I called a few weeks ago inquiring about a vehicle they had, the sales manager, Brian said that the vehicle was in the shop, and that I would be the first person to be notified when it comes back on their lot. I called today, 2/9/23 and spoke to Brian to see if the vehicle was back and that I never received a call. He said that it was sold and that someone paid cash for it. So, basically, if you call inquiring about a vehicle that they may or may not have, Brian will tell you he'll give you a call, but then, sell it to someone else. Awesome. I went in on 1/13/23 to get a new car. Before I could even make it home (about a 25 min drive) my car broke down. I read the reviews, and still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but clearly the reviews are TRUE. They sold me a lemon car, had a tow truck come pick up the car (which he lost the keys) and it's now 1/17/23 and I still don't have the car back in my possession. They are prioritizing all new customers (just to get sales) instead of the ppl who's really need their help! The mechanic put the computer on it and so many codes came up that it's a liability to be driving it. We looked under the hood and there is tape tape holding hoses together. They wanted to sell me a Volkswagen Passat listed at $13,999 when I got to close it was at $14,999 plus wanted to sell me a two year warranty at $2500 which I refused and it dropped my payment from $480 to $320 but it put them in the negative they were not making money! So I told the owner Tommy I did not want the warrantee he came and shook my hand and said I don't wanna do a deal with you!!! Very Rude Because they were not going to make money on the back end!! I was approved to a bank and they lied to me and said that my approval was only for their dealership which is bull crap! Thank God I pulled out before signing my life away to this loser dealership mom and pop and not following any of the car rules and regulations they're dirty and they're cheap beware!!! I found a car on Auto Trader and it was being sold by Drive 512 Auto Ranch. I contacted them via the online form and got a call back within minutes. I set up a test drive for later that week and that day decided to make a purchase. Bryan was very friendly and helpful. I was lucky to get financing through my credit union so the entire time spent there was probably 45 minutes. My only concern is that I felt like I was being rushed and that they may have had a lot of customers they were juggling. The phone calls went over a lot of the same information and at times I felt I wasn't being heard. I didn't have many concerns so it wasn't a big issue. However, this led to some confusion about when I would be able to pick up the vehicle and I spent a lot of time driving from Pflugerville to not get the car my bank said I owned. But, chalk it up to a miscommunication. The folks were nice. I didn't have to look at their selection since I'd found the car I wanted already. They were able to handle all the admin work quickly and the car was delivered in good shape. They are a bit out of the way, but I'd at least recommend seeing what they have in stock. read more

This was probably the easiest car buying experience I've ever had. I purchased an SUV from them a while back and my credit sucks and had literally no down payment. They worked with me every step of the way to make sure I would drive off the lot in a car the same day (with bank financing) and worked with me by deferring my down payment. About a month and a half later I was diagnosed with cancer and decided I could not afford the car I was in. I went back and without hesitation they got on the phone with the lender and worked it out so I could get an even newer car for about half of my monthly payment so I could afford treatment. STAY AWAY from this place! If you're looking for a car, first familiarize yourself with the term "Yo-yo Financing". This is exactly what was done to my wife and I when we got a car from this place, and it is ILLEGAL. The long story: When I first went in, I was admittedly a little ill at ease with the idea of stepping into a house-turned-car dealership, but right away I was greeted with the owner's friendly demeanor. My first question to him was about whether or not he negotiated with prospective buyers on the price of cars, because I had noticed other places had "no haggle" prices. He said he did negotiate prices because as a small business, they really wanted to make their customers happy and have them walk out the door with a car. Great idea. It just happened to be the first lie. After applying online through their site for credit, we got a call from the loan place the same day. They would call when they had more details. Two days later they called back and originally offered a deal much higher than what we expected. I let them know that their offer was way out of our price range, so the man on the phone said he'd look again for a better deal. I wasn't expecting anything to come of it, but 20 minutes later he did call back with something much more manageable (though still a lot higher than we wanted to pay, but we were willing to go for it). We were finally ready to go in and sign the deal. And we did. We went in on a Monday, signed a nice stack of paperwork for the car, and when it was all done, we had our copies of the contract, the keys and a handshake. Deal done, right? Apparently not. After about a week of enjoying our nice new-to-us car, the owner calls back saying Oh, sorry...the deal might be falling through but we needed to send our tax statements to try and see if we could secure the original deal. Ok....not a problem. That paperwork was quickly sent in. However, a few days later, we got another call that the deal did indeed fall through and we were going to need to send bank statements in order to find a new deal. And of course, the "deal" that he *was* able to "find" was way worse than the one we already agreed to and signed and even worse than the deal that we had told the loan place was too high. I wasn't happy about it, and figured we'd probably have to give the car back. My wife, on the other hand, was furious and felt like something wasn't right. So after some research, not only did we discover that this particular practice was Yo-yo Financing, but we also found a nice tidbit of information stating that if a deal is signed and there is no Spot Delivery Form in the contract, the dealer is screwed. (I recommend looking up "spot delivery form" as well, by the way). It basically is a form that says that your contract is conditional....or, only valid on the condition that 3rd parties follow through with the deal. Well, our contract did not have a spot delivery form, and the owner knew it. When I mentioned the fact that the contract didn't include this form, he *FLIPPED* out ! He actually yelled and cussed at me in his office and further tried to intimidate me by threatening to report the car stolen if I didn't give it back. Honestly, I could have walked out and told the owner he was screwed and to find his own way to manage the losses, because we had already signed our deal. But I didn't. I kept my calm, never once raised my voice back at him, never even uttered an unkind word. Every time he puffed his chest out at me, I simply said I was just here to try and work things out. In the end, I decided I wanted nothing to do with this man or his business, so I opted to cancel the whole deal. He would give me back my down payment and all the paperwork from the contract, and I would give him back the key to the car. At that point, even if he had calmed down and tried to renegotiate with me, I didn't want him to have the sale. The man is a snake. If you feel like you absolutely must do business here, get your own outside financing arranged beforehand. read more

