numerous times to purchase the vehicle "Matt" demanded that I sign all the legal documents on the vehicle before it was even safe to drive. I even agreed to pay "his price" of a couple scratches and one dent was removed. He refused. I was very clear that I was heading out on a long road trip right after the purchase of the truck. The finance guy looked me in the eye, shook my hand, and explained the everything was covered for the first 30 days or 3000 miles. I asked "what do I do?" If the vehicle has a problem while I'm on the road. I was told to have it repaired and keep the receipt for reimbursement. Well... 1/2 a tank later I noticed that the sync system doesn't work. I took a pic of the odometer and sent it to the sales guy. Only to be told they wouldn't cover it. I have found that "Matt" is the reason that the general public loathes auto dealers and he is a true cancer to Ford motors and what they represent. I find it appalling that a small town dealer would employ such a dishonest person. I'd be happy to buy from Sames Ford again he isn't employed there. My recantation is to stay away from this manipulative place until he's gone. read more
