I was very pleased to meet Alex this time -- he's the owner and personally comes all the way from Newport to make sure customers get top-notch service. When I arrived Alex was very hands on and took care of me the parts was already at the shop explained everything and what's to be expected I was done few hours before closing and the shop it's super busy. Like other reviews I never seen a shop this clean and organized including the bathroom. For comparison my own mechanic that I been going to for decades cannot give me a simple straight estimate they have to inspect it first of course with a fee. A bit pricy for an oil change, but due to current times and the amount of help I've gotten from these guys over there years, I had no issue with it. I also had no idea Rob had sold the business, but I was treated with the same hospitality that Rob provided under the new owner, Alex! Ok, Alex daughter is a class act, sweet and very professional. I saw them on yelp and they had near perfect rating. I was skeptical, no way they have a near perfect rating, could be their friends speaking on their behalf? Well my car was shot, I have a white Nissan Sentra that it was on it's last leg, I had it towed to Maintenance Pro. I told them I needed a diagnostic test and let me know the damage. Alex daughter is a sweet heart! She called me back said she had bad news, she said it was better for me to scrap the car and spend the money to get a new one instead of them working on it, they found slew of issues and the transmission was the worst of them, she said it was expensive and they didn't want me to spend a lot money. However, she said they can fix it but it would be a lot. But she said better to get into new car or used because they didn't feel right for me to spend that kind money. I AGREED WITH HER BECAUSE I HAVE THREE DAUGHTERS THAT TOOK THIS CAR TO THE CLEANERS and I know Alex daughter was telling the truth. Car broke down on me on a Sunday morning. Did a quick search for nearby mechanics and on a whim had the tow company drop my car off at Maintenance Pros due to their previous reviews. Just about every shop is closed on a Sunday. Left my car there and came back on Monday morning and spoke with Kim about my circumstances. She advised me they would look into it that day. I ended up having to wait on a rare part to arrive, so while the car was in their shop I went ahead and approved some other work that needed to be addressed while they had the car. During this time I was able to speak with their tech Zach and he graciously answered my questions and showed me the issues he noticed while the car was on the rack. I appreciated this, I don't know much about cars but I know my way around my car. He struck me as someone that knows his trade. Once it came time to pay my bill and get my car back I was able to speak with the owner Alex and he was able to work with me on the part nobody likes. Yea it hurts with labor costs but I'd happily bring my car back because they took good care of me and my car. Very insightful and responsive. Didn't get service but I wish I could've. - mistakenly bought my own parts a couple months back and decided to do it now. My issue is I don't have a return option so now I'm stuck with parts. I replaced my front brakes/ rotors and had difficulty removing the rear caliper bolts. Alex broke down how the pricing works and how my request (doing the job or breaking the bolts) would go against their policy. As a business should, they should protect their business and customers with their own warranties and trusted parts. I asked him about doing some work that I was willing to do for the car, and he suggested putting it off until later, and explained why.