I avoid large used car lots like the plague because of the smarmy salesmen, and this place was just the opposite. They were fair and friendly, and I would recommend anyone looking for a used car check them out. I had a pre-purchase inspection conducted before I finalized the sale, and the inspector found a couple of small issues, which Drive 512 promptly fixed for me free of charge before I picked it up. The others were just blah. It was crazy. so when I called this place they were so kind and helpful. They encouraged me to take the car to a mechanic or have Auto PI come out, which we did. Please read to the end. I am trying to be honest and fair without letting my personal feelings become a part of this review. I Recently purchased a 2001 Ford Lightning from Chris and Tommy. General service was fine. They are nice. Tommy (the owner) spoke to me at length about the truck on the phone and told me verbatim "other than the tires, this truck is in great shape." My biggest mistake was trusting him. This dealership either knows very little about cars or made an effort to sell me a vehicle that needed thousands of dollars in maintenance. You be the judge. Problems found upon receiving the vehicle and driving it for one day. *Brakes completely shot *Radio not functioning *The vehicle had not been cleaned, engine bay was a mess *EGR hose completely missing I contacted Chris (who was eager to help) and Tommy (not so much) and after a few heated conversations they agreed to fix the breaks, radio and the EGR hose. I had to drop off the truck get picked up was offered no replacement vehicle. Was promised repairs in a day or two. Got the truck back a week later. Constant excuses. Mostly built around how busy they were. This wouldn't have been a huge deal, you just hope that the dealership selling you a car has done a thorough inspection before they put up a car for sale. They hadn't even done a walk around inspection on the truck I bought. All the issues you could see by looking at the vehicle. The biggest and most expensive problem I didn't find until our recent cold snap. There was water in the anti freeze reservoir. If they put it in it is one of the cheapest most hateful ways to save a buck. I doubt you can find many craigslist sellers employing such shady tactics. There is a chance they didn't put the water in and just never checked the fluids. I am hoping they are just bad at their job and not extremely malicious. I started the truck in the cold, heard a pop while letting warm up and have since spent thousands of dollars replacing a blown head gasket and multiple freeze plugs. I am praying right now that the engine block isn't cracked and considering my options for legal action. I reached out to Chris about this through a text message (not sure I would have kept my cool on a phone call) and he is completely unresponsive. In the end I am at fault for trusting Drive 512 Auto Ranch and no checking all fluids upon purchase. Keep in mind antifreeze cost roughly $60. The value a dealer provides is their ability to sell you a vehicle that has been thoroughly inspected and all issues that can be found remedied before your purchase. That and financing options. In my experience, Drive 512 Auto Ranch is selling you the vehicle exactly as they bought it from auction. No inspection or maintenance performed at all Treat is as you would a craigslist purchase and get the vehicle professionally inspected (fluids and all) before you purchase. read more

Well...It looks like the dealership sent an email that went to our junk mailbox. We were contacted by Nicole who was very courteous, but could only give us $200 of the $400 we were out. Although this is better than nothing, it seems like they should have seen the problem if they had indeed done all the inspections the salesman guaranteed they had done. We WERE discouraged to take it to our mechanic. I'm not sure if it was because we live in San Marcos, but whatever the case, the salesman did not encourage us to take it, and when we asked about taking the vehicle, we were told all the checks that were already passed. We will not be returning customers, and encourage everyone who shops there to have their own mechanic look the vehicle over. read more

These guys are crooks. The first time I tried to get a car with them they gave me the run around and said they had a truck that would be perfect for me. They told me it would be there next day because it was getting buffed out at the shop. When I went the next day to get financing it was sold. I decided to give them another shot so I went back up there. I was looking at at a different truck and again was told by Tomas it would be no problem that he could get me financed. We waited there for well over an hour and finally left and said we would be back later to work up the deal. We went back up there and had to wait for almost another hour without getting any help from financing guy. Told Tomas that we would be back tomorrow or call to see about financing. And ask about trade( they say they will take any reasonable offer on trade)(Lies). Next day when I call he tells me they can't take my trade. I said to forget about the truck we where looking at and just get us F inanced on the first one we where looking at. When we go up there the truck had been magically sold. Go figure!
