Took my son's car in for an estimate after damage to the right front wheel. The service writer produced an estimate exceeding the value of the car and repeatedly suggested that towing it home from San Dimas wasn't worth the $200 cost. We had it towed anyway and got a second opinion in San Diego--turns out the only part needed was a shock absorber, not the many undamaged parts they listed. In my opinion, they either padded the estimate or hoped we'd sell them the car cheap so they could flip it. Buyer beware. read more

I arrived at 12 noon for an appointment on Wednesday November 3rd. They promised an alignment at $80 and that they would have the car finished by 1:45. 1 pm rolls around. I exit the waiting room to checkout the garage and there is one mechanic trying to work on 4 different cars at once. He tells me that he will be driving my car to another shop to have the alignment done as his computer is broken and the 2 other mechanics are not back from lunch. Says that Joe at that other shop will be helping him. I wasted one hour of my time. Owner used leaf blower to clean the lobby while I was in there. Rude/ AVOID. read more

I'm never a regular at anywhere. I don't even have a regular barber I go to. However, I'm a regular at this location. Brian is honest and straight forward, someone I can trust to take care of my beloved car and I've recommended him to others in my close circle. So far I've been here for multiple engine oil changes, tire replacements, and transmission oil change and I am always satisfied with the service. In the (rare) times that they do make a mistake, they are transparent and admit fault, which is a rare and much appreciated trait. In any case, this Tire Pros location has my highest recommendation. I've been going to this shop for about 5 years now. I believe Brian has fair business practices but am disappointed that the first time I complained about getting an oil change timely vs. running back and forward to this shop for a simple job, and addressing his mechanic (Eduardo) stepping on my floor mat without using a paper mat and getting it dirty, as well as Juan stepping on my bumper to point out parts under the hood, Brian opts to discontinue business vs. addressing his team and correcting poor behavior. I asked Eduardo if there were floor mats and he said "no." Mechanic (Juan) shared with Brian that I kept asking him to call Brian. He called on his on merit. Afterwards, I'd asked him to call to see if Brian didn't mind the oil change. I'd also noticed screws missing from repairs on multiple vehicles I'd taken there, and the dash rattling of which, I'd never complained. Today I called these issues out after Brian seemed un-inclined to talk and ended the call three times without saying bye when I called to confirm an upcoming appt considering Juan said they work by appts. I followed up again, just to be told, I'm becoming a headache, and my question and persistence were received as insistent and as if I should be priority and there are a lot of customers that have been there much longer and why don't I go to the other mechanic shop where I don't receive this treatment. (they retired) He did apologize and opt to pay for the floor mats to be cleaned. However, that would be one vehicle but my other vehicle mat is still damaged. In addition, I should have called out a time when I picked up one of my vehicles after a brake job, just after pulling out of their driveway as I approached the red light, the brakes went to the floor. They weren't in that condition when I dropped the car off. I had to take the car back two more times. I asked Juan if he bled the brakes, he said, "let me check and see." Juan called me back to back after I took it back the second time asking me to bring the car back so he could further investigate it. The inspection should have already been completed before I retrieved the vehicle the first time. I asked him did he bleed the brakes and he replied, "we bled them try it and see." Just glad my child wasn't in the car considering that's a huge safety and liability issue on their part. I also should have called out customers coming in after me getting serviced first and being greeted by Eduardo vs. him opening the door and not greeting me at all. Rude on multiple levels. I see lambos porsches range rover m3all sorts of super cars here... im guessing my acura is safe here haha I been coming here for 2 years now and always enjoyed the service here. People here are honest and they do good work. I enjoyed this place so much i even uploaded pictures!!! highly recommend this place for any one that needs their car fixed. Car wash right next door too! Apparently these guys are extremely busy they don't even have time to do a $25 patch job. I dropped my car off right when they opened at 7:30 and I was told that the job would take 25 to 30 minutes, I said oh don't worry about it I'll be back around 1030 that should give you plenty of time. I get A call from them around 830 and was told that they were a little backed up and they probably will have the car finished by 10:30 I said don't worry that's fine. I get another call at around 1020 or so telling me that they haven't started on my car. I told the guy don't even start anymore I will go pick it up. When I get to the shop All I see are workers just sitting around. This place is by appointment only I guess. Terrible service, the employees don't even communicate with each other about what's going on. Also was disrespected when getting my keys back. read more

