When the original owners retired, they told me that they had found someone who had not only the expertise but also the integrity to carry on. This is true to this day. Scott and Cindy Brown have raised this business to one of exemplary standards in an industry that sadly has too many taking advantage of unsuspecting owners. When your car is serviced by them, you get detailed information on the estimates and on the final invoices. In a time when so few can afford to purchase a new vehicle (or even a used one), the money paid to Connie & Dick's Auto Service Center is an investment in extending the life of your current ride. It pays to not penny pinch on this level of quality and integrity.

I was on a 1000 mile road trip from San Francisco to San Diego and back over the December holidays,…read morewhen we noticed our Toyota Highlander hybrid was leaking oil on a relative's driveway. During a short stopover in Claremont I found Connie & Dick's, and showed up after 4pm on a Friday to see if they could take a peek at our car. They put it up on the lift within ten minutes of our arrival, gave it a thorough going-over, and identified the potential source of the leak and gave it a quick fix. And - for only $25. Many other places would have told us to go fish on a Friday afternoon, and taken advantage of our road tripping desperation. These folks were honest, attentive, quick, and thorough. We made the drive back home the next day with no issues. Highly recommend these folks for their service and integrity.

I've had a deeply disappointing experience with Montclair Auto Repair…read more Over the course of one month, my check engine light came on three separate times. The first time, they replaced a spark plug, costing me about $200. Two weeks later, the light returned. This time a $687 repair for a completely different issue. Less than two weeks after that, the light came on again. On my third visit, even though their posted opening time is 9 a.m., the technician, Randy, didn't actually show up until after 9:08. He was rude, didn't greet me, and dismissed my concerns instead of offering any apology or empathy. He handed me a paper with another new code and quoted labor costs of $160, with no parts even required. Despite their supposed warranty, I've had to return repeatedly. Each time, a new code, a new cost, and dismissive treatment. Randy even remarked that my car is old and implied I should expect ongoing issues. Yet this doesn't excuse poor service. If I could give zero stars, I would. I can't recommend this shop to anyone looking for accountability or respect.

First and foremost, James is a good person, trustworthy, knows his business inside and out and…read moretakes great pride in providing an uncompromising level of service to his customers. I hired Quantum Mobile Mechanic to fix a brake light issue, and James did a good job of diagnosing the issue in a quick amount of time. He didn't have the part in his van, it wasn't a common one (brake position switch) so we rescheduled for a couple of days later. What struck me about James as a business person, was that he didn't just run a test, drop a quote and drive away, he took time to get to know me and we had a good conversation about his business, and how my son wants to be a mechanic. I can't recommend this business enough, the ease of scheduling, fair pricing, and excellent customer service. Really happy that I chose Quantum! I hope you are too!

You were here from 3:38 to 3:53 according to when I opened and closed my garage. Thanks for saying my car is a diesel, there's timing belt slop, and my alternator is going bad; I don't recall the fourth one. Like I told you when you showed up, I didn't want to text you about it because you complained about people saying you broke stuff on other jobs. You did actually break my hood release mechanism, but the plastic was 11 years old and you told me about that, and the zip ties are still holding. We both don't know what the noise is but I know 100% it started the first time I drove the car more than 5 miles after you worked on it. If I always listened to loud music then this wouldn't be an issue and I would just be enjoying my ice cold ac. I've maintained and repaired this car for 120k miles. I'm not legally allowed to do ac work so I called you. Next time I'll get the certifications and the equipment. Cheers ORIGINAL: My ac works great but I've had a super annoying rattling noise since the work was performed. I've torn apart most everything that was touched during the repair and found a lot of loose bolts but still can't get the rattling to stop. I'm assuming it's just a bad quality expansion valve at this point. Not worth dropping another $1500 to resolve but definitely not calling them back for future work.

Hopefully, I won't have to be back too often , but if I do, I know exactly where I'm going. Not only did they find the problem with my Jeep, but honestly, it drives better than it did the first day I bought it. I might be exaggerating a little, but truly, I'm so happy with the work! The communication was fast, clear, and extremely helpful. Their diagnostic report was also 10/10. They clearly categorized the recommended repairs by priority, so I knew what needed attention right away and what could wait. Most importantly, I never felt like they were trying to upsell me or recommend unnecessary work. The pricing was very reasonable, and I completely understand that quality work comes with a cost.