When the rubber meets the road (pun intended), you want competent mechanics working on your car. I bought tires, an alignment, oil change and brake inspection. They DIDN'T try to sell me brakes that I didn't need. They had my car done in a timely fashion and when promised. Brian kept me informed as the services were being completed. He also took the car to a neighboring shop to have the smog certificate for registration done. Really, top-notch service. read more

No longer Big O, the place is now called "tire pros". Funny, because there is hardly anything professional about them. I blew a tire up at Mt Baldy and limped it down the hill to the shop. After explaining that I was over 100 miles away from home and just needed to get a single tire replaced the man at the desk rudely told me that unless I could leave my car with him for at least a day he couldn't help me. At this time all the bays in the shop were empty, save for a single truck. Mounting and balancing a tire is not a complicated or lengthy process so I was quite appalled at their attitude toward not only a customer but someone having a bad day looking for help. Luckily I found Carzar Automotive (used to be a discount tire co.) right around the corner and they not only were super helpful and understanding of my situation, but they even sent one of their staff to pick up a tire from a different location since they didn't have anything in stock. The experience is night and day. Think twice about taking your car to Tire Pros. They seem to be the type of shop that makes people dread mechanics. read more

We were tired of being screwed over by Jiffy Lube and their ridiculous prices for a simple oil change, so we set out on a mission to find another lube/oil shop! TirePros had a sign outside their shop, offering oil/lube for a good price, and after having verified that this was infact the bottom line (again ... gun shy from having been screwed by Jiffy Lube, where the bottom price tends to be something different than what you initially think!), I trusted them with my truck and left it there. They did a great job. Oil change & an overall vehicle inspection was done for a great price, we got great service & the staff was very nice & friendly, and very polite! Also, if you need a carwash, you can get it through them, just mention it as you "check in" & once they are done with the oil change, they will drive your car over to the car wash next door. Because it's referred through the tire shop, the car wash gives a great deal on the wash and it's definitely worth it! I highly recommend Tire Pros for these types of services, they also do brake jobs etc and I will definitely take my truck back there the next time I need the oil changed. read more

I needed a pitman arm and Idler arm replaced they said I could bring my own parts in since I already purchased them to do it myself. I bought the parts from the dealer off my vin number of my Tahoe well they said the parts didn't fit and then charged me twice the quoted price. Three days later car was finished wow and they couldn't even straighten the steering wheel they said I needed an alignment which they said they would gladly do yea right. I first first went in to Tire Pros with a screw in my tire to "pull" knowing it would need to be fixed. Brian, the Manager/Owner treated me as if I were in there to buy a set of tires for a super car! He charged me about what I'd pay for a drive through lunch, fixed it quickly and all with friendliness. Sooooo, second visit; my air conditioning fan stopped blowing last week when it was 100+ and after getting a rough estimate close to my home in Huntington Beach, I asked Brian if they do this kind of job. "Yes! No problem, I won't charge you for the estimate..." His team not only fixed the problem for a VERY fair price but even tightened up my ignition switch, (which on my SUV is in the center console, vertical, and hard to get to) and didn't charge me. I'm lucky I found Brian and this family owned shop near my work and will trust them with any auto repair they can handle. I strongly recommend them AND I was never asked if "I'm a Yelper" or for any online reviews. I'm posting this for others on a limited budget like me, who just want good work at a fair, honest price. read more

I purchased a set of 4 Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires for my Mustang a little over a year ago. (Excellent and timely service when I purchased them despite being special order tires) Today I notice I had low tire pressure so I inspected my tire, and I had a small piece of metal in my tread near the outer edge of the tire. Unfortunately, it slightly punctured my tire resulting in a small leak. I took the tire back to this location to see if it could be patched, and Brian talked me through my options which resulted in having the tire patched. They did it for me quickly so I was able to get back on the road again! I'm thankful they were honest and did not try to up-sale me into buying a new $400 tire. read more

You never quite know what you are going to get when you have to have a car repaired if you are not familiar with the inner workings of a motor vehicle. I am very happy with the service I received on my Scion XB. The prices for the parts and labor were fair and competitive. Brian even found me a new alternator with a lifetime warranty!
